My daughter loves these, she can wander anywhere in her room listening to her music full blast, piping minecraft through them, or just happily hearing the sound of tuxpaint burble away while she creates her next masterpiece. The finer points of volume control, recharging and even turning the things on sometimes elude her, as the buttons are a bit fiddly (especially for dad hands) but the battery lasts for ages. Great value for money, and one happy child.
Bought these mainly because of the excellent battery life promised. I use them for audio on a samsung series 6 smart tv along with an avantree bluetooth transmitter unit. They charge quickly when plugged into my asus laptop usb port. . But charge even quicker with my blackberry phone charging lead without any problems well made phones with very easy access to all controls which are intuitive and also have very positive responsive actions. . And the volume button also has a handy ‘raised dot ‘ so the user can easily determine vol + and vol – whilst wearing the phones very good sound quality for this price point , and this btn200m model is still being sold by some online outlets at over £75. These are a definite ‘good buy ‘ in all respects very minimal ‘sound leakage ‘. Even if you are sitting close to someone else whilst using these for tv viewing.
I have been looking and buying and trying various bluetooth headsets recently with the following criteria1) lightweight2) micro usb charging3) nfc4) can also pair without hassle to a bluetooth transmitter connected to a tv so my dad can listen to programmes undisturbed. With the price currently reduced, this set, out of the box worked almost perfectly. Like most phones, it required a good 24hrs use for the audio depth to warm up. I am usually v wary with sony headphones but so far so good. Small criticism – not noise-cancelling so please set your expectations as such. Also – some tracks came across quite tinny with not enough bass, but not all the time. Watched fast and furious using this and a taotronics bluetooth transmitter and this proved to be a v enjoyable cinematic experience. Another bonus is that it is v lightweight so you won’t feel any discomfort from prolonged use pairs up with smartphone and tablet no problem and able to take calls as and when required. Even did a test run with ‘ok google’ which worked v wellcan you get better headphones with the same convenience/functionality/audio combination?.Maybe – the auguste650 is a good bet, although a bit bigger and i had constant problems with the bluetooth (i think it was just me and bad luck though)but at this price, you’d be hard pressed to find better.
I purchased this product two years ago. After having several pairs of wired headphones that kept on breaking, i had chosen to opt for bluetooth headphones and i certainly have no intent on going back to aux cords. Battery life- (of the headphones) last way longer than you’d expect it. On occasions i have not had to charge them for two weeks. Even now at two years old still only charging every 10-14days. (of the device attached) i have used this with my ipad/ iphone/ macbook and the battery of all does drop but this is to be expected. Most other bluetooth functions drop equal as fast, this should not be a putting off factor in my opinion. Sound quality- the sound quality from the speakers is equal to wired headphone, there’s no noticeable difference in my opinion. The sound quality of the microphone is poor, the person on the other end of the line often says they can’t hear me when i talk to them. Connectivity- #1) one the initial connection of the headphone to the device is quite confusing (and i found the instructions manual non-helpful), #2 at the start of videos/music/etc there’s is a little glitch, after regular playback it has disappeared sometimes.
I bought these after my cats had eaten through my rather expensive sennheiser headphones (more than 3x the price of these). I’d spent a lot of time listening to headphones to determine that sennheiser suited my music tastes and listening preferences only to have them destroyed by kittens. So decided (after some failed repairs) to go wireless. I’d tried it before and was very disappointed with bluetooth as a mechanism for music streaming but with the later versions it is soo much better. Pro’si really want to love these headphones as everything about them is great in terms of build, weight, controls, comfort, pairing is easy and they last for ages (i’ve been using them for a month and haven’t charged them yet. – box says 40+ hours listening time). They feel like an expensive pair of headphones if a little ‘light’ to feel ultra deluxe – but you want them light. Right?con’si do feel i’m being a bit harsh here but the sound quality, whilst is very good doesn’t compare to my older wired headphones. An unfair comparison but an important one. If you are an audiophile then you need to stay away from these for your prime listening experience.
Great item and works perfect it was well packaged and arrived on time i highly recommend getting one of these my partner loves it the description of the item is exactly right. The price of the item is brilliant as i have seen them sell for a lot more than i paid for this. I would recommend the seller as i had no problems with the seller or the item thanks for an easy and pleasant sale :0).
Very sceptical of bluetooth headsets, especially one as cheap as this – its always the bass thats key. In this its crisp and wear these things everywhere now. Picked up by the phone and laptop easily, great for web conferences, booming clear sound. Microphone seems inadequate and i have never figured out nfc but the controls work fine and for the price i dont think theres anything out there that comes close.

“Don’t miss these Headphones .Brilliant !
, Went up £14 pounds since I bought them so this review may be more positive than justified
, great pair of headphones
Did a lot of shopping around for my 1st bluetooth headphone, i’m a big fan of headphones – i have 3 x sennheiser, 1 x b&w and a few other older models. Having read all the reviews on these and while i quite fancied the bose £175 model, i decided to try these. I’m completely blown away by the quality of the sound and the musical warmth, they are lightweight, ok for walking – perhaps not for running ( but not tried yet ) they are quite large and obvious, everyone knows you have headphones on. But i love them, great clarity of sound, really easy to pair ( i’ve paired them to 5 components- as has my daughter) slightly plasticy feel but definitely does not detract from the product and good old sony have laid out the buttons really well so easy to control volumes while out walking. – not tried the phone over-ride yet but i’m confident that will be fine. Brilliant and low cost (not cheap).
I would be very happy with these headphones. Sound quality is great and so is battery life, they’re also very comfortable to wear. However, i have to return them because of a major flaw: audio-video sync. It’s fine on my mac laptop and on my samsung phone, but it’s totally off on my ipad, which is the device i use the most for watching videos. Basically, that makes these headphones useless for me, which is why i’m returning them after trying for a couple of weeks of trying if i could get a hint on how to fix the issue.
Brought these for my commute. They could be louder as the sound of the train overpowers the the video/music you are listening to. Another downfall of these is that there is nothing that informs you as to how low the battery is, when you do realise the battery is low it is usually too late as they switch off straight away. Despite this you can get roughly 25-30 hours of playback before you have to recharge them. Bluedio ht are cheaper and louder however they leak a lot of sound. If leaking sound isn’t your main concern then purchase them.
Long lasting and not restricting, and stay on your head well without clamping it like others i’ve bought have. Battery life is far better than all the other wireless headphones i’ve seen. Only need to charge every 2/3 days over night to prevent it dying on me while in use. Was a bit of hassle ensuring that the ‘bluetooth audio renderer’ is the default playback device and not the ‘bluetooth hands-free audio’ as this has worse quality sound. I disabled the second device to ensure it is never the default. I would not recommend these for skype or communicating as the sound and microphone are bad, but defaulting ‘bluetooth audio renderer’ is good for general use, not for audio snobs. Also has decent range, but if you go too far out of range it will disconnect and cause audio to go out of sink when you return, also if you turn them off once you have to turn them off and on again twice to get them connected again for some reason. They don’t block outside sounds which is good for me as i’m not in a noisy environment and want to hear what happens around me too, other wise you have to keep freeing an ear anytime someone talks to you. I’ve had them since april 2015 and they are still in good quality with no deterioration at all and functioning as usual. I also bought them when they were £30, and for £30 they were great, but i cannot compare them to headphones £40 upwards as ive never spent that much on headphones.
Very decent set of bluetooth headphones. Pros:- very comfortable- good sound quality- media/call buttons on headset are very useful- fantastic battery life. Cons:- could have a higher maximum volume. – bluetooth sometimes drops out when walking. Not very often but frequently enough to become a minor annoyance.
Pros:-bluetooth with android phone very easy to set up, good instructions included-very clear sound. Not the loudest, but i could hear music fine on public transport. -very comfortable, even if you’re wearing glasses (they don’t crush you’re temple as they’re light)-pretty good value for price, i’d pay £40 at most for them. -they’re good enough for light/casual use everyday. Cons:-sound leaks a lot in a quiet room, even if on medium volume-not loud enough to completely drown out sounds around you, which is fair enough as they’re not advertised as noise cancelling. -not that much bass, you can’t really ‘feel’ the music if that makes sense-they look quite delicate, but many other reviews have said that they’re long lasting, and that they’ve survived drops etc. I’ve only had mine for a couple days so that’s probably true.
30 and charged for about 90 mins so they must have been petty much fully charged on receipt. Connect well on bluetooth but can’t get the to connect with nfc even via the app. Probs my kit not the headset though. Really bassey compared to most budget phones i’ve tried ehen listening to light music but clear and even with serious music. At this price ‘ impressive’. Would recommend for allround use. Have to wait and see if they deliver anything like the rn time that sony quote. Nicely packaged good build quality and storage bag a nice touch.
The original was purchased through the sony website and the second via amazon. Obviously a huge difference in price. As a daily user of these i can say they are comfortable and of reasonable quality. The battery life from the amazon purchase however seemed to need to be charged almost every other day. The sony ones lasted from weekly recharges. I can’t tell you how long they may last because it really depends how heavy handed or clumsy you are. Coming from an unreasonably clumsy person, each pair was replaced roughly after a year. The reason for this is because they become less efficient at staying firm on your ears and more efficient at falling off your head when doing laces up, or whatever.
Very comfortable, i use them in the transports and for running without any problem. Only downside, a clicking thing in the left ear when i run (it’s mechanical), but that definitely doesn’t cost it a starimpressive battery life. I have been using them intensively every day for 1 month now and i only had to charge it once. I really didn’t expect such a good battery. The controls on the side are really life-changing, no need to take your phone out any more. Of course this type of controls is not specific to this product and i guess all bluetooth headsets have them, but the ones here are really well designed from what i can tell. You’ll never want to go back to a regular headset after thispairing (in nfc) was easy as 1,2,3. A bit less straightforward for my friend’s iphone (i had to read the manual to understand the pairing process with the button). I highly recommend this headset. Sony expertise all along, and bluetooth headset are the future.
I wanted these for my kindle fire as i use it loads for music and videos. It paired with the kindle easily. They fit my head well and are easily adjustable and pretty comfortable. They have held their charge well so far but will adjust the review if that falters. The sound quality has been excellent for my film watching and spotify needs. The range has also been pleasingly good as i did not expect to leave the room and still get good audio. Excellent for the current £40 price really.
They feel and look plastic but is ok. After a while they getting lose , they not going to be as tight as when i you first bought them. Again it is ok normal for the price point and the quality. When the battery is low the quality of the sound is getting bad and start to have lose in the range. Again for the price point and for wireless headphones it is normal. But what is not expected is the battery life. I’m listening to music at least two hours a day and they last almost a month around 25 days to be more precise. The quality of the sound for wireless and price point is very good. The only annoying thing is when you are running or jus holding them you can hear the noise of the plastic hinges and the plastic general. But this is if you are more active.
Headphones arrived well packaged, inside was a carrying pouch, usb charging cable and manuals. The first thing i did was take out the headphones and admired how light they felt in my hands and how good they looked. I placed them on and they felt pretty comfortable , i put my sony xperia sp to the left headphone and both devices easily paired within 3 or 4 seconds. I opened up the music player and played a song, i was surprised by how good the sound quality was from a really decently priced pair of headphones. Plenty of bass and i could change the equaliser on my phone to suit my preferences. Overall i am very impressed with these headphones and extremely satisfied. I have been using them all day and have not taken them off yet, the battery has not died yet and apparently it lasts over 40 hours. I could walk around the house whilst leaving the phone in my bedroom and the headphones would still stay connected throughout most of the house. The headphones are fairly loud and the controls are very easy to use, i would definitely recommend these headphones to anyone who wants a good pair of headphones without spending too much money.
I wear these every day walking to and back from the gym then use them for as the sound system on my pc so that i can shut everything out and get on with stuff. Usually i use them for around one to two hours a day. They have a crazy long battery life, sometimes weeks go by without a charge. Although there is no warning when the charge has gone and they quite quickly die, not a massive problem though. The sound is very good, clear with a rich enough bass for the price, much better than earbuds as the cups help keep out traffic noise. The controls are easy to get used to and they are a very smart looking set of headphones, with a quality build and even light rain shower proof. You can spend (waste) a lot more on headphones than these but if your that way inclined you wouldn’t be reading a review on a mid range set.
I own these beauties as amazon will show you and what an amazing pair of headphones these are. Firstly a very attractive looking pair of headphones, how do i review these, i will start with pros and cons i thinkpros40 hours battery life (hardly had to charge these since i got them and i have had them for quite a while)really good sound, they can go much louder than most bluetooth headphones i have had (this is my 4th bluetooth pair as i was not satisfied with the others in the end for various reasons)bluetooth connection has a good range and there are audio cues to tell you when your bluetooth has gone out of range. , you can turn nfc permanently on or off (more about nfc later) there is a big tactile power button again with sound that you can tell whether the headphones have been turned on or off. There is a call button (which is round so its easy to identify) press briefly once to activate voice commands or hold down button to make call ( android). There is a rocker switch to change tracks push forward or back briefly to change track. Hold forward or back to fast forward or back (device and app dependent) or push in the rocker switch to play or pause. And also a rocker switch for volume all these buttons are really tactile and robust. Pouch (dependant on model) dr-btn200m has an excellent case to protect the headphones and is the japan version of the headphone (i got this model for an amazing £35) or dr-btn200 without a case. If you shop around like i did you can find the ones with a case cheaper than the non case model.
Plenty of more in depth reviews here- just confirming that these are excellent headphones for the price. They paired easily and quickly and worked right to the bottom of a 50ft (about 15m) garden from a bluetooth transmitter inside the house. Sound quality is excellent and they are comfortable to wear. Others have commented on the fact that they do not totally reduce outside sounds but i would say they are typical for this type of on ear design. Battery life is awesome- difficult to measure but clearly way ahead of any other headphones i’ve got. Some have commented negatively about the construction but to me they seem to be of the non-breakable type of plastic and the construction has the benefit of them being extremely light and as a consequence very comfortable to wear. I see no reason to doubt their longevity in the design.
This is the first ever bluetooth headset i have purchased and i love it. Its super light weight, sturdy and fits perfect. The sound quality is noticeably better than comparable wired headphones. Its very comfortable as the padding is soft but not too soft so your ear touches the driver. The other great thing about it is the battery life, which will last for at least 2 days of using for about 4 hours a day. Connectivity is superb with good range and no interference. The included pu leather bag is super soft and feels really luxurious. The controls are all located on the right side except the nfc on/off switch which is on the left. You will get used to them very quickly and skip songs, change volume and answer the phone. The only issues i have had is talking through it in high winds, which to be fair is an issue with any device.
I really like these head[phones, they are well worth the money i pad £36. They seem to be well made and have good sound quality. The battery seems to last for days, i’ve had these headphones well over a week before having to charge them up. They can get a little uncomfortable after wearing for an hour or so but i’m not going to nit pick. The bluetooth range is very good i can wonder around my flat without losing connection. The only thing negative i would say is that you cannot use these headphones with a wired connection which would have been nice. But overall a good quality budget pair of bluetooth headphones, i don’t think you can go much wrong for the price.
The best if you want quality and battery life. These are perfect if you have a smartphone and want wire free quality listening, one charge lasts for ages, more than any other wireless heaphones. It’s compatible with iphone and android – pairing is done on the headphones by holding a button for 7 seconds. They are light and well made.
I brought these as a replacement for some fsl zero’s. As soon as got them out the box i was dubious about the build quality, the headband isn’t padded and the headphones themselves seemed to made out of cheap plastic. Then you get to the sound quality, tinny and not a rich sound at all. Also when i tried them outside the music kept dropping out. They would be ok watching tv shows or radio talk shows but not for good quality music listening imo. They stayed on the head tightly and the controls were easy to use, also indoors the bluetooth range was good, but i was to disappointed with the sound quality to keep,so i sent them back and ordered another pair of gsl zeros.
Excellent, light, right price. A cheap sony but with their well known quality. It is big indeed, so big that actually wearing them a counter lady asked for my id while buying wine, hence she thought it was suitable for younger lads. But its light weight makes it easy to carry. I just miss noise cancelation as i have found that i cannot use it on planes because i cannot distinguish the speech on videos (however english is not my first language). Sometimes i find it difficult to turn it off but the rest of the controls are excellent. It is a right substitute for more expensive versions. I have had other chinese wireless headsets they all have been cheap and of a very good quality but sony has achieved to deserve their higher price tag with a clutter free style, low weight and clear sound.
These really are superb headphones for the price. Used with my sony experia z3 it instantly connects with nfc. Sound is good – not completely soundproofed to outside noises but very good. Pretty comfortable for an hour’s listen. The sound and pause buttons works well on the headset – well laid out and people say the voice sound is clear on phone calls. Battery also lasts a long time. Comes with a pouch which is nice to keep it tidy in a travel bag. Bearing in mind i had a pair of sennheiser bluetooth for £180 that are not as comfortable i am delighted by the value of money to performance.
As has already been said there’s a little noise leak in & out but i only noticed it in quiet parts of a tune i was listening to when i was stood directly under a speaker playing music at a loud level, otherwise they’re prefect especially when teamed with a sony phone (z3). The hands-free phone functionality is an added bonus as are the on-ear controls (next, previous, volume etc). Very very comfortable on my ears as they’re very light & i’m hypersensitive when it comes to headphones so if they’re pain free for me i would imagine they’d be good for 99. As for sound i’m not a audiophile but i do know when headphones are pants & when they’re not & in my opinion these are great. Not quiet as good as my beats solo but i didn’t expect them to be with them being bluetooth/nfc but i was impressed all the same. I mainly listen to dance/old skool/rave type music & i couldn’t be happier.
Great set of headphones – definitely a bargain at £50. The battery is perfect, i only charge them up every week and usage includes walking to work and back, as well as some extra hours of recording (perfect for making teach tracks). The one qualm i have is that the microphone isn’t great, and i miss my iphone earphones for this as it isn’t as easy to talk to people on the phone. Also, they have a habit of skipping the first couple of seconds of songs sometimes, which is a bit annoying – hence the 4 stars. But to be honest, they produce a wonderful sound, and i love the wireless-ness of them.
Not the best wireless head set ive used, sound quality is better the other sbh 60 model of wireless by sony. However given the price and it is over 200$ cheaper than beats solo wireless, i would say its bang for your buck. I am new to wireless bluetooth head phones, i felt there were times i got frustrated and had to re pair my head phones with my ipod, maybe it is common to other brands also, i do not know about that. But i got them for 40 quid and at that price range, excellent value for money and great battery life, lasted me a whole week almost.
For the price point i don’t think you will get better. The sound is good and the battery life excellent. The controls easy to access and simple to use. The mic sound quality when taking a call is also excellent. The only negative i have is that they seem to lack a bit of volume and that they are not very tight. I’d say i have an average size head but these fall off any time i sneeze or bend over to pick something up.
I’m a graphic designer working in a busy marketing office and sometimes its nice to be able to shut yourself away and get on with work so i decided on buying these bluetooth headphones as it would allow me to stream from my mac and not clutter up my work area. At first i thought i wouldn’t get on with the product as they sit on your ears rather than over which is what i prefer but they sit nicely on the ear and because of their very light weight design (primarily nice looking plastic) don’t end up pinching your head after long usage and you wouldn’t really notice them. I’ve also been pleasantly surprised by the sound quality as i wasn’t expecting a great deal for under £50 but again i’ve found them to be more than adequate. The product also came with a nice carry pouch thats useful to store them in, phone connectivity for answering calls, skip tracks and pause buttons which in my mind made the headphones that all nicer. Very happy with my purchase and would advice buying them instead of going for the cheaper option as for the extra money you get a far better product.
For the money i am very impressed. The battery lasts a very long time, the sound quality is very good and the microphone during calls never seems to be a problem. Nobody seems to have noticed i am using them instead of the phone during a call. I wish the blue light that flashes wasn’t as bright, if using in bed, but not an issue really. The only thing missing is active noise cancellation, but these aren’t in the same price bracket as any other headphones that include it.
Bought for my girlfriend & having tried the philips shb9100 which quite frankly were awful in every respect , these were much better although not loud enough using spotify premium on its best settings as like me she enjoys her music. I would say 90% of people of people would be happy with the sound however not the clearest sound especially compared to my senheisers mm100 which are breathtaking in comparison – i know they are over double the price but like most things in life- you always get what you pay for.
