This is well made and having reviewed the. This is well made and having reviewed the sites closely it is a quality albeit rather expensive item. I would rather that for the price a micro sd card had been included, however that is a minor irritation.

Gps slightly slow to operate when first switched on. . Purchased to replace a hewlett packard f800x, which lasted until the guarantee expired. Although this has the same resolution as the f800x the picture quality is noticeably better, especially at night. I initially had problems with the gps receiver operating intermittently, until, having mounted it in the top nearside corner of the windscreen, i noticed that the windscreen heating elements passed over the top of the gps receiver. Relocating the receiver six inches further down, clear of the heating elements, seems to have cured the problem, although it can still take several minutes before the gps locks on to a satellite; something the f800x never had any problem with. The kit contains everything you would need to install the camera, including spare adhesive pads for the camera and gps receiver mounting. I found it easy to route the cables around the headlining and behind the windscreen pillar trim. I connected mine directly into the fuse box, under the glove box (2011 mondeo) by making up a cable with a cigar lighter socket and hiding it all behind the trim, next to the glove box. Instructions could be a bit more comprehensive but at least they appear to be written by someone with english as their first language.

Very best dashcam on the market place. . Superb dashcam with the most effective buyer services i have at any time experienced.

+ excellent good quality of recorded online video + excellent top quality of recorded. + fantastic top quality of recorded movie+ excellent quality of recorded sound+ pretty very good compatibility of recorded files with datakam participant+ get started of activity can be notified by acoustic sign+ professionally wanting address- recorded documents are even larger then files from another cameras- set up is a minor bit extra intricate then a further cameras- street guardian can not be very easily tranferred to yet another vehicle (e. Automobile rented in the airport)- knowledge saved in transflash playing cards are readable by hooked up card reader only.

A small compact dashcam that is discrete when in location. Although deciding on a dashcam it felt like each and every just one had a main downside besides this. The long electrical power guide authorized me to route it to the boot electricity adaptor. Similarly the exterior gps is attached to the sprint. A compact instrument (included) permitted for easy concealment of the leads driving the ceiling lining. Starts off with the automobile and video good quality is great. Anything a dashcam must be.

Pros: camera works excellent, video quality is superb in daylight, and ok by night. Package includes averything you may need as accessory. Cons: i’ve expected little better night quality for the price, and the cap of the second part of the holder (the cables holder) can not be locked in place, because of the ferrite ring on the usb cable, which is larger than the internal space of the mount. Also removing the cam is almost impossible as you have to remove cable cap, disconnect cables, detach cam if second part of the base is sticked very close. Even as my cons section looks bigger than the pros, camera is excellent choice. Every of my complaints may be fixed if cables were plugged somewhere in the base, not directly in the cam.

The camera is more expensive than the a119s, which i had to return due to a gps mount/power/video corruption issue, but the build quality, amount of useful things in the box and the the best support experience ever makes it worth it. The camera is discrete and can be mounted behind the interior mirror, running the cables through the roof lining, down the a-pillar behind the glove box and into the 12v socket. I’ve since hardwired another 12v socket to free up the original for my phone charge/sat nav. The mini usb plug and gps unit jack plug fit directly into the camera, so its probably best to leave the camera in the car if you are able to, but you can slide it off the mount and unplug the cables if you need to – unlike the a119s whose cables fit into the permanent gps mount. Image quality is quite sharp in the day, number plates can be read when cars are close by, including oncoming. Exposure and white balance are very good. You should use the side ‘lever’ to point the camera lens up/down to give about 40% sky and 60% road. The included clip on cpl filter reduces glare/dashboard reflections in the day, but may need removing at night to let more light in.

I’ve been using mine for about a year now. . I’ve been using mine for about a year now. I had to do some re-wiring of my latest car to get the power socket to stay on with the ignition off (i want it recording 24/7) but no probs otherwise.

This is the first dashcam i have bought. After testing it out in my car i know i have made the best choice. The picture quality at day and night is absolutely amazing. It’s a little expensive but i think well worth the price. It can take micro sd card upto 200gb.

Expensive but you do get what you pay for. . I’m not the sort of person who usually writes reviews but i’m happy to share my thoughts on this product. When researching buying a dashcam, i quickly became aware that it’s a minefield finding a good one. The other reviews on amazon for this street guardian really helped me in my decision to buy & i’m very happy with the two i’ve bought for our cars. The first thing to say about these is they’re not intended to be swapped for car to car – they’re are a semi-permanent fit. Fitting is straight forward for diy minded people but does take some time & thought to get neat & tidy with the cables hidden away. The power cable is plenty long enough but the gps module’s shorter cable length dictated the camera’s position on the screen of our larger car. Best to run that cable up the a-pillar & across the top of the windscreen first. The camera is fixed to the windscreen via 3m adhesive pads which stick instantly & cannot be moved if you get the fitting angle, or gps cable position wrong (although there are spare pads in the box). The total length of the camera & cable shroud once fitted is about 15cm.

A small compact dashcam that is discrete when in place. While choosing a dashcam it felt like every one had a major downside except this. The long power lead allowed me to route it to the boot power adaptor. Similarly the external gps is attached to the dash. A small tool (included) allowed for easy concealment of the leads behind the ceiling lining. Starts with the car and video quality is excellent. Everything a dashcam should be.

Compact, discreet, quality dash cam. As this is my first time with dash cams i did a lot of research. It became apparent that reliability and quality were major issues. The heat in a car can seriously affect reliability, particularly those with internal batteries. The techmoan and dash cam talk web sites were a great help in providing guidance. Street guardian appeared to be a good brand with a philosophy of producing quality products. As these are produced with the australian market in mind, they are designed to be robust. Time will tell if this turns out to be correct. I chose the sg9665gc because i wanted a discreet camera. Most other dash cams have a larger form.

Excellent product with superb recording results. I spent a considerable amount time researching the dash cam products, asked a lot of questions and sort user opinions before buying (purchased mine before the amazon listing) i was looking for a reputation of product reliability, functionality, design, overall quality and most importantly customer service and support. This product with its superb design, excellent build quality, easy diy installation (some basic knowledge is required if you want a discrete all leads hidden installation in your motor but if unsure find a suitable auto electrician) and excellent customer service ticked all the boxes and the simplicity in use coupled to the ‘fit and forget’ makes this an all-round excellent purchase. Finally and for the record i have no connection with the uk/eu supplier other than being a very satisfied customer.
