By far and away the best earbuds i’ve ever owned. Well, what can i say about these. . By far and away the best earbuds i’ve ever owned. I needed a new pair of earbuds, so i did what most people do, and i googled ‘best earbuds under £xx’. These beauties come in at under £50 and have won so many best in tests you’d swear that rockjaw were paying the reviewers off. They come with 3 sets of interchangeable filters – one for bass (black), one for a more natural flat sound (silver), and one for monitor/reference quality sound (champagne). I use the champagne filters and they sound absolutely fantastic on anything ranging from paulo nutini to the progidy. They handle sharp vocals with just as much ease as big bass drops.

Great sound nearly not fit for function. . It was possibly these or the soundmagic e10s. I chose these due to the fact they’re a british firm and have gained wonderful evaluations and awards. However, these had been just about a squander of revenue. Professionals:–for considerably less than £40, the sound is great – very clear from bass-mid-treble. –the a few filters are influenced. Silver for bass, gold for neutral/warm and black for treble. I alter involving silver (for health club) & gold (just to mix factors up and they sound quite all-natural).

Comments from buyers

“Amazing quality for the price., Great Earphones and cracking customer service, Finally got there. Great Sound almost not fit for purpose.”

These have awesome sound high-quality, and are worth every single penny.

I would give it five stars for sound excellent and. I would give it 5 stars for sound good quality and fit but day two of applying it, just one of the drivers along with ear bud fell off on it is possess (was loosely threaded) and has supplied me the paranoia of checking the thread each single time i intend to use it.

Fantastic shopper serviced exceeded only by solution good quality. The obtain started with by far the very best customer service i have ever obtained. The headphones arrived the incredibly upcoming day, and every little thing about them oozed excellent – exceptional complete, the make high-quality was fantastic, and the tiny information were being just appropriate. As to the sound good quality – wow. Each individual of the filters has its very own temperament, ranging from the bassy v of the silver filter to the pl50-esque reference filter. Individually, i like the neutral filter for the most element, which has finesse and control in spades. I had to continue to keep examining the rate, simply because these are a steal. About the a long time i have owned a bunch of headphones – meelec s6p, soundmagic pl50 and pl30, motorheadphones overkill, and etymotic er6i – and i desire the sound out of these to all of them. Indeed, the isolation isn’t really as superior as the er6i, and arguably that also has a extra detailed (just about analytical) reaction. But they also cost me a few occasions as considerably a decade ago, and i discover them around-analytical in phrases of the sound (clearly, which is a individual choice point, but i like a warm mid sound over analytical any day) and they are plasticy and flimsy.

Bought as a present for my teenage son, who is very choosy about headphones, these fit the bill perfectly. He particularly likes the way in which they can be customized to make the best fit.

These headphones have fine sound quality for the price and the sound filters are an added bonus. After getting used to them they are comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The packaging is good and it’s easy to keep the filters and different sized rubber ear tips organized. Unlike cheaper headphones these feel like quality headphones. I’ve taken a star off because these have developed a loose connection in the cable witch occasionally results in loud pops and crackles. Luckily the problem isn’t bad enough for it to be worth replacing these headphones so i’ll be using them for a long time to come.

The actual earphones are quite good, silver being the only decent sounding filters in terms of the bass. I chose this for it’s quality of sound and mic function. The ability to choose your different tuning filters by screwing and unscrewing the earpiece often comes unscrewed and falls off. I have now had this happened many times but luckily the earpiece has fallen into my bag. However, this time the earpiece has gone missing in the streets and now i am missing an earpiece (bud and silver filter). I can no longer use the silver filter and it was the only filter which i enjoyed using.

Stylish- love the ebony wood/metal contrast, solid but not heavy. Choice of three earbuds to ensure optimum fit. I mostly listen to voice dab radio and delivery is clear across all vocal ranges without having to wind up the volume which saves battery life – very important when constantly on the move. Efficient customer service offered by joe.

Great earphones and great customer service. I bought these for my music-loving 16 year-old son and he is absolutely delighted with them. He says that they are by far the best in-ear phones that he has ever used. Superb quality for the price. But i also wanted to write about the amazing service offered when one phone stopped working 6 months after we got them. More in hope than expectation we found an email address on their website and wrote asking for advice. The response from their representative was immediate, polite and helpful, stressing that it was most unusual and asked us post them back to their uk office in derbyshire for testing. We did this and within days received a mail saying that they would have to be replaced then a couple of days later a new set arrived. Thanks for a great product and great service.

But i do have a very good setup on which to base this review. So i’m not a mega audiophile, but i do have a very good setup on which to base this review, valve amps and pro-audio sources. Ignore anyone that says otherwise. Out of the box they are ‘ok’, but run them in for 20+ hours and then come back and listen to them. I have two pairs, so was able to test out-of-box vers run-in (30 hours), trust me, run them in at about 60% volume. You need to spend some time before you will get the best out of them. Try out all the filters, i settled on the champagne ones, simply as i prefer a balanced sound. Next try the ear buds and find the one that works for you, the correct positioning makes a huge difference to the sound and also comfort factor.

Great earphones for the price. Sound quality is almost as good as earphones which cost over 100 pounds.

Unbeatable at over double the price. I had a pair of thinksound ms01s that i thought were a revelation. However after less than 6 months there is a cable fault and the right earpiece keeps cutting out. Not being able to justify spending that sort of money again, i kept reading great reviews for these so decided to invest. They come with three filters and most reviews recommend the gold ones – however for me the standard silver ones teamed with comply eartips (to cope with my narrow ear canals) are a whole new revelation. Better than the £115 thinksound product in my view. Shoudl definitely be on any wishlist – just hope that they last longer than the other brand.

Great design and well packaged although having read rave reviews. Great design and well packaged although having read rave reviews i was expecting more from these although i guess the sound quality is pretty good for the price point. The main issue i have with them is the fact that no matter which of the 3 sizes buds i use they don’t comfortably stay in my ears and tend to slip out easily. The cable is relatively tangle free although still tangles if not out away carefully.

Alpha genus – your ears will thank you. . Anyone looking for great sound without spending a fortune should put these beauties at the top of their shopping list. Its easy to be seduced by the look and feel of these iems – the build quality is frankly unbelievable at this price point. But lets face-it – we’re here for the sound quality. The alpha genus come with three sets of easily interchangeable tuning filters which allow you to tailor the basic tone response to your preference/device without needing to endlessly tweak the equaliser. The standard filters fitted are silver/aluminium colour and they deliver strong bass-led, slightly scooped tone. They work well for a lot of rock/dance/urban music but the mids are not prominent. I found the black reference filters are good for listening to speech or video editing – detailed and flat response. Then there are the gold neutral filters. Balanced, detailed mids and highs, warm, full, bass. Needed to make sure the earphones were in properly otherwise the bass falls off, but once secured, absolute bliss over a wide range of music. What struck me about the gold filters was what a comfortable experience they were for long listening periods. Sound isolation is good and the inline mic gets rave reviews from friends who say the clarity of my voice on calls has improved since buying the alpha’s. Cable noise is the only slight weakness and can be mostly sorted by using the shirt-clip to reduce friction transfer to the earbuds.

Already owning several sets of in ear headphones of many makes and from £9-150 i couldn’t resist buying these that came highly recommended. Well these are easily the best of my collection. You would be nuts not to try them out saving £100+ too.
