We have utilised tomtom for years and the two of our existing types have packed up. The new graphics (for us) will take some having use to alongside with the bigger bar at the facet, cutting down what is obtainable on the display screen, but then i assume that is what is know as progress. We have only applied it after so much and miraculously it took me on a route to a area that has many routes but selected the 1 i would have taken without tomtom, none of the former variations have finished this. The take a look at of time will be when my wife utilizes it on her own as some of the other products have not generally taken her in which she necessary to be. As with all variations we have experienced, i would be content to fork out a a bit bigger price tag so that almost everything is current for a lifetime but that is a small gripe.
6′ screen size is ideal for effortless navigating. Quick shipping and delivery and item as described. 6′ display measurement is fantastic for easy navigating.

I thought i would be the first to write a non vine review because i guess like many i am always sceptical of them. Firstly if your updating from an old tomtom (like me) you need to know things have moved on loads with regards to the operating system and the maps. How would you know the difference before you buy, well if your using tomtom home software you have the older system. Before you start i recommend you go to the tomtom website and the support section to download the complete english manual. It is big, some 124 pages long compared to the one that comes in the box which is really designed just to get you going. I would also recommend you download and install mydrive as well as you will need this later for updates and planning routes which you can download to your new tomtom. Unlike tomtom home you can not operate the this new gps via your computer. Out of the box the initial screen instructions for setting it up are pretty clear but before you start you need to have your mobile phone handy if you intend to use the traffic update system (you can skip this function and do it later). It says it works equally well with both iphones and android phones.
The mid range of tomtom satnavs so you get much more than the budget ones for very little extra. Very accurate navigation and the traffic facility works when it diverted me from congestion ahead for a shorter journey time. Easy to set up including pairing the smartphone with bluetooth and tethering the smartphone to it for getting the traffic data. You don’t have to worry about the maps being up to date as with lifetime updates they automatically update once you’ve downloaded and installed the mydrive program onto a computer. The directions are very clear and concise but i did find that i had to turn up the volume from the default 50% to about 80% to hear it above the road noise and radio. You don’t even need to touch it to do that, and other actions, as it has voice recognition to act on spoken commands,it took over from a ten year old tomtom one and i have to say there have been vast improvements during those intervening years. The only drawback is that it’s been locked down by tomtom so you can’t load your own colour schemes or a third party speed camera database as i did with the one. I’d definitely recommend this device as it has so far been very good so pleased with it.
