I purchased this chopper as it and its red sibling (tefal minipro multi-function chopper – 500 watt) had very good reviews and most of the negative ones seemed to be due to either bad pieces or the human factor. Overall, it’s quite a good chopper capable of chopping and puréeing quickly. If all blades are used, what gets to on the sides of the bowl is usually at least coarsely chopped already. Pros:- 6 blades in 3 pairs, two of which are removable to regulate chopping speed- two speeds- anti-leak lid works well- quick and easy to assemble- cord is easy to store wound around the motor unit with a tiny holder to keep the end of it in place- it should have a safety feature to only engage if it’s fully assembled (i didn’t think it too good an idea to test this)- purées rather quickly without big chunks (unless you pre-cut pieces so they’re thin enough to get underneath the bottom blade by chance) into a pretty homogeneous mass- chops in a few pulses- easy to operate- quick and easy to cleancons:- 40s max. Run time- bowl very light compared to the top- bowl could be sturdier- two handed operation is a must – there is no built-in way to lock the bowl and the lid togetheri bought it to replace another mini chopper (tower t12009 spice grinder chopper). Unlike the tower, this tefal chopper can both purée fruit very well and actually blend better than the immersion blender i have at the moment (hotpoint hand blenders, 700 watt, silver). I have tried it only with fruit (apples, bananas, kiwis) and vegetables (cucumber, kale) and for that, it had been very good – fairly even chops and purées. Blends are not quite smooth, but then, it isn’t really a blender and as i mentioned above, it’s better than some immersion blenders. Despite delivering very good results, i ended up returning it after almost three weeks of having it because the bowl cracked and a bit of it chipped off.
It is very simple, and met my expectations.
- Does a good job but take a few tries to get used to it.
- Nice looking machine and it has a separation from inserting
- Best Kitchen gadget
Great little thing; though plastic and doesn’t instill confidence in its durability.
Been looking for this for a long time so happy with it. Been looking for this for a long time so happy with it. No kitchen should be without. I use it to chop all veg and fruit for chutneys and jams.

I use it all the time, it both chops and blends, so you don’t need 2 different machines, and it is so easy to clean and store. Would recommend, you won’t be sorry.
Does everything it claims to: have used it to chop vegetables, make humus, nut butters, smoothies etc. Besten Tefal MQ714140 Minipro Multi-Function Chopper, 500 W with Two Speeds and Four Removable Stainless Blades and 500 ml Working Capacity Bowl – White Einkaufsführer
