Rs185 as opposed with the discontinued rs220. Earlier i experienced the discontinued rs220 design, which nonetheless i only received two and a 50 % a long time use out of. In this review i assess the rs185 with the rs220. About me – i’m in my late sixties and have some hearing decline from otosclerosis, but not profound. Nonetheless the amounts i need to have to watch television and pay attention to the radio are a great deal much too high for others to endure. I have employed headphones for the past 10 many years. I should really consider i watch tv set or listen to the radio a great 8 several hours or more a day. There is a rs195 model designed for hearing decline, but it’s additional high-priced and i made a decision i failed to have to have it. I have a samsung television with a sky box set and i hook up a laptop computer to the tv with an hdmi cable i use to browse each the net and enjoy streamed information as effectively as films.

No connection or adapter for my jack plug. No link or adapter for my jack plug, very small cables and instructions hazy. I will invest in a different product.

Appreciate them suit awesome and get the job done very properly with no back ground interference.

Most effective sound i’ve ever experienced from cans, and i’ve been applying both wired and wireless for a long time. The modulation is fantastic and it is hardly ever vital to adjust the volume for various programmes/sources, possibly the odd older recording the place sound techniques had been no to toady’s requirements, but the only marginally. Even the adverts are stored to a sensible stage. Overly complex to established up, and suffers from the usual sennheiser fault of grouping adjustment buttons also shut with each other, as a result the loss of a single star. The higher than assessment is for the product, not the price, which at £200+ i contemplate to be as well large.

I had proposed these to a person else as i really like mine. He is incredibly happy with them too.

Comparison between 175 and 185 headphones. This review includes comment on the sonic performance of the sennheiser rs 185 headphones but is primarily a practical comparison between the rs 185 model and the rs 175. I wanted to buy a pair of wireless headphones for listening to music and did quite a lot of online research on the sennheiser rs 175 and the rs 185. I needed the range of an rf headset rather than bluetooth, and my interest was only in musical listening, not tv. The 175 box says “tv/hi-fi headphones” while the 185 box says “hi-fi headphones”. I guess that just about sums it up but i wanted to try both models, particularly from the point of view of ‘isolation’ from the outside world. I was fortunate to find a retailer (thank you audio-t portsmouth) who would allow me to listen to both models at home, so here are my comparative comments. The headsets and base stations for both models are broadly similar in design, but there are a number of important differences. Comfort & designthe 175 headset is slightly heavier than the 185 (332 gms versus 312 gms). The overall ‘feel’ of the headphones is excellent.

Having recently purchased the rs185 and additional 175 headphones, i thought my experience might be of use to others. I bought the 185s because i have tinnitus and hearing loss (worse in one ear) and liked the feature that lets you independently adjust the volume of each ear, and the auto-level adjust so that sudden loud noises (eg loud applause) are subdued. I also want to be able to listen to the tv via the headphones while watching with my partner. When i got the headphones it took a while to charge the batteries (had to be left charging overnight). I connected the base unit to the tv by the supplied optical cable and to a cd walkman via an rca to 3. 5mm jack cable (not supplied but cheap to buy on amazon). There is a switch on the back of the base unit that allows you to switch between the two sources so i can use the headphones for listening to my cds or the tv. The sound quality and range are both very good and i think this is reflected in the majority of reviews. I find the volume and mute controls on the side easy to use.

Only thing i would say is that it gets interference with 2ghz wifi in my house.

Best sound i’ve ever had from cans, and i’ve been using both wired and wireless for years. The modulation is excellent and it is rarely necessary to adjust the volume for different programmes/sources, maybe the odd older recording where sound techniques were no to toady’s standards, but the only marginally. Even the adverts are kept to a reasonable level. Overly complicated to set up, and suffers from the usual sennheiser fault of grouping adjustment buttons too close together, hence the loss of one star. The above review is for the product, not the price, which at £200+ i consider to be too high.

Easy to set up, phones very comfortable to wear for long periods. Sound is very good, but expected better for the price. Volume could be a tad louder for my liking and a bit of distortion when turned up high. Also sound cuts in and out when in the next room, less than 20 feet away which is disappointing. All things considered a decent product and happy with them so far.

Beware, only operates on crowded 2. 4ghz band wifi. Extremely good headphones and fantastic sound quality. Almost up there with my hd650s, but it is fundamentally floored due to it running on the crowded 2. 4ghz band wifi with no 5ghz option – i believe it should have this at this price point. To put my environmental conditions in to context, i tried using these primarily for tv/film/music in conjunction with my smart tv in a 3mx3m room. In that room consisted of the following wifi devices that were on at the same time: asus n66u router, smart tv, xbox one and an ipad. I tried moving the transmitter to various locations and even had the router and transmitter at opposite ends of the room, but i’d still get the odd drop-outs, which would ruin it. These headphones have great sound quality as mentioned, but this wifi issue is certainly something you will want to be wary of. I’d imagine in ideal conditions with very little interference, they’ll work absolutely fine. Ended up getting the sony mdr-hw700ds in the end which does have 5ghz and works perfectly with no drop outs.

Audiophile headphones without the wire. I’ve been looking for some decent quality wireless headphones to use with my home hi-fi for a while now – i discovered the joys of using wireless bluetooth phones with my laptop at work some years ago, but wanted to get something higher quality to use at home with my collection of lossless cd rips and with movie blurays. After an abortive attempt to use some of bose’s high-end phones with a cheap bluetooth transmitter, i decided to give these sennheisers a try, and i am very glad i did. I’d previously given the earlier rs180 model a demo, and was disappointed by how cheap and plastic-y it felt. These are much better – more solid and a lot less flimsy. The construction is good – each earpad can be removed to reveal a slot for a single aaa rechargeable battery, and this means the (velour) earpads can be easily replaced. They are pretty comfortable in use – not quite as “forget you are wearing them” as the boses, partly due to weighing twice as much, and partly due to the slightly scratchy velour pads and the tight headband – i expect both these to improve with use. But the most important thing about these phones is how they sound. I’ve used numerous pairs of high-end headphones over the years, up to and including some very nice b&w p7s – these sound better than anything else i’ve heard. The sound is typical sennheiser – very neutral, but with a slight warmth to the upper bass.

Sony MDR-XB500 Extra Bass Headphones – : An honest review.

It claims extra bass and thats what you get. I prefered this xb500 more than the sucessor xb600. As decribed, these headphones present a bass weighty response. That remaining said, the sound good quality is great for the cost, and the significant cusions give quite great noise isolation, provided there …
