You buy cheap and you buy twice this thing rocks. First thing is i didn’t buy this because it had hestons name on it i researched the boring stuff and this was just what i wanted. Second of all my misses went ape when i told her how much it cost until she used it. It’s so easy to use and it’s so easy to clean the digital dial selects the speed and you just bung your fruit and veg in. You do have to change the blade for soft fruit which takes all of 5 seconds. I done a carrot and ginger drink and could not believe how dry the pulp was and how much juice came out. You don’t need a million apples to get a drink which is one of the things i read. I did 1 apple 2 celery sticks and a little ginger and got a 330ml drink which was lovely. We always buy a juice drink when we go to town which costs us nearly £7 so when you weigh up the cost of doing your own this thing will pay for itself in no time. You do need to peel some stuff but it is all explained in the leaflet.
Seems to be a quality piece of kit and works great. This is the first juicer i have ever bought or used, so this review is probably best suited those in a similar situation. The juicer seems to be a quality piece of kit – well thought out and well made with a powerful engine and quality blades. I threw a couple of apple 1/4’s, carrots and celery in the chute and presto – this thing ground them, seriously ground them and made a really nice cup of juice in seconds. It tasted way better than what you buy at the store. Spending the extra bit on this juicer seems to have been wise, considering what it has to do with what you throw in it. Now that i have it, i am just wondering why i didn’t buy one before now. Just a newbie review for those thinking about taking the plunge.
Not for juicing leafy greens. Bought this as a replacement for my first juicer, and it certainly is fast, and the wide chute makes for very easy feeding. The ability to dial the speed up and down gradually is a bonus, and there are helpful indications as to what to juice at which speed – eg, citrus, apple and so on. Easy to put together, take apart and clean. But: the pulp was very wet, and there were many whole chunks of greens in it – it was not able to handle leafy greens well at all, despite bundling them up and sandwiching them between other, harder veg or fruit. ( also discovered that although it has some clever advertising associating it with heston blumenthal, it is actually made by breville australia. Had to return it as it just could not do what i needed, but amazon make it so easy to do that, it was no problem. Just had this product for a week after previously owning a cheaper 800 watt product from a different manufacturer. Where to start with the comparisons. This unit is soooooooooooo quiet, the other one i had sounded like a f1 car speeding past ye every time ye stuck a cucumber down the shoot2. Assembling the unit is very easy, just a couple of clicks and your good to go. The speed settings are excellent. Setting 1 for things like spinach, kale etc, up to setting 5 for hard veg. Cleaning is a breeze, the unit i had before was a nightmare to clean, and the motor housing ended up wet. With this, you basically give the shoot housing a quick rinse, rinse out your pulp bin, and give the grinder thing a good wee scrubthe amount of people on here complaining about cleaning this unit. I have been juicing daily for the past year and the previous unit i had was replaced 3 times as the motor would burn out. . This unit comes with a 5 year motor warranty, so no complaints there. What do i juice??once per day, i juice the following ingredients:250g bag of spinach x2 (£1. 09 each bag from lidl)whole cucumber x2 (45p from lidl)carrots x4 (1kg bag for around 80p)whole celery head x1 (50p)8 apples (£1. 30)1 lemon (bag of 3 for around 80p)1 thumb size cut of fresh ginger (50p bag from aldi)once all the above items are juiced. 5litres of juice, which you can store in sealed 500ml cups (have a look in poundland or sports direct for cheap cups) and stored in the fridge (for around 24 hours)doing this keeps the juice fresh, and still full with nutrients. You could also just juice as when you need to. But for me that was a total pain in the bum as you would have been setting the unit up, juicing, washing etc.

Heston blumenthal sage nutri juicer plus: premium price but worth paying the extra for the high quality. This heston blumenthal sage nutri juicer plus is the mid-range model, which we chose to replace a cheaper juicer (a different brand) which packed up with a screeching sound and smell of burning plastic after two years’ service. Though the number of parts in the box may look intimidating to a technophobic buyer, in fact the machine is very easy to assemble. It has the look and feel of very high quality with a cool stainless steel case, but has a large footprint and is quite tall so you’ll need plenty of kitchen worktop space: it’s too tall to fit on the part of the worktop where our old juicer lived as it’s taller than the gap between the worktop and the wall cupboards, so we had to find a new place for it in a different part of the kitchen. The juicer comes with two different blades: one for softer veg/fruit and the other for tougher/harder. Whichever blade you’re using, the juice-yield is very high and the resultant pulp consequently minimal and very dry, in sharp contrast to our previous juicer. Like all juicers it’s not particularly quiet in use, but it is quick and efficient. You can vary the motor speed, and generally the lowest speed you can get away with is recommended for the best results. The juice is fabulousa good rule of thumb is to not leave the juicer to wash up later, as the bits of pulp will dry and harden on the blades. Dismantle and wash-up as soon as you finish juicing, and use the shaped brush which is thoughtfully included by the manufacturer to clean the parts.
