Appears to be like like i’ve received my whole property sorted for long run lighting. But telling alexa to turn my lights on and then feeling like i are living in the long run.

Requested new, recieved utilized. . Requested these hoping that they would occur new and unopened. The box experienced evidently been opened in advance of as there was just ordinary tape about the top rated of the manufacturing unit seal that was slash. On opening the box the cardboard that was meant to keep the uk plug adaptor was ripped open and the adaptor was now hooked up to the plug. On a person of the bulbs there had been green marks on the plastic. None of this results the use of the merchandise but it would be nice to have had a new un opened merchandise.

No feasible contender to hue from what i can see. Really content with my choice for selecting up the philips hue bulbs. I did inexpensive out ahead of these and invest in the rgb wifi bulbs off amazon and i regret it. All the colors are extremely very and exciting, but the white is extremely harsh so i had to go for these. The hue bulbs looks to have come down in rate considerably so i imagined it was a fantastic time to obtain a set. They match incandescent bulbs in color/temperature pretty very well. Looking at the duration of time these past, i would remarkably propose that any individual in the marketplace for a smart bulb consider paying the further several £££s to get these in excess of the cheaper versions.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Fantastic lighting system

It does matters that a usual light-weight on a timer doesnt. Established the routines and jobs carried out. Can even get it to tie in with nest.

Good but desires to be more cost-effective and extra include ons. Operating properly and i think it is the most effective available. Heaps of updates have been a discomfort and desires exterior lights that are inexpensive because when you established this up you realise it would be terrific to have this when you arrive home.

I have the large amazon echo and the dot in my bedroom. I bought this because of my disability. The hue lights and bridge take less than 10mins to set up. Now i have them all over the house. . A simple command and they are on, dimmed or off. Alexa gets a bit flustered sometimes so speak slow and specific words she will respond better. Regardng the hue lights you are now keeping me safer in my own home at an amount any one is able to purchase. I hope this helps anyone reading this.

Nice lights, shame about the pricing. I think i must be getting slightly eccentric when i consider £25 for two bulbs to be reasonable value, but i guess compared to the £50 a bulb for the full colour bulbs it’s a lot better. still i harbour a bit of resentment on the ludicrous pricing, which i guess is why i know very few people that have them. These are being used in lamps in our hallway that don’t require the fancy colours of the other bulbs, but i do like the apple homekit control that allows me to feel like i’m in a sci-fi movie when i tell siri to switch on /off. They’re decent enough, bulbs dim without flicker and the light is a nice warm white.

Great bit of kit, i love the ability to adjust my lights from my phone. Great for security as you can turn lights on remotely. Easy to setup, although i did need to manually set up 1 of the bulbs using the serial number. One word of advice, jot down the serial numbers of the bulbs before fitting in case you need them for the set up procedure.

Superb bit of kit, really easy to set up and use- didnt really need the manual. The work well and make me want to but more bulbs and maybe other smart items to suit.

Look forward to your smart home. . Having recently moved into a new house i thought it was about time that i finally accepted that technology was moving at a great speed and that i needed to do some catching up. Having already gotten an amazon echo and a dot, plus a nest thermostat, (reviews are available in my profile), i already had the makings of a simple smart home. My first venture in smart wireless lighting was the phillips hue starter kit, that comes with the bridge, power supply for this and two smart bulbs. As can be expected for the price you get a well designed and thought out package with all the techno bumph to boot, the box draws eyes but sort of shows the lacking inadequacy of the purchase and as you can guess further bulbs are needed to really zoop up your house, so to speak. The whole setup is simple, this is done in conjunction with the hue app and the bulbs i got are dimmable but no colour change. The light given off by the bulbs is warm and cosy and at the dimmest is great for the evening in front of the tv. The brightest setting is enough to easily read a book or write a letter etc. The app is straight forward with varying degrees of functionality but this can be extended with zones being set up, more bubs, coloured bulbs, the list goes on and on.

As straight forward as it comes. The hub doesn’t seem to be wireless, which is a surprise, but easy to connect to smart watch, phone, and alexa.

Philips hue have done a great thing here. Philips hue have done a great thing here, however their app leaves alot to the imagination and i will be purchasing a better working app, would of rated it 5 stars if it weren’t for the poor functionality of philips mobile app.

Excellent setup, works well with apple and alexa apps. Excellent setup, works well with apple and alexa apps. Very easy to install, although slightly annoying that it requires an ethernet port on my router. I suspect this won’t be an issue for the average user though. One gripe – why isn;t there a starter kit with b22 bulbs instead of the e27 bulbs?. I was about to spend a small fortune on bulbs but thankfully found a very cheap converter. If you need bayonet bulbs, buy this and get a pack of 4 converters for £4 or so, don;t pay the ridiculous prices for the official philips bulbs. Also, the innr bulbs are half the price of philips and work very well with this setup, in case you need more bulbs than this supplies :)it can be a bit of a pain if the power goes out at all, especially during the night as when it returns all the lights are on, so think before using this in a young childs bedroom.

I bought this about 4 months ago when they were on a lightning deal and since then – well, they just work. The lightbulbs have a reasonable maximum brightness and is a ‘softer white’. I had them out of the box and set up in less than 2 minutes. The app is easy to use and navigate and the bulbs do their job. I integrated them with alexa and for a while they worked fine, however, i changed my router and had to reset them up – they still work with alexa but now she always says that she’s found multiple bulbs with the same name. I’m not docking a star because i’m sure it’s an alexa problem rather than this kit – it’s just mildly annoying. This was a great buy on a deal, even at full price i think it represents good value for money. I’ve read that ikea are looking to launch smart bulbs that may work with the hue hub, which could potentially be an added bonus.

Easy setup and works perfect. Great product and very easy to setup. The app on android works as expected and product is compatible with amazon echo which works perfectly. The white light is perfect and if too bright it’s easy to dim using the phone app or amazon echo. I bought this for my wife who has mobility issues. Now she doesn’t need to worry about trying to reach sockets to turn lamps on or off.

I recommend downloading “albedo” to automatically adjust the lights to match your computer screen at night time.

I’m fitting all my house lights now. Hub works well, although if you don’t have enough lamps to create a good mesh network, the range is a bit crummy.
