Coming from a set of monster cans, these have good seem quality even though i wouldn’t fall for the internet marketing about the bass. Blocks most of the london underground out as well.

Excellent high-quality and i didn’t feel id like the touch bar on the aspect for quantity but it is incredibly quick to use.

Recommended for cell listening. It was simple to connect as soon as i’d eliminated my cellphone situation. I experienced to hold the back of the mobile phone straight in opposition to the earpiece for the nfc to do the job. I also managed to join them to my ps3 via bluetooth. 5mm cable is uncomplicated to connect and can be utilised to listen with out making use of the battery but it is really rather shorter and so it is easy to pull on it unintentionally if you stand up or move. You may possibly want to purchase an extension cable. There is no mains charger supplied. Except if you previously have a usb mains adaptor you want to charge by connecting to a personal computer through the supplied usb cable. Although charging via a personal computer all personal computer appears are performed by the headphones. The sound is extremely smooth and complete. Bass is pretty punchy but not overly so. In certain they seem just as very good played from my cellular phone as from my laptop computer. I think that owning their personal battery usually means there is more than enough ability to give a great seem no matter what they’re linked to. Padding gives very good seem isolation against qualifications noises.

Actually the most effective headphones ever, so pricey but so really worth it.

Sennheiser URBANITE XL Wireless Headphone : These are in constant use in our house. The sound quality is brilliant. I use them for listening to music while doing jobs round the house and the other half nicks them in the evening for his pc gaming. They are comfortable to wear and easy to use. It took me a while to get used to the idea of the volume control on the headphone itself, but once i got the hang of it i was fine. It connected in to my jawbone speakers and my nexus tablet without a problem. Not the cheapest on the market but well worth the buy in my (our) opinion.

Please note these headphones sit ‘on the ear’, and don’t fully enclose your ears, as do ‘around-ear’ models.

Great sound for a great price. The sennheiser urbanite xl are great headphones but do have some flaws. I’ve been using them for about 4 months now on a daily basis. The goodthe sound quality is really good. I listen to most different types of music and it handles all of them well especially music that is quite bassy like drum & bass. When using them during a phone call people can hear me clearly and i hear them well. Although they’re not noise cancelling they are pretty good at blocking out the surrounding noise. The bluetooth works well although i have experienced the occasional dropout which only lasts a second or so. I use them quite a lot and only have to charge them once in a blue moon.

Great headphones with astounding battery life. . The headphones themselves are excellent – the battery life is extraordinarily good. I was aprehensive about bluetooth headphones because i thought they’d be a pain and always need charging. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by these. The only issue i’ve had is that the ear pads sometimes fall off. They’re pretty fiddly to get back on and obviously if you’re on the move this gets very frustrating. Ear pads themselves are a good size and really are over ear. They’re soft memory foam pads which don’t deform over time. They feel very sturdy and durable. The folding mechanism isn’t flimsy like some – beats particularly.

These headphones are no doubt good quality. But in actual fact it depends on what you looking for in a pair of headphones. If you wont heavy thumping bass and lots of volume,,,,,stay clear of these. The bass is quite lacking (which is surprising given the write up by sennheiser) and they dont go any louder than everyday headphones. If you want detail and clarity then these are for youbut honestly. . The sumvision psyc wave zx are loud and bass heavy but clear enough to hear detail and they are only £25i never expected a pair of £25 headphones to be better than a pair of headphones such as these originally priced at £249. I hope this helps anyone who was wanting to know about bass and volume etc.

This review is for the sennheiser urbanite xl wireless headphones bought for £124. 97 in may 2017 with my own money. I clarify only to avoid confusion with the much cheaper urbanite xl non-wireless which are half the list price but visually identical. Best headphones i’ve ever had are an old set of sennheiser hd570s which are still going after many years due to sennheiser’s excellent parts supply service – this gives me confidence that these will also continue to be supported after more than a decadethey are beautifully constructed but not gaudy, the headband is finished in a denim-type material with a lightly padded underside and appears very durable. A lot of attention has been paid to the hinges (a weak point on so many headsets) which are constructed from aluminium and also seem to be pretty bombproof. I was initially concerned by the size of the ear pads – my preference has always been the ‘over ear’ type as these are described but the recess appears more in line with ‘on ear’ style. Once worn though it is apparent the pads do fit over the ear but in a way that also provides a good seal – combined with a closed back this allows for impressive bass. The sound for me is fantastic and exactly what i was looking for – good open soundstage and a well balanced sound. There is plenty of bass but it is not overpowering when the mids and highs are also well represented.

It’s a good solid bt headphone but. Bought with my own cash money. These have been around for a while so when the price recently dropped i thought i’d give them a whirl. I’ve had a lot of sennheiser headphones (including both the wired urbanite & urbanite xl) and a lot of bt headphones (check my many other reviews) so there was no need to check these out but i was curious. Unfortunately it seems the somewhat middling reviews have it right. On the plus side – it’s a good solid (if a bit chunky) decent-sounding bt headphone with great battery life and sennheisers usual fantastic build quality. Now more moderately priced @ £127 (not so at rrp of £249). On the bad side – despite having xl in the title the ear cups of the urbanite wireless are small and circular which while comfortable for short periods tend to ache more and more over time. Couple this with the ability of said ear pads to come off easily – even with minimal handling – and the strangely placed touch panel – resulting in any non surgical adjustment of the headphones pausing or skipping tracks and the experience is akin to handling a delicate piece of china – not a headphone designed supposedly for the rough and tough world of the modern urban commuter. And you will need to adjust these headphones – a lot.

I’ve been searching for a pair of decent wireless headphones for a while; i like my music, and like good quality kit, without at the fancy add-ons, but i couldn’t justify the price of the bose. 35’s, so when i saw the urbanites at £127, i couldn’t resist, and i must say that i am absolutely delighted. I judge sound quality by what happens when there is no sound, and with these, there is just that – absolute silence. No hiss, no buzz, just perfect silence. I’ve connected both to a denon home system and ipod nano, and found sound quality to be perfect regardless. Connection is perfect despite where i carry my ipod. Connection fails at about 15m in direct line of contact and as soon as i move into the next room, but that’s no issue for me. They are comfortable for about 2 hours, but again, that’s more than enough for me. By then, i need human contact and, though these are not sold as noise-cancelling, they do a good job, allowing just an awareness of what’s happening around you.

Very comfortable and noise isolating. The adjustments on the side keep moving from time to time though.

Wow=====they are a lovely set of headphone and the sound is amazing. I have a pair of vmoda m100’s too and compared them side by side. Both are quality headphones. Build======they are beautiful looking. I have to admit they are more masculine looking than some. These are built survive falls, kicks and sitting on. The hinges are metal and are built for military purposes. Ok maybe not but i think they could be. I prefer the build of these.

Shame about the touch controls. . These were (i have returned them – not purchased through amazon as at the time they were £50 cheaper elsewhere) a lovely pair of cans in terms of sound and build quality. I predominently listen to “urban” music – hip hop, soul, funk, drum & bass, house, indie and these are ideal for this. I have tried the plantronics backbeat pro and the sony £150 bt (the ones with the bass boost) and have had an hour with the beats studio over ears. The sound clarity and quality of these is much better/preferable than all of them. However the touch controls are very annoying. It is difficult to put them on/take them off without pausing or playing accidentally or worse which i did half a dozen times in a week redial the last called person. I think my local chinese takeaway doesn’t like these headphones for that reason toothey are also a little bit large, which didn’t really bother me but it might some, though they are not heavy. In summary awesome sounding for urban music but the touch controls provide some frustrations.

Great value bluetooth headphones. Very comfortable and light weight for fully enclosed headphones. Touch pad volume control works well, but tapping to select tracks and phone functions is difficult to operate consistently. Perhaps it will get easier with practice.
