Zero noise despite any level of dimming. Zero noise despite any level of dimming. The colour replicates a 50 watt halogen perfectly. I have also bought cheaper tcp (from asda or homebase) dimmable bulbs, however these bulbs are very loud. If you are not too bothered by the buzzing noise noise then perhaps the tcp are a better choice since they are cheaper and come with 3 year guarantee. However if you are after maximum performance and quality these bulbs are probably better. I bought the bulbs when amazon had the 4 for 3 offer.
Works absolutely fine with my dimmer lights. Works absolutely fine with my dimmer lights. We buy for the shop and is connect to automatic switch on-off to.

Better than many led dimmable bulbs. Some leds used to have an ‘interesting’ view of being dimmable, with not all that much variability. These give a good response to the dimmer switch, and give a pleasant light as well when turned up.
Great light output, flawed design. Great bulbs in terms of lighting produced. Only problem is that the glass/plastic surface where the light shines through is not smooth so the suction bulb removal tool will not work in holding the bulb. For these light bulbs that design flaw is pretty much unforgivable as gu10’s tend to be fitted into recessed light fittings for ceiling lights as well as external garden lighting where you can’t get your fingers around the circumference of the bulb while fitting it.
Good quality but a bit yellow. Never sure why ‘warm white’ varies so much. Most people just want a halogen swap. The lights are a much better quality than cheaper alternative brands like auraglow (i’ve tried almost all of them and reliability is a real problem). My only niggle is that the warm white is a touch yellow compared to other brands. 5w is at least a match to the 50w halogens and i would have said brighter. Interestingly the dimmable phillips gu10s in warm white are noticeably less yellow. I would add that i am ueber picky about light colour so this will probably only be relevant to those of you considering the impact on their wall colour and furnishings etc.
Philips LED Classic 5.5 W GU10 Glass Dimmable Spot Light (Replacement for 50 W Halogen Spot) – Warm White, Pack of 24 : Dimmable gu10 led buib’s i’ve tried a few. . And these are the best price/quality i’ve found. I’ve had a farcical experience with gu10 led dimmables i’ve been through 2 types of dimmer module and 4 brands of different prices and quality. After trying lumilife, lumin tekco and allcam bulbs with varilight v-pro and aurora zero cross dimmer modules. These philips bulbs are the only ones that don’t buzz, whine or flicker.
