Bulb works but didn’t work for our lamp. Not fault to this bulb as it works but our light fitting can’t seem to take a dimmable led bulb. Hence even after we have switch off our lamp, it still leaves a soft glow.

Works great, pity higher wattage not available. I personally like lots of light, but having been ‘lumbered’ with a room with existing wall-lights w/gu9 that i don’t want to rip out right now, there is little choice. The lamps (rated 33w) were fitted with 48w g9 incandescent – thus i guess it was always hard to match. So what about the product:- larger than your normal incandescent so ensure you buy from somewhere (like az) you can easily return and don’t open all boxes.Just check 1 first ;)- it is rated 215 lumens (205 is the non-dim white version) so really about 1/4 of a 75w bulb – not a lot- it does dim with normal dimmers but then again it is not putting out lots of light but watch out dimmer min power since it is so frugal (2. 5w)- grey colour seems better to me with metal lamps, also not likely to yellow in time- it is not cheap but then again there is not a big delta vs. Non-dimmable (also philips)personally i’d want a higher-wattage higher lumens version (e. 300-400) – but if you’re replacing 25w incandescent you are ok. If you are replacing 33-45w then they won’t be bright enough imho.

Well, the first thing that will strike you is the size, these are not small when viewed along side your normal g9s but they fitted fine even in a very small light fitting designed to squeeze in a standard g9 but do be aware. The light given off is nicely in the center of the range, not to warm not to cold. I have two fitted to glass wall lights and the light is directed a little more in a upward beam than with standard bulbs. The big issue for me was to get dimmable leds without needing to change the dimmer switch to a electronic one and i am very happy to say they work perfect. A good spread of brightness and no buzz or flicker what so ever. My wiring is very old and probably as flaky as it gets so i would believe they will work equally well or better for everyone. I will update once the first one stops working so if there is no update they are going strong.

They do what they say and use a lot less. They do what they say and use a lot less energy than a halogen bulb and will last a lot longer. Unfortunately as they are slightly longer than the halogen bulbs they are proud of the light shade and as the light in these bulbs is at the end as opposed to the whole bulb it was too bright and looked odd. Our light shades are short so this would depend on your light shade.

Excellent bulbs as always from philips. Excellent replacement for the standard bulbs. No messing around trying to avoid touching the bulb and a nice cool brightness. Dims with a standard dimmer switch so no need to swap to an led dimmer. Plus a significant savings on the bill.
