Bought these for my son (who is soon to be 28) after he mmm’d and ahh’d over several pairs for several weeks. He is thrilled with the build quality and describes them as the most hard wearing headphones he’s had so far. The sound leans more towards to bass heavy side of the sound spectrum. So those who like beats by dre etc will not be disappointed. To give more clarity on an apple device, enable treble booster as this improves the vocals and makes everything sound less muddy/bass heavy. These headphones are very comfortable, i’ve tried them on myself. I could imagine a long journey with these would not cause me any discomfort. The case has drawn compliments i’ve been told, with friends and colleagues admiring the craftsmanship of everything involved. If i ever decide to by some headphones for myself, based on my son’s opinion and what i have seen and heard so far, i would definitely have a v-moda product.
Firstly – i was very lucky to get one of these during black friday. A whopping 70% offi am so incredibly pleased i bought these – although my girlfriend has basically stole them and won’t stop using them. Bahthey sound amazing, they feel amazing (not a single rattle noise) and are so so so comfortable – even for prolonged use. It’s also worth mentioning that v-moda do custom plates for these – simply order them after customising and replace the original ones. Really cool featurei really recommend these.
Hey,i have previously owned beat studios, beats executives and soul sl 300 headphones and the v modas not only match up to their quality it passes it. I was worried when i first got them as the sound sounded muddy, like it was being played in a large room but then i read online that the headphones require wearing in and once i listened to them for a while they turned out to be incredible. They do not take batteries like the previous three headphones i have owned and do not have active noise cancelling but the noise isolation is great, the beats/souls blocked more sound out but not by much and what do you expect?.They took batteries, these don’t. They looked great, you can customise the side shields, they come with kevlar cables which are much better than the ones that come with the other headphones i have owned and they are constructed very well. Cheaper than beats but better than beats, don’t fall for the big names like i did. I guess the only problem i have with them is the fact that they don’t fold up but if that was enough to stop you buying them then go for the upgrade, the m 100s. Sometimes the audio can sound unbalances slightly but unless you’re an audiophile you will not notice.

“The best headphones I’ve ever brought!, Look good, sound great, Misleading reviews when this is a flawless product”
Highly recommend , truly special . These headphones are great value for money. . They have incredible build quality. . Really good quality, from kevlar reinforced headphone cables. But of course the best thing is the sound in these babies haha. They have great lows and reasonalble mid and highs. If you like all the contemporary stuff like r and b ,trance house music. These headphones are the best in the universe. They block out the sound really well, they never hurt your head , even though it has a snug fit. After 20 hours of breaking them in they will be even better. Enjoy you won’t be disappointed.
I can see why ‘what hi-fi’ gave these headphones such a low score. The bass is abundant and definitely prominent over the other freqs, but i like my music that way. I have listened to other so called bass heavy headphones and found them to either sound terrible or fail to deliver on the low end. These are the best i’ve heard so far for £100. The build quality is also good. They don’t feel like they’re going to fall apart any time soon. One thing to note is that they really benefit from a headphone amp. I use a cheap fiio e06 without any eq added and it really helps.
A must-buy for the professional dj. The packaging presentation of the headphone is amazing to say the least. Now wear this beast and you are easily emmersed in your private world of bass thumping music. No need to crank up the vol on this one, it’s already done for you. I have compared this with the beat studio and can’t tell the difference apart for what i paid for it. On the dj scene, i wore this for 4hrs and no strain on my ears. It’s not bulky nor is it heavy. Surely something must be wrong as it can’t be 100% excellent, well give me sometime and i will let you know. If this disappoints, i will be back here in a hurry.
