Extremely superior satnav but builders need to have to sort the lag in. Quite great satnav but developers need to have to form the lag in menu as its very gradual plus insert option to insert far more addresses at at the time as a substitute 1 by 1.

The large display screen is astounding and even with out the voice the arrow on the. Experienced this a couple of months now and travelled from glasgow to london 2 times, up the east coastline, in about birmingham, about to newcastle and all over scotland. The huge display is awesome and even devoid of the voice the arrow on the map is so straightforward to stick to. Junctions are emphasised so obviously that you will never once again come across on your own on the m56 going west when you ought to still be likely south on the m6. Touchscreen is excellent and it finds your vacation spot with the minimum of details. Traffic alerts with new route preparing is the things you used to desire about and it even responds to your voice. It does everything but play motion pictures and make tea.

I imagined i had ordered a tomtom which spoke the highway names so was let down when i realised it will not. I haven’t made use of it for way too many journeys but it has taken me to wherever i require to go. I assumed i experienced purchased a tomtom which spoke the road names so was disappointed when i realised it doesn’t. It appears not to hold its demand also nicely but i have not really calculated the time. All in all, it does what it states it can. Here are the specifications for the TomTom GO 500 5-inch Sat Nav:

  • Enter your model number
    to make sure this fits.
  • 5″ Interactive Advanced Screen -Pinch Zoom swip
  • Lifetime Maps of Europe – Always drive with the latest map. For the life of your product, you can download at least four full map updates on your device every year.
  • Lifetime TomTom Traffic – Award winning Traffic information, pins ponts exactly where a jam starts and finishes, Alerts you when you approach a jam too fast, provides you an overview of the traffic in your area

Good correct satnav but quite slow on display screen transitions i wouldn’t propose it for experienced use.

Pretty good resolution and nice to eyes. Effortless to established up and navigate.

  • Yea! A good Sat Nav at Last
  • Exactly what I wanted for difficult traffic conditions – and exceeds my high expectations

I end up where i meant to go. The massive screen is great the technologies of tomtom is 2nd to none, saved me a large amount of petrol so really delighted with the go500.

This is the 2014 design and i love it. I know ‘true’ tomtomers’ despise the mydrive interface but i’m a new tt consumer and this kinds good for me. It works by using bluetooth to get traffic updates and consequently drain the battery additional promptly than usual even when working with autoswitch off. I would like to be equipped to swap off bluetooth when i you should not require traffic. In addition if i do use/will be applying it in italy the will need to interface a smartphone to acquire up to date traffic knowledge will insert to my data invoice. I as a result would not be switching on this aspect way too substantially overseas. The latest software program update 13. 060 seems to be a big advancement.

A bit troublesome to start with, wouldn’t charge properly in the car, but after charging from the laptop a few times it seemed to sort itself out, it is a bit of a way of life though. But good sized screen, good sound and easy to use, the traffic via bluetooth on the phone is good, but i suspect they sometimes force you to stay on blocked routes to save the backroads getting busy, woth turning off the main road and ignoring it’s requests to get you back on the main road,.

Works fine good bright display decent volume. Works fine good bright display decent volume, good gps lock when amongst tall buildings. Slow to boot up, uk maps all good so far, including london, a few mistakes in france. The touch screen is resistive so not as responsive as a capacitive one but works fine in practice. Updating the maps is a nightmare, the mydrive software is not fit for purpose. Before going away on an extended trip make sure you update several days before in case of problems. It will get there though eventually if you only update one option at a time. Do not use an optional sd card until it is neccessary or it may slow down the satnav. So far the map data will fit in the system memory, but your personal data may take it over the limit. Shop around for a good deal, i got this for £119.

Far superior to garmin – but very fiddly power socket. This is a vast improvement over my garmin that i was bought only a year before and never got on with at all. The maps are better, the screen options far superior (eg garmin will only show time or distance to destination. I want both) and the route summary bar on the right of the screen is great. I love the free map updates and the live traffic that links to your phone. My only complaints are:1) the battery life is terrible. It has to be plugged in almost all the time2) sounds stupid but the socket to plug in the power lead is almost impossible to use, it’s tucked round the back of the mount (who thought that was a good idea??) and it takes me 5 minutes of cursing and fiddling every time i plug it in. Which you have to do every time (see above)3) when you are in stop start traffic on a motorway i don’t think the live traffic is very reliable but i suppose this is to be expected.
