Simply just incredible, for the selling price.

Not as very good as i might hoped it would be.Here are the specifications for the Sony HT-XT2 170W Sound Base:

    to make sure this fits.
  • Immersive sound: Enjoy real cinema quality surround sound with compatible Sony wireless speakers

Not as very good as i might hoped it would be.

Let down that can not engage in bluetooth speakers and the base device. There was no hdmi cable in the box as claimed on the advertsounds ok. . Let down that can’t perform bluetooth speakers and the base unit both of those at the exact same time.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Staggering connectivity options; native sound is great too.
  • disappointed that cannot play Bluetooth speakers and the base unit

Staggering connectivity alternatives native sound is terrific way too. . This ‘sound base’ is evidently a rather new form of sound bar for tvs it’s essentially a plinth with integrated speakers for your television to sit atop. It is a bit of a mish-mash of styles – it truly is an amplifier on its very own, but it also totally involves a tv set for use as the device’s menu technique is routed by an hdmi output to the television or monitor you have to have to hook up it to. If you feel you might be in the market place for just one of these, i would suggest downloading and looking at the consumer tutorial from sony very first to see if it ticks the bins you need to have. Although it has its possess speakers, the xt2 is also a digital audio hub, and you can join (primarily audio) equipment by using bluetooth, wifi, wired ethernet, dlna/miracast/google cast, nfc make contact with and usb. You can include speakers as well for total surround sound, despite the fact that they will have to have to be wireless as the xt2 has incredibly small in the way of cabled connectivity. With the miracast, wifi & bluetooth features, it can send audio & video clip from tablets & phones to the television linked to it, participate in back again audio immediate from a usb adhere, and join to any other streaming networks you may possibly previously have. A provided remote handle enables you to flip in between the inputs for e. Transforming from tv-audio-out to bluetooth connectivity to your telephone etc.

But wanted better quality sound from my sony tv. Didn’t want a room full of speakers, but wanted better quality sound from my sony tv. It looks brilliant, was very easy to setup with tv and bluetooth from iphone and ipad and gives a much better sound quality over the tv speakers. Use it quite a lot with internet radio streaming over bluetooth.

A good sounding speaker – but physical connectivity is very limited. If you like to keep things looking neat and tidy then a soundbase may be a better option for you than a conventional soundbar and sub-woofer setup. This sony soundbase is compact and sits inconspicuously under the tv out of the way but still packs a pretty powerful punch. I have both the sony ht-xt2 and the earlier sony ht-xt1 in use in different rooms and although some listings show the xt2 as an update to the xt1 they are really very different products as far as features are concerned. Although the xt1 and xt2 look very alike, and have a similar sound, the connectivity is very different for each model – the xt1 has plenty of physical inputs for external equipment whereas the xt2 is virtually all wireless. The xt1 has three hdmi inputs plus an hdmi output to connect to the tv and can also be connected to analogue sound sources too – the xt2 has a single hdmi output to connect to the tv and that is it; anything else has to connect to the xt2 wirelessly. Both speakers have built-in bluetooth connectivity but the xt2 can also be connected to your router for additional wireless features that the xt1 does not have – spotify connect and google cast for example. The xt2 also comes with a much better remote control than the xt1 with had one of the silliest designs i’ve yet seen in a sony product – the xt2 has a proper remote with good access to the many useful features such as being able to control the sub-woofer volume independently to suit the sound source. Although i am pleased with both the sony xt1 and the xt2 they are not interchangeable where i have them in use and the lack of physical connectivity on the xt2 and the fact no hdmi cable is actually supplied with it makes it four stars rather than five. However, if the features of the xt2 suit your setup then you will not be disappointed by the sound quality and ease of use.

Bluetooth linking to phone etc is so good it has partly supplanted the hifi.

For months i finally decided a soundbase would look better than a soundbar. After procrastinating for months i finally decided a soundbase would look better than a soundbar. This sony soundbase had excellent reviews so i decided to invest my hard earned money and it was a great decision. I have a 49″ lg tv and it sits perfectly on top of the base. The sound quality is awesome, i am fairly fussy about these things and was tempted to stick with bose, but to be fair for the size of our front room this sony is as good as you could want.

Chunky bit of kit which fits nicely in my tv unit. Sound quality is surprigly quite good too. Obviously it’s no match for a powerful surround sound amp with big bulky speakers and subwoofers all over the place, but it looks great so it’s a nice trade off.

LuguLake Soundbar Speaker System, Brilliant, had a couple of sound bars before I

Exceptional plan, a brief twist and you have two speakers as a substitute of one overlong a person as others do, just just one word of warning, the sub woofer is not 8′, from the ground it is 14′ tall, nine and a fifty percent inches vast, and appx 13′ …
