Good quality attractive bulbs. Very brighti used these 5 of these on a dimmer without any problem (varilight jqp401w led dimmer switch from amazon). On full power they would have been far too bright for the dining room with 5 bulbs. The plastic section at the bottom (housing the power supply) means that the bulb is not quite as ‘nice’ as a filament candle bulb which is all glass. Its not something you really notice though.
Crisp warm white led (e14 termination). Found these to give out the led light in a faux, but nicer way, using some kind of internal prism. The light is crisper to my eyes, even though warm white and is suited to be a good background light. No failures in several months. For us these are inbetween a bedside and lite:) reading light. Usually with this low wattage, you’d not get a unit that is transparent, and that is where this light has an edge, making it ok to use for more than seeing where the bed is.
I have not noticed any noise would recommend this. I put up 8 of these on my dining light and they are warm and bright. Even on dimming them, i have not noticed any noisewould recommend this. They throw a bright but patterned light that creates a nice mottled effect on the glass shades around them. Three of these were a replacement for three halogen bulbs operated by a dimmer switch. Fast to start, they respond very well to the dimmer switch. Slightly long for our short glass lamp shades, but that was not a problem as they up near the ceiling. They throw a bright but patterned light that creates a nice mottled effect on the glass shades around them, and the ceiling above. Turned down they produce a nice warm sultry glow. An excellent replacement for the halogen bulbs, and in fact i am pleased to say much better.
Excellent filament bulb replacement but a bit pricey. Replacing filament bulbs with led can be a bit hit-or-miss notably in terms of brightness and the white temperature. In this case the initial results are excellent. The previous bulbs were clear filament 40w candle bulbs, and the replacement has been great – the white temperature and brightness both seem the same, and i am using this on a dimmer switch which works well (many leds do not). The only two moans i have are:a. The price – i guess if they last as long as they should then you are paying for the brand and the dimmability of them (i doubt that’s a real word, but it should be)b. I can accept on leds that the bottom half of the bulb is plastic (and in fact the width of light emitted is very good). However, there’s too much writing on the bulbs (notably on the back of where it says philips in the photo). This is annoying as the lights they are used on show this clearly.

These are good bulbs but bizarre pricing policy. These are good bulbs but bizarre pricing policy. Yet a pack of four costs £27. 78 each and a pack of 24 £159. You expect things to be cheaper when bought in bulk.
Good bulbs to replace in flame effect heater for energy savings. . Good bulb, gives a nice ‘sparkly’ warm light much like a traditional bulb. Managed to fit into a fireplace which used 2 x 60w bulbs for it’s flame effect. A bit of a tight squeeze as the bulbs are slightly longer and fatter than traditional candle bulbs. Less bright compared to original spec 2 x 60w clear bulbs however these are 40w equivalents so not bad at all and does what i needed them for. So 12w compared to 120w- so win, win result. Like using the my ‘opti-flame’ effect on my heater for long hours without the heat setting so a big energy saving. Also the old, non led bulbs blew regularly and it was a pain to change in my unit. So far 10 months on still going strong.
