Right from opening the box, v-moda are all about the prestige. These really hard-putting on headphones consist of metal shields which be hooked up to the exterior of the earpieces to maximise safety. Two cables are involved, a person very long braided cable and another shorter braided cable for use with an iphone (involves the call management and audio control in-cable button, although with no quantity solution). There is also a robust have situation (zipped), which is relatively compact. These are not foldable, nonetheless the springs that continue to keep the cups from leaking seems preserve the sizing diminished when not in use. The sound cancellation is not battery driven, but made from developing tension towards the cranium and the padded ears encompass the ear, building a seal. The reduction in sound is pretty extraordinary for this fashion of sound cancellation. In actuality, these are essentially sound isolating, not cancelling, on the other hand the marketplace as a complete are now applying these terms like this, not just v-moda. If you want zero sounds bleeding in, you require battery pushed cancellation (isolation).

Bass heavy media cans, not audiophile but have their times. Tldr: these are not neutrally well balanced speakers and are likely towards bass, muddy center (which is generally the circumstance with bass weighty one driver alternatives) and a substantial close that tails off immediately. Where by they seriously appear through is on stereo soundscape and media (films, gaming) their frequency harmony actually complements epic soundscapes and bass influence noises. As they are not a focused gaming set, you of study course never have a mic so no multiplayer. I’d steer clear of them as a set for listening to new music mainly because whilst they have respectable bass, the muddy middle drags it all down. Ok, so 1st thing my goto cans are the sennheiser hd25 basic edition, which although quite extended in the tooth and pretty plasticky looking, are to my head the most economical top quality closed cup audiophile cans, and they pretty much past permanently (i have experienced mine for 11 several years). I have a few hipper identify cans and although they can be superior than audiophile cans for bass, they do this by getting rid of a large amount on the mids (and if they are utilizing a baffle procedure the highs also go). This leaves the cans feeling really muddy when listening to new music outdoors the supposed genre. This is the section wherever we locate the v-moda crossfade lp2 (or is it lp squared?). These are not audiophile speakers, but aimed at a specific kind of sound.

Prime stop audio that won’t disappoint – but at a price tag. . I was delighted to be supplied a established of these v-moda lp2’s from vine as i experienced in fact ordered my son a set of the really same headphones only a number of weeks before. The arrive in superbly premium packaging and are presented in a black rubberised carry case, best explained as (but not) a batman mask. Their higher conclude development is obvious as soon as you take care of them they ooze excellent. You are supplied with changeable metal plates that go over each and every of the headphone cups. The occur fitted with black plates and you get a established of silvery/gun metal which can be fitted. It is really a bit of a fiddle to modify the plates as you have to undo 6 screws on each facet (moment screws – so retain some thing to put them in as you do it). A modest screw driver is provided to do the position. Other, diverse coloured metal plate are also obtainable to purchase from amazon. The cable provided only operates monitor skip/backward functions on your product – it does not include an inline microphone.

Comments from buyers

“They offer great sound quality, Good sound, too much bass. Damaged upon delivery., Vmoda crossfade lp2”

Requested these headphones and been given the up coming working day (amazon prime)packaging for the headphones was great you have to slash a ribbon to get into the box (oh extravagant)the headphones where by positioned in a wonderful good excellent carry casewhich included1. Mic 1 button speakeasy cable2. 1/four gold plated audio jack4. Gunmetal substitution shields5. Carry situation clipthe headphones i would say have a seriously great establish high quality and i would hope them to last a fantastic volume of time and get a good deal of batteringon 1st pay attention i would say the headphones are bass hefty but that is what they are known for. These are defo a good purchase especially for the cost i received them for.

Superb high quality at a fair price. The headsets appear in a extremely desirable, sturdy and experienced wanting box. The headsets by themselves are inside their situation (guarded) and held in spot by a sponge included board to make certain they are secure. The case for the headsets is moulded to their exact condition with a zip entry technique all-around the rim. The zip is covered by a rubber or plastic lip so when the scenario is entirely carried out up the zip simply cannot be observed and appears to be sealed and water resistant. Clearly i by no means examined that but it appears to be like extremely safe and protective. Inside the case, aside from the headsets. Are two 50 percent-moon velcro panels with elastic cross-straps which keep the equipment. On a person board is the 140cm neck strap with volume adjuster and a carabineer variety d ring. On the other is a two metre cable (no quantity adjuster) and the universal adaptor.

Sounds suppressing, wired headphones for people who adore bass. . The merchandise packaging is the specific reverse of amazon fundamentals and need to have contributed somewhat to the charge. The outer box has acquired so considerably style creativeness you cant just toss it in the bin and that is ahead of you even arrive at the exoskeleton cradle circumstance with the headphones inside. At the time you get to the headphones you will see that the bolstered fabric 3. 5mm cable is detachable at the headphones and can be fitted with a typical cable or a microphone cable. Both cables are long and i would have welcomed the addition of a shorter cable for portable use with a gadget. I have a number of on ear headsets and in comparison to my rza, sennheiser and sony this v-moda pair is definitely aimed at decrease frequencies and are the most bass across my regular music collection and tested applying spotify tracks of queen, elo and fleetwood mac. The volume placing was more than suitable in comparison as well. Some reviewers have claimed they would choose more substantial foam earpieces but to me they ended up flawlessly comfy and the headphone band not too limited and constricting.

Good accessories; great sound; fantastic build quality. . I am blown away at the quality, accessories and of course, the sound. This is my first real pair of headphones and i did not expect this kind of premium packaging. Felt more expensive than it was, considering all the extra stuff you get in the box. Sound was really good with some surprising bass qualities. Loud volumes didn’t hurt and felt comfortable.

The sound quality is good, however a little too much bass for my personal taste (also means the mid’s can sometime be a little crushed). The ear-pads are ridiculously small for ‘over-ear’ headphones; they are more like semi-over-ear, so if you want true over-ear headset you’ll have to pay out another £20 for the xl replacements. Unfortunately, the pair i received where faulty upon arrival. The main gimmick, the replaceable shields, where damaged upon opening, with completely tripped screw heads. I even tried using a better allen screwdriver (rather than the cheap thing included with the headphones) and only two of the screws got any grip. Hopefully the replacement amazon is sending out won’t have the same issue.

Excellent v-moda headphones. . These v-moda crossfade lp2 over ear headphones are classed as dj headphones. I am not a dj but these headphones which i would class as just above the mid range price have an excellent sound quality and are also very smart to look at, in fact very impressive all round, no matter what music you are into, be it classical to punk , which are the two main genres i listen to. The headphones are a bit on the weighty side, mainly because of some designer metal parts , but this in no way detracts from the quality of the build, or for that matter the sound quality. The ear cups fit snugly and are very comfortable to wear even for long periods. They are an excellent choice of headphone and should last for years.

I got these headphones for obvious reasons – i live in a flat and want to be able to listen to music and television programmes at unsociable hours. The big, and unexpected plus for me is that these headphones aren’t too big. For a smaller person (just 5′ high) with, presumably, a slightly smallish head, they are a perfect fit, and correspondingly not too heavy either. I’m not a very technical person but i enjoy hearing the different musical instruments separately and where relevant, in one or other ear. This is indeed relevant with accoustic folk music, of which i’m a fan. I also get a stunning response from guided meditation where the spoken instructions flick from one ear to the other. The accoutrements are of beautiful quality – excellent case, wire-work, everything. There is a separate wire for single use and a different one for when two people want to listen to the same piece of music, each with headphones. There is a really durable leather case for taking the headphones in a suitcae. Even the presentation box is classy.

My all time favourite headphones, i have tried and tested many brands. My all time favourite headphones, i have tried and tested many brands but none quite as good as this one. If/when they break i will definitely get another pair and i also got the microphone accessory, which works great too but the cord can become tangled.

Brilliant quality, sturdy too. . I purchased these about 4 years ago, in that time i have used then daily, and the last few weeks has seen the cable start to develop a fault. The actual headphones have taken a beating and have handled it very well. The plastic type covering on the headband is coming off also. The quality of audio though is still brilliant, the bits i’ve mentioned can be replaced though. They are worth the price, and if they broke today i would definitely buy another set or upgrade to the newer version.

Very comfortable ( they are actually smaller than they look), not to tight on your head but you want a good fit for keeping the sound in. No bleed through until you really turn it up lod. To be honest the best part about it is the bass, theres a tonne of it on tap. Really thught for teh money that this was a very good purchase for someone looking for a non blutooth reliable and great sound quality set. An added bonus is the very robust carry case. Well worth the money for somone looking for a sturdy set with an exceelnt sound.

Nice sound – some design issues. The audio quality of these headphones is on a par with my audio technica ath-m50x which retail at just below this price point. However, unlike the a-ts, these have a mode compact form factor when worn. They would not look quite as over-the-top when out and about. One of the side effects of this however, is that the ear cups are smaller, and as a consequence, they are not large enough to completely enclose my ears. They are however, not on-the-ears phones either, so they’re not really hugely comfortable to wear – at least for me. I don’t think my ears are abnormally huge. The band has quite a bit of spring too, so they do grip firmly, which is an issue for phones which sit somewhat on the ears. The main issue i have with them however is the weight – they really are quite hefty. Perhaps this is because of the metal trim panels – which in my view is form over function.

Perfect for people who likes that extra punch of bass. I was lucky enough to come across these headphones when they were just £63. And honestly, i can’t really fault them. From the built quality to the sound they produce everything is just as i expected. I personally like that extra touch of bass when i listen to my music and these definitely deliverfrom the very moment, you open the box you can tell that v-moda is a premium brand that delivers quality products. However, i would recommend getting the v-moda xl earpads because the ones that you get partly sit on the ear rather than around the ear. Overall definitely and strongly recommend these headphones.

Robust, comfortable, great sound and value for money. I have not tested v-moda headphones before but i was aware of the brand. Although they have only been around for the last decade or so they have already built quite a reputation for producing impressive, all round quality headphones. Out of the box there are an adequate range of accessories. V-moda has included two cables, one with a microphone and one is the standard audio only cable. There is a standard adapter and a set of gunmetal shields which can be changed with the shields on the sides of the headphones. Very usefully a protective exoskeletal hard case is also included. The first impressions are that these headphones are very solidly built and there have been no concessions on quality. It all feels very robust, from the strong cable to the shields at the back and even to the plastic and rubber elements all seem top quality.

The best headphones i’ve ever owned. I’m not a massive fan of headphones to be honest and prefer earphones but i wanted some with heavier bass and comfortable fit for watching movies on my ipad with and i couldn’t be more pleased with these. The noise cancelling is great – i can’t hear anything around me. The sound quality is amazing. And they are so comfortable and light weight so watching longer films causes no discomfort. They also come in a very handy and safe case that is great for taking out with me.

Top end sound that doesn’t disappoint – but at a price. . I was delighted to be offered a set of these v-moda lp2’s from vine as i had actually purchased my son a set of the very same headphones only a few weeks earlier. The arrive in superbly premium packaging and are presented in a black rubberised carry case, best described as (but not) a batman mask. Their high end construction is evident as soon as you handle them; they ooze quality. You are supplied with changeable metal plates that cover each of the headphone cups. The come fitted with black plates and you get a set of silvery/gun metal which can be fitted. It’s a bit of a fiddle to change the plates as you have to undo six screws on each side (minute screws – so keep something to put them in as you do it). A small screw driver is supplied to do the job. Other, different coloured metal plate are also available to purchase from amazon. The cable supplied only operates track skip/backward functions on your device – it does not include an inline microphone.

The reduction in sound is very impressive for this manner of noise cancellation. In reality, these are actually noise isolating, not cancelling, however the industry as a whole are now using these terms like this, not just v-moda. If you want zero noise bleeding in, you need battery driven cancellation (isolation).

Some great features and some questionable design choices. Let’s get the negative out of the way first; v-moda are focusing their on the removable metal plates on the outside of each speaker which is crazy as these are the worst feature of these otherwise great head phones. To this end you the headphones ship with two types of plate, a little tool for removing them and a leaflet of different design samples. I have no idea whether or not there is a viable market out there for changeable (and outlandish) head phone covers but i do know i am not in it. If i wanted to be an individual that badly i’d buy a hot glue gum and some rhinestones. But that’s not why i’m complaining, my issues is the design of the tiny bolts that keeps the “fashion” plates in place are inconvenient and some times darned uncomfortable. I’ve used this head phones when lying down or leaning back in a high back chair and found the bolts can snag on material and cause the headphones to push against me. Which is a shame because these are very comfortable headphones to wear when walking around. I’m not convinced that the noise isolating label means anything in practice, they don’t seem any quieter then a pear of sony’s i have that cost half the price, so if that is what you are looking for i would leave these on the shelf.

Superb build with a sound profile that will suit many. This is my second v-moda item. They certainly know what they’re doing when it comes to giving an impression of quality – the build, materials, guarantee and packaging all ooze quality. The crossfade lp2 gives a great impression – it feels well made, comfortable and durable and it does a great job of isolating external sounds (not active cancelling, though – just creating a tight seal to keep other sounds out). The isolation is very good and allows you focus on the music, which is where i start to feel less enthusiastic about the lp2 – if you prefer a neutral sound, these aren’t great. I found the mid- and high-range sounds were imprecise or muted and low-range overdone. That profile will suit many a listener, but even through a headphone dac, the lp2’s sound didn’t match the build quality or the price. As i said, many listeners will like this sound profile, so my advise is to try them in a shop before you commit to them. If you’re an old-school hi-fi snob like me, they might not be your thing.

Give them a time to settle and you’ll be happy. I’ve got pair of these on promotion and paid 68 pounds or so. Well this is incredible value or money. At the beginning i hated them. Sound out o the box is terrible and totally unacceptable. You need to give them a time to settle. I left mine for about 48 hours of continuing playing music and after that the sound was way too better. Built quality is top notch plus you have a carry case included. I think this is a great outdoor pair of headphones and will play easily from your smartphone or ipod, do not require any additional dac,the impedance is very low.

Well-balanced sound for my old ears. I like stones, zeppelin and susan vega. Using these phones has given me a new enjoyment of my music. The small amount of classical guitar, jazz and classical music i listen to is also well balanced and entertaining through these.
