Just what i was searching for. A person of my get the job done colleagues suggested these as they are at this time on amazon at a deal rate and i am glad i took her up on it. They are a small difficult to in shape at initially and the slight emotion that you get when you have drinking water in your ears takes some receiving utilized to but it did not acquire me prolonged to settle in with them. The external ambient sounds pretty much disappears leaving your tunes to be shipped with superb clarity, i can now listen to classical songs on the london tube – they are that effective. Only matter is that they now expose the shortcomings of encoding your mp3s at 192kbps. I’m blessed in that the premier smooth rubber plugs in good shape my ears well so it seems your good results with these truly will come down to the sizing of your ear-canal. A terrific purchase that helps make mp3 on community transportation definitely probable in london.

Excellent but in which is the foundation?. The sound typically is great but nearly anything with a bit of base and it truly is disappointing. Listening to a little bit of audioslave or drum and base they just you should not have the base reaction i hoped for. Never get me incorrect they are great headphones but definitely let down by the base reaction. I have tried using numerous mp3s, all at 192kbps and its the exact. Classical new music and most of the other audio i pay attention to sounds superb like you are there in individual when they ended up recording it. Updatesent them again as the response from the still left bud was acquiring worse, i wrote them a great observe outlining the problems and that the foundation was a little bit minimal for my liking they changed them in just days of me sending. Wonderful buyer service which is a rarity at present.

Great & really worth just about every penny. These earphones are great & definitely the ideal i have ever owned. They are snug to use & decrease the history sounds to a level these types of that you can hear to songs on a moveable cd player, and many others, in the exact space as an individual observing the tv with out any other sound intruding into your listening room. I have attempted other sound-decreasing earphones & they ended up a huge disappointment, but admittedly they have been more affordable in rate than the shure `phones. The shure e3c `phones are worth each individual penny. Here are the specifications for the Shure E3C – Headphones -Wideband MicroDriver Technology:

Having been perfectly happy with the shure e2c’s that i have experienced for the final three many years – i determined to improve to the e3c’s. Couldnt assistance but experience let down for the initially week as i continuously modified the tips to get the suitable match. They just didnt appear to be to have the wow issue that i felt when i initial bought the e2c’s. So i packaged them up and received them all set to return – questioning what to obtain instead. Then experienced a glance on shures web page about fitting (theres an instructional vid on there) and other buyers testimonials indicating use the yellow guidelines. So i unrapped them once again and tried out the yellow tips – followed the video clip and at past ‘wow’. Couldnt imagine the big difference – bass and treble extremely exact – audio actual does feel like its inside your head. Incredibly comprehensive no distortion. Would definatley advocate to anybody with tolerance.

These e3c headphones are really worth every single penny. I had been wanting for some much better headphones for a even though and resolved on these. As soon as i experienced justified paying out this volume on headphones i acquired them. It was absolutely a superior investment. The audio excellent is great and handles bass seriously very well. They are also excellent at blocking out any exterior noise so you can actually pay attention to songs. Good get and now effectively justified.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • The gold standard for MP3 Players
  • Accurate reproduction but a little clinical
  • Even better than my Etymotic ER6s

As a lot of some others have stated ‘you will need to get the suit right’. The build top quality is excellent even if they are a tiny bulkier than other individuals on the market place. In certain the thickness of the cable can be off putting. The jack is a small large also, but these points are out weighed by the amazing quality of audio. What shocked me on using them was the sounds you listen to that you miss on more affordable solutions. The breathing of the musicians, the shuffle of ft. You really feel you are in the thick of it. On the subject matter of fit, i discovered the yellow foam suggestions the greatest and most cozy, positive they really don’t seem ‘cool’ but if that’s what you want then seem somewhere else. If you get the healthy erroneous they will be not comfortable and the assortment will be severely lowered.

The finest ipod headphones – and they are only £50. I have experienced these for a 7 days and continue on to be shocked at just how superior they audio. The scary matter is that i can now hear depth in songs that my linn triaktiv technique isn’t going to reveallike some of the other reviewers, i struggled for a number of times to get the optimum blend of convenience and audio good quality from the provided earbuds – but persevere. With the mistaken earbud, these headphones can sound truly dreadful and you will surprise what all the fuss was about.

For the price these are decent, nothing more. I used them for around 9-11 months before getting fed up with the poor bass performance. Great sound quality in the higher ranges however. For this price it is the best high end sound, however i would advise the bose in-ear options for bass junkies. If you want both and can afford to shell out the shure se530’s are the best of both worlds and what i use now.

On the subject of fit, i found the yellow foam tips the best and most comfortable, sure they don’t look ‘cool’ but if that’s what you want then look elsewhere. If you get the fit wrong they will be uncomfortable and the range will be severely reduced.

The best earphones i’ve ever owned. There are several reasons why i think these earphones are so good. 1) the sound quality is excellent. There’s plenty of bass, even at low volumes. 2) they block out lots of background noise. Thankfully this means you don’t have to crank the volume right up to hear your music. (they come supplied with several sizes of rubber ear pieces so they’ll fit everyone. )3) they are incredibly comfortable. Unlike tradition in ear plastic earphones, these don’t hurt your ears after twenty minutes use. I’ve left them in for hours without suffering any discomfort.

Previous to these headphones i had a pair of e2c headphones. These broke after a year and a half of use and so i decided to get an upgrade from those. At the time, these wear £60 i think, and perhaps from amazon and now amazon don’t sell them, the price has increased a little. for the first 6 months of use i was perfectly happy with them, blocking out most of the background noise, but letting you hear a little bit (it’s a good thing that they let you hear a small amount – trust me). However, more recently i noticed they weren’t staying in my ear as well as they had been. No idea why, maybe they got a bit cold and shrunk or something. So i emailed shure to let them know, and a week later i got a whole new set of ear buds which is handy i guess along with 2 sets of flange ear pieces which was a strike of luck as you’re meant to pay for themso i put the flange’s on and now you really cannot hear much at all. Last night i was walking through the kitchen through to the hallway and noticed the phone light was blinking. I stood right next to it and leaned over.

If at first you dont succeed. I wasn’t going to bother to write a review for these earphones as i wasn’t all that impressed with them when i got them a week ago. I had read all the reviews and after deciding to spend a not inconsiderable amount of money on a set of earphones i finally chose the e3c’s. I had bought a pair of sennheiser cx300’s a little while ago and was very unimpressed with the sound (despite all the good reviews on amazon) so was a bit sceptical about getting another pair of `ear-canal’ phones. In the beginning my fears were justified as i couldn’t seem to get a great sound out of the shure’s, and i spent about a week trying all of the different ear pieces. For some reason i left the yellow foam ear pieces until last. I say for some reason, but what i mean is that they didn’t look very good and because they are foam and not moulded rubber they are going to need to be replaced at regular intervals so i thought they wouldn’t be much good. At this point i should mention that some people say that the e3c’s need to be `run in’ like high end speakers, and that the sound improves thereafter. This might well be true, but as i was already using the earphones for a week up to this point we can assume that they were `run in’. Also, if you didn’t know, the technology behind these earphones comes from the fact that shure make in-ear monitors for musicians for when they play live (oasis use shure monitors), and the e3c are a derivative of these professional monitors.

Completely soundproof and great sound. I have been using these headphones for the last 6 months in a busy office work environment as well as on the tube, trains and aircraft and they block out practically 100% of the outside noise. I was visiting friends in germany and was stood at a tram stop with 2 lanes of traffic each side and had my mp3 player on very low volume – i could see the cars streaming passed but could only hear my musicthe sound quality is excellent. They are so good that a few work colleagues have also bought these headphones for themselves. If you are looking for a new set of headphones by them now.

I have been the proud owner of a creative zen vision m for quite a while now. I have always been happy enough with the standard headphones supplied by creative (yes i am easily pleased) whilst on the move. I have a pair of sennheiser headphones for listening at home which i have always thought was as good as it gets. With a pocket full of birthday money i decided to read the reviews and invest in a decent pair of ‘phones. The shure e3c came out on top and with a miserable face i parted with more cash than i earned in 3 weeks when i first started work. The phones turned up the day before i went to france for 2 weeks. Having 2 delightful children i didn’t get to listen to anything for a couple of days. Wife and 2 kids in bed i decided to fire up the old faithful and plug in the new ‘cans’. Now i’m not sure whether it was the music or the cheap frech wine but i remember thinking wowmorning after and i remembered the stunning sound etc and put it down to the alcohol.

I was using a set of £15 headphones and was reasonably happy but i have recently upgraded to these and the difference is incrediblethe fit is perfect and the sound gives you an insight into your music that makes other headphones sound muffled. Well worth £50 go ahead and buy a set.

I listen to a lot of music on the move and decided to treat myself to a decent pair of headphones. My sony fontopias were finally falling apart so i decided on the e3cs based on the reviews. The sound is much more accurate than most consumer headphones which tend to be bass heavy. The mid and treble are really noticeably much clearer, the bass is present without being overpowering and overall you will hear a lot more detail in your music. The sound isolation is excellent which means that i can comfortably listen to classical music on the train where before the ambient noise would have prevented this. One issue that i’m surprised nobody seems to have picked up on is that these are low impedance (very sensitive) headphones and consequently if you plug them into a device like an ipod, which is designed for higher impedance headphones, there is a discernible low level background hum. I can’t plug them into my work computer at all because the electronics interfere with the e3cs to such an extent. It is possible to buy a shure ea650 volume controller which has the effect of increasing the impedance and cuts out the background hum. Apart from that these are amazing headphones which are very well built and sound wonderful.

Having been well pleased with the shure e2c’s that i’ve had for the last 3 years – i decided to upgrade to the e3c’s. Couldnt help but feel disappointed for the first week as i constantly changed the tips to get the right fit. They just didnt seem to have the wow factor that i felt when i first got the e2c’s. So i packaged them up and got them ready to return – wondering what to buy instead. Then had a look on shures website about fitting (theres an instructional vid on there) and other users reviews saying use the yellow tips. So i unrapped them again and tried the yellow tips – followed the video and at last ‘wow’. Couldnt believe the difference – bass and treble very accurate – music real does feel like its inside your head. Very detailed no distortion. Would definatley recommend to anyone with patience.

Even better than my etymotic er6s. Firstly, i bought these shure e3cs a few days ago when they were £59. 99, and at the time of writing this they are £79. 99 – hey that’s some price increase amazon. The reason i wanted some new in-ear ‘phones was because i had some etymotic er6s and thought they had died on me. It was, however, just the filters that were clogged, which means i can now compare them side-by-side as they are often on the same consideration lists. One criticism of the er6s is that due to their pure, flat frequency response, the base is slightly lacking. The e3cs, however, do not have that problem, with enough full, rich bass to satisfy all but the biggest bass-head. They also have a lower impedance, meaning they’re easier to drive from a portable player. My ipod rarely goes over half-volume now.

Without doubt a quality set of headphones, like others who have reviewed the e3c’s,getting the correct earbud fitted is imperative to fully enjoy the tonal qualities. Can’t reccommend them highly enough.

I’ve had just over a month to run in the headphones and put the headphones under heavy use. I’ve owned several pairs of in-ear headphones so i know the deal when it comes to high quality headphones. The e3c’s lived up to my expectations but didn’t blow me away. Hip-hop, r’n’b, and other genres sounded mediocure. The bass didn’t handle too well. I gave the headphones the ultimate test. The quality was extremely good and handled the high frequencies exceptionally well.

My mp3 tracks never sounded so good. I have had the ep3’s for 2 weeks now paid an amazing £49. This is great value (the original rrp was £125) as the sound clarity is remarkable for such a small in ear headphone. The secret as stated by many of the other users comments is to get a solid and tight seal in your ear canals. I tried all the included sleeves and the best by far are the foam sleeves which once in your ear expand to create a tight seal. The sound including the low frequencies then “come alive” to deliver a pure, clean and crisp sound and the cut out the outside world sounds. I use a mp3 archos202s player with tracks at 192 bit rate and listen to them on train to london plus 15 minute walk to/from office and it is like being in your own recording studio looking out on a near silent world which at first is a bit scary but once you get used to it is great and as other have commented you can hear musical instruments and sounds which you have not heard before even through a decent hi-fi system. The bass is clear but not false or overpowering as with other in ear headphones. As they say you get what you pay for and though you do need to spend a little time to get the right fit, you and your ears deserve the investment of these phones.

I bought these headphones for £49. 99 through amazon 2 weeks ago. I use them with an ipod video 30gb. All my music files are recorded in mp3 format at 320kbps. The build quality seems to be good. I like the winder spool to prevent tangles. The headphones need to have the correct size earpiece to create an airtight seal in your ear. Without this, they will give very poor bass response with a weak and “tinny” sound. With the correct size earpieces the sound quality is pretty good, but not as good as my full-size bose quietcomfort 2 or full-size sennheiser headphones.
