Sena 10U Motorcycle tooth Communication System, Frustrating to set up and pair

Good little bit of kit, definitely apparent for cellphone phone calls and the tomtom, we have not made use of it as an intercom. Will help that it really is manufactured exclusively for my husband’s crash helmet so it can be quick to in shape and incredibly neat at the time equipped.

Fitting i into the shoei air gt seriously was so uncomplicated it was a enjoyment to do it frankly. As soon as you open up the box you can see why this intercom is the rate it is. It seriously is oozing top quality. Boxed properly, the guidelines are not the most effective but the device is so properly thought out that it is effortless and a pleasure to set up. Fitting i into the shoei air gt definitely was so effortless it was a pleasure to do it frankly, it actually matches like it must generally have been in there. The moment you fireplace it up and toggle through the different features you may would like you would acquired one months back. It is effortless to convey up new music, dial any quantity on your mobile phone you can dictate into the nearly invisible mic. And run your sat nav straight into it, constantly operates thoroughly seamlessly for me with my apple iphone 6s which i have mounted tom tom program on to double up as a sat nav, it’s perfect. My only regret is not purchasing the helmet and intercom from day onethey are pricey sure, but you can get this just after and you may have crystal crystal clear , easy intercom which is invisibly sits in your helmet. It is really in fact a far superior than i might imagined it would beit definitely is a situation of you get what you fork out for, you will not be dissapointed, have confidence in me.

Maybe just it just isn’t too excellent when connected to other low cost generic headsets. Sena 10u motorcycle bluetooth communication system with handlebar remote for shoei neoteci have the shoei neotec edition, there are very number of negatives to this set up, maybe just it just isn’t much too good when connected to other inexpensive generic headsets. Down load the cellphone app for additional features.

High priced but value the dollars as it does not affect the quietness of the helmet.

Superior microphone, suitable speakers, very poor controller. . Quick to suit and at ease in the helmet. The audio level could do with being a bit higher, but i can ordinarily listen to podcasts at 70mph and the cellphone operation works okay. I haven’t applied it as an intercom. The controller which comes with it is inadequate – it interferes with use of the clutch, and the ‘buttons’ are just tiny studs which are tricky to find with gloves. I usually use the negligible controller which is equipped to the helmet (isn’t going to give entire operation) and i’m replacing it with the wrist controller which i have experienced to buy separately.

Sena 10U Motorcycle Bluetooth Communication System with Handlebar Remote for Shoei Neotec : Really good product, amazing sound quality, the handle bar remote works well, the front and rear buttons could do with being bigger though for use with gloves, connectivity is very good, the installation is fairly straightforward, and fits well into the shoei neotec.

One of the best sounding intercoms i’ve had. One of the best sounding intercoms i’ve had, bit tricky to install but once in works well. I’ve not really found much use for the remote apart from changing track when listening to music as the volume up and down on the helmet can answer and end calls and play pause music once you learn how to. A much neater looking unit had a few people comment on the system, works really well with a pillion not tried with other riders yet but i’m sure it will work well.

I would recommend taking all the lining out as this will allow. I bought this to replace a cardo sho-1 that had died (twice) in its 2 year lifetime. I did the requisite research but was still apprehensive when ordering. I also ordered the shoei gt air fitment. Delivery was quick from amazon. Fitting to the shoei was relatively simple. I would recommend taking all the lining out as this will allow you to see what you’re doing and make sure you’re in a well lit room – i even wore a head torch as well so that light was thrown into the whole helmet. No cutting or taping was required and the whole process of fitting took about 15 mins (i took my time). All the linings go back with a bit of trail and error. The only annoying bit was getting the headphones into the recesses but they got there in the end.

Good microphone, adequate speakers, poor controller. . Easy to fit and comfortable in the helmet. The sound level could do with being a bit higher, but i can usually hear podcasts at 70mph and the phone functionality works ok. I haven’t used it as an intercom. The controller which comes with it is poor – it interferes with use of the clutch, and the “buttons” are just tiny studs which are difficult to find with gloves. I normally use the minimal controller which is fitted to the helmet (doesn’t give full functionality) and i’m replacing it with the wrist controller which i’ve had to buy separately.

Sena 10u for shoei neotec helmet. All parts fit perfectly to helmet (shoei neotec). Takes a bit of time to fit and some of the padding has to come off to get it installed correctly but instructions are supplied and are very clear making the task fairly straight forward. The microphone does stick out a bit but only really gets in the way if your cheeks are overly “plump”. Unit is very discreet within helmet, with the only visible parts being the control unit with charging port which sits at rear base of helmet and microphone. Works like a dream, sound quality is good and volume controls in helmet allow volume to be adjusted on the move without the need for the remote control that is supplied with it. Because of the bike i have (r1200rt) the remote would interfere with controls for the bike, this however has not caused me any problems and i’ve been able to listen to music comfortably. Thoroughly recommended purchase.

A great headset but you’re paying more for fm radio that doesn’t work & fiddly remote control that could be considered dangerous. I’ve had a lot of motorcycle bluetooth headsets and first thing to say is the audio quality of this headset is superb – the best i’ve ever used and loud. The pairing and phone audio is also great. It even has a phone app for settings. The fit into the helmet is very neat, but as the unit is so integrated into the helmet you have charge it while it is in the helmet (other units usually detach for charging)i haven’t used it as a pillion intercom yet, i’ll update here when i have. But if you’re buying this to listen to fm radio – as that’s advertised and it has a separate fm aerial, a not unreasonable expectation – you’re likely to be disappointed. I contacted the manufacturers and they couldn’t really be bothered. Amazon were great they sent me out a replacement but that was no better – the fm radio is (at least in my area) useless; i expected better from such an expensive headset, as i’ve had cheaper versions from other manufacturers that had better fm radio performance. As the unit can be firmware upgraded and perhaps they’ll sort this out eventually, but they certainly didn’t seem very interested when i asked on the sena support forum for advice so perhaps that’s wishful thinking. The second problem is the handlebar mounted remote – clearly designed by someone who has never ridden a bike and certainly never worn motorcycle gloves – do not be tempted to use it on your left hand grip as advised – it will obstruct the controls and is likely to move and foul the clutch lever.

[sorry – i know it comes under the shoei neotec helmet review but it is for a schuberth c3pro]after initial reservations on this unit i am actually liking the ability to be able to communicate with my pillion as we travel. Firstly, i bought two of these units to fit the schuberth c3 pro helmets, that myself and good lady just recently bought. They take a bit of tweaking to get right. The speakers are best packed out with foam pads that are supplied, so that they are closer to your ears. I don’t find them the best speakers in the world but they serve a purpose. My wife had serious problems with the rear of the helmet digging into the back of her head which was a bit worrying. At first, after reading reviews on the sena unit sticking too far out from some riders helmets, we thought it was the sena which was fouling her head. Eventually we found that it was the schuberth bluetooth antenna that was sticking out from underneath the lining. The unit on my helmet fits fine. The only negative i would say i have is that the sound balance between the left and right speakers is not perfect. I can hear the right speaker easier than the left. That may mean a bit more tweaking for the left speaker.

A great intercom, univeral intercom aspect is flawed though. . Bought as i now have a bike with even less underseat storage than my previous one so the autocom is now history. Have been sceptical of bluetooth comms previously as my autocom worked so well and was ultimately reliable over many years of use. They’ve always struck me as somewhat fragile and exposed with reliance on batteries. ; connectivity between units mean all in your riding group require the same brand and the group size is limited. Favouring autocom for being bike powered and connected to a pmr radio enabling large groups of riders over decent range when combined with an external antenna. Still getting used to my new 10u but i’m impressed so far. The fact that it’s all enclosed within the shell of the helmet removes the fragility issue as well as fears on extra wind noise and water ingress into the electronics. I purchased a sena sr10 which works well with my pmr radio so now i have the best of both worlds should i need it. My regular touring buddy was so impressed that he bought a 10u as well so we now have great comms over line of sight for about 1/2 to 3/4 mile.

Frustrating to set up and pair. Doesn’t pair reliably with another 10u unit. Instructions imprecise and try to do too much with pictures when a proper written explanation would be more helpful. Buttons don’t seem to do what they are supposed to at times and feedback is minimal making it hard to troubleshoot. Fits into helmet neatly and pretty good range when paired with another rider.

Brilliant bit of kit, really clear for phone calls and the tomtom, we haven’t used it as an intercom. Helps that it’s made specifically for my husband’s crash helmet so it’s easy to fit and very neat once fitted.

Great product i didn’t find setting up difficult at all in fact very simple. The product is of good quality and way better than my bt midland which kept breaking, handle bar attachment works fine but you have to get use to it being close to the horn. Other than that 10 outta 10 really loud i love it.
