Bit plasticky, and the keyboard is way too lightweight for me – but that’s the risk you take buying something online. The laptop seems to run windows 8. 1 fast enough, and with office installed i’m able to do everything i need to. I think i’ll find myself plugging in an external keyboard, because the keys on this are so light that i’m finding that i get a double hit very frequently, on almost every other word. As i do a lot of typing, this is becoming very irritating. I have tried tweaking the keyboard settings in windows, that hasn’t helped much.
Integrated webcam and microphone stopped working in the first week. The body work is nice and looks good but scratches easily and quickly ruins. Mouse pad refuses to work when it has a hair trapped or a piece of dust touching it. On first boot-up laptop has dozens of unneeded software installed that just plain slow it the laptop down. Now with the good:despite not having a graphics card the specs of the laptop are ideal and can run heavy duty software (not including games) such as adobe products. Keyboard functions wellscreen is okay, and has adjustable brightness. 8gb ramlightweightgood screen size.
This laptop is very good, i heard a lot about windows 8. 1 and most not very good, anyway i decided to stick with it and give it a try, only ever had windows 7, but each day i use it, it gets better. So all in all this laptop with 8. 1 os, is very good, and one last point, it starts up very quickly, i can recommend it.
Use for gaming, very pleased. I’ve had this laptop for over a year now, it has had no problems at all. It is very quick and can handle games very well due to it’s good specs. A little bit big and heavy, but still very easily portable. Had a look around for a fairly cheap laptop under £500, at the time was the best option for me, as i said previously very good specs, 1tb hdd, i5 processor, 5gb ram and i got it for £450.
I had to ring help line in the end and the person helping was very good, though he had trouble too. This isn’t the first lap top i’ve had, but it certainly the most difficult and frustrating to set up. I had to ring help line in the end and the person helping was very good, though he had trouble too.
Reviews from purchasers :
- Great laptop, but here are some tips
- Excellent Laptop
- Good value Laptop
All good so far with this light, quick, easy to use laptop with tons of storage. I noticed some people are having issues with the speakers being ‘tinny’ (even when you plug in headphones) – initially, i had that problem too, but i found a fix. Right click on the ‘window’ in the bottom left hand corner, select control panel. Click ‘hardware and sound’3. Click ‘idt audio control panel’ – which will open the idt audio control panel4. Click advancedthis brings up a little graphic equaliser window. Play with the settings on that and it should sort it out for you.
Good enough for home/family use. . For the price i can see why it’s a popular laptop. If it’s for home/family use then it’s an excellent buy. Not sure what other reviewers mean by it being flimsy. It’s sturdy enough as laptops go. The cd drive tray is pretty minimal in structure but as with any piece of portable electronic equipment, treat it right and it should be fine. One or two niggles but nothing major. Yes there are a few pointless bits of software thrown in there but they can be uninstalled.
