Exactly what you expect for 260 pounds. Very high quaality headphones. Connects easily in seconds, easy to set up. Sound quality is amazing, you will be lost with the clarity of music, crystal clear performance. Good position of the handling buttons.
As a consumer i rate things on a buy once principle. These are great headphones that are comfortable, offer good build quality and clear sound. The design of these high quality **not noise cancelling** bluetooth headphones is simple and appealing. [ed these are not as believed when originally wrote the above noise cancelling headphones. I still rate these headphones and enjoy them daily. The noise cancelling feature should be made clear. ]
Expensive, but you really do get what you pay for. Well built, comfortable and work well (wired or wirelessly). Pairing via bluetooth with my iphone 5s was a doddle, and pausing, playing and navigating tracks from the phone is a breeze – as is taking calls. The sound quality is also top notch, with warm but not overpowering bass. Sony claim that these ‘phones decompress bluetooth audio to provide a less ‘lossy’ sound for the listener and they seem to have carried this off, with differences between wired and wireless performance all but imperceptible. I don’t have an android device so haven’t had a chance to try the nfc connection, but other reviews suggest this works well also. If i was to find fault, they are quite bulky and don’t fold down at all – and they come with a cheap-feeling bag offering only limited protection. But given i mainly use them indoors and don’t move around much, this isn’t a problem for me. Alongside similarly priced offerings from the likes of b&w, bose and beats, these really are a great reminder that sony has made and continues to make great headphones. Very comfortable and excellent sound quality.
Reviews from purchasers :
- Great quality and great buttery life
- I couldn’t believe this!
- Simply the best headphones a moderately reasonable amount of money can buy
Almost there, despite the slight discomfort. Nice clear sound, punchy without being overpowering like beats. They do get hot after a while though. The inner pads are so thin and cause the the inner frame of the diaphragm to touch my ears which does cause discomfort and is noticeable after say an hours use. This was highlighted in a hifi review. I still took a chance and that’s the only real thing that slightly bothers me. Don’t come with an i-control inline remote cable for some strange reason for the huge price?. There not as exciting as say the my logitech ue9000 headphone as they are have a stronger bass. These are a little more accurate though.
A perfect bluetooth headsets for smart phone. I just bought mdr1rbt a week ago. Actually, i have other sony bluetooth headset, but i had frustration on sound quality and battery life. This one solved both problems. I am so happy with sound quality and long battery life. What is good about this one is i can still listen to music as a normal headphone by connecting to smart phone with the supplied cable. On the go, i use this as bluetooth headset, and i use this as a normal headphone on board with my smart phone on flight mode.
