This is one of the most novel looking action cameras i’ve ever used and the video quality is astounding from such a tiny camerathe camera comes with a silicone pendant case, a metal carabiner, a micro usb charging cable, an 8gb micro sd card and a quick start guide. (for the full users guide, go to polaroidcube dot com / support)the first thing you’ll notice is how unbelievably tiny this camera really is. On the front of the cube is the lens. On top is the multifunction button, the wifi button and the status indicator light. On the back is a magnetic cover that protects the sd card slot and the micro usb charging port. On the bottom is a surprisingly powerful magnet that allows you to secure the camera to a metal table, object or tripod so hands-free recording. (in the packaging is a small plastic pyramid with a magnetic base that the camera is sitting on. Don’t discard it because it makes a stable little stand for your camera.

Good camera and not too far from ‘great’. Back in the days of my earlier reviews, the whole point of my writing was to explore alternatives to the more expensive products. Basically, i loved reviewing the knock-offs. The cheaper versions of mp3 players, smartphones, and the like. The way i saw it, there was a huge untapped market there for consumers – someone actually putting in time and effort in evaluating these second and third-tier alternatives – and i had an honest blast doing it. In fact, i can remember receiving tons of emails from purchasers who appreciated what i had to say (however small or insignificant) as it helped them make decisions which their household budget could afford. So when i was contacted about taking a look at polaroid’s cube – what seemed at the outset to be the more affordable version of the gopro camera – i jumped at the chance … and, as usual, i’m glad i did. I don’t own a gopro – nor have i really had the desire – and that’s largely due to its price point: that just seems like way too much money for something that would only get used by this household a handful of times each year. (yes, i’m sure it has greater usage for some families; mine just isn’t one of them. ) sure, i wanted to capture some great, high quality video of certain events, but i wanted it to be more in my price range. The cube is, and i took it with me on a recent outing to las vegas, not exactly the kind of place demanding such on-the-go video but nonetheless a great place to check out the product’s strengths and weaknesses. The upsides:the price – frankly, this is really the biggest advantage to the cube, that being it’s priced to appeal to perhaps the widest segment of the buying public. Kudos to polaroid for putting something out at this level because i think many middle-american families can benefit from capturing their memories for posterity.
No more blurry video or photos when flashing light are involved. I am completely impressed with the polaroid cube+. I have cameras and mini video recorders that can take great photos but when there are lights involved, blinking or still, the devices seem to blur my photos. During christmas we have to turn our tree lights off just to take photos and videos of the grandkids opening their gifts. This polaroid cube+ is awesome and doesn’t blur any of the videos or photos taken with the tree lights blinking. The camera picks up the lights with a little blur or haze to them, but the rest of the photo is perfect. I have attached the polaroid cube+ to the outside of my car and drove around with it capturing all the scenery. The sound is amazing, it picks up dogs barking, people talking when i am in a parking lot, sirens going off and of coarse my car sounds and road noises when i am driving. The video is amazing to use at nighttime.
Cute, compact and great quality. Fantastic quality, the sound quality is surprisingly good too, i love the appearance it is super cute and very light. I haven’t given 5 stars because the battery doesn’t seem to last the longest, i’ve just been away skiing this is why i took it to get some good footage while skiing, but i found i had to charge it daily. Also the magnet is a good idea however, i would prefer a screw mount like on a camera that way you can attach it to different things and it would be more functional.
