And i made a great choice. . I was looking for headphones for several months, and i made a great choice.

Best headphones i have ever owned. These are the very best headphones i’ve ever owned. In the previous i have had challenges with the cable failing (such as on my sennheiser high definition 205) so this time i resolved to purchase a established with a detachable/replaceable cable. The build high-quality of the headphones is superb – the frame is sturdy and the hinges glance like they will past. The cable is thick and tricky and has a strong bayonet fitting to continue to keep it connected to the headphones. They are really snug, even though a little bit heavy. I will not dress in mine for toooo prolonged at a time but i can see these currently being pretty large if you dress in them all day. I wore the srh840 and srh440 in a songs shop in advance of acquiring, and located the srh840 to be noticeably far more cozy. The audio high quality is unbelievable. I wasn’t positive what to expect but they blew away the sennheiser high definition 205 that they changed.

Comprehensive and balanced sound, equally good as screens or general listening. . Wonderful all round audio, incredibly balanced and do almost nothing improper. They choose out a good deal of detail in your songs and i can see them getting equally fantastic in the studio or for common listening. A single of the best headphones i have. I have the senn hd 650, yamaha mt220, akg k55, philips shp9500 and several other £100+ sets and say the audio of the shure 840 pips them all. Bass is restricted and very perfectly managed. It is exact and whilst reaches superior depth, it would not fulfill bassheads imo. Mids are comprehensive and airy, have a slight warmth and devices audio incredibly normal. Treble has the same accuracy and is by no means vivid.

Great sound excellent and pretty snug to use when recording tracks – in a position to distinguish vocals obviously and various features.

Detailed sound and well-built. I can hear detail in my mixes i really couldn’t before. They take a bit of getting used to. I found i was putting too much bass on at first. I don’t think they’re exactly flat in response but that’s tough to find at this price. I often mix with these at night and i don’t have to tweak too much to get things to sound right on my monitors. They’re really well made and good value. The only criticism i have is it would have been useful if shure packaged a straight cable with these alongside the curly one and they’re a little bit heavy.

These were recommended by sound engineer dave rat and i bought them. These were recommended by sound engineer dave rat and i bought them on the strength of that. I’ve been using red5 audio headphones for tracking and there was lots of bleed, particularly the metronome click in the studio. The shures have fixed that problem. They came with a stretchy old-style phone cable that’s both useful and annoying. Useful obviously because of it’s stretchy length, but annoying because of its weight, so it bounces around a bit when you’re playing. I also use these for live mixing and they have good sound isolation for shaping your live sound coming out the mixer. I would buy them again, and may in fact do just that for my studio.

If you’re after a not so expensive pair of phones. If you’re after a not so expensive pair of phones that have the depth and range of more expensive sets then this is the model for you.

Sounded pretty good but the head band is very small. Bought these just for a casual set of headphones but had to return as the headband was very small, i had to ware them fully extended and were still tight.

Impressed at the price i got them for. . Got these at a ridiculously cheap price (£31 odd – not sure if it was a mistake) and bought on an impulse to sit alongside all my other sets of headphonesthese are quality cans and despite reports are quite comfortable. Sound is great with decent inputs – use mine with a smal m6 dac and hires or normal flac tracks and am impressed. Not particularly portable – you’d look like a cyberman on the train with these but perfect for home use – they are after all, studio monitors, not portable cans. Great at the prive i got them for but would have to audition more to see if worth full price.

I prefer them to my old audio technica m50s. Wonderful sounding headphones. Recently my audio technica m50s broke, so i was in the market for some new closed back headphones which would be suitable for mixing and mastering but which would be good for listening on the train as well. I personally prefer these to the m50s, i highly recommend thempros——-+easy to drive, you don’t really need a headphone amp. +relatively balanced sound, less hyped bass and treble then the m50s although i wouldn’t say they are completely flat sounding. Mid range is much more clear and it’s easier to pick apart the different instruments in a mix. The m50s got painful to wear after a pretty short time. These do get hot on your ears after a while like any other closed back headphones, but the pads feel very nice. +isolation is great, blocks out a lot of background noise.

Bought after a very good discount for a spare pair of headphones just to. Didn’t expect much for the price, was i in for a surprise?sound is a+mazing. Comparable to my old £300 pair. Bought after a very good discount for a spare pair of headphones just to have them as my new main drivers. Pros:nice crystal clear sound +++deep bass ++can go pretty loud with descent amp. +price +++cons:headband of hellits as soft as wood. Only reason my score is 1 star shy of perfect is the headband. In my opinion better than audiotechnika 50s.

If you are using them with a phone etc, recommend you use a dac to drive them.

Stunning detailed soundstage. If you want fantastic sound stage with incredible detail, these are a must. I currently own ath m50x, fostex t20rp, sennheiser hd650’s and for fun, sony mdr xb700’s. I’m not going to go off the scale with technical specs and details. To me it’s a bit like giving you the ingredients for a cake mix, then showing you what it should look like. Simply put, even compared to the m50x, these shure 840’s sound exciting and get your foot tapping and your head nodding like nothing else i’ve experienced from headphones. Very fast paced, and compared to the 440’s, these have solid, controlled sub-bass. Vocals, are a little warm due to the very forward mids. That’s what makes these baby’s sing with superb soundstage especially for a closed set of cans. Percussion in particular, hits you as if you’re actually at a live gig.

Creative HS-930i2 Premium Noise-isolating in-ear Headset : Comfortable and clear

Initially items 1st and aesthetically this is a definitely intelligent seeking bit of package, with a good velvet-appear carry bag. Soundwise, i was immediately amazed by the bass reaction (the deficiency of bass in most earphones remaining the solitary reason i use fully enclosed headphones when feasible). Sony MDR-XB500 Extra Bass Headphones – : An honest review.

It claims extra bass and thats what you get. I prefered this xb500 more than the sucessor xb600. As decribed, these headphones present a bass weighty response. That remaining said, the sound good quality is great for the cost, and the significant cusions give quite great noise isolation, provided there …
