Easy to set up, less than ten minutes. . Mr flb is the gadget man in our house so this is down to him mainly. We’ve had bluetooth speakers in the house, the garden and the caravan. The only downer is that you can only play music that is already stored on your iphone etc. I was suprised at the size and weight of this speaker. Its about the half the size of our microwave. That being said it looks and feels well built and a quality piece of equipment. Mr flb had it out of it’s box and set up in no time. He was soon telling me how it could stream music from a phone, ipad or the mac itself. Our twelve year old twin girls love the fact that it will stream spotify and are now begging for a premium account.
Panasonic alls wireless speaker system. This speaker is amazing, i downloaded the free app and i now listen to the radio via my tablet. I even listen to my itunes via my mobile, the sound is very good with the combination of a upper and lower wide frequency range enabling you to hear great detail. I also found it easy to use, the white stylish modern speaker is the first wireless speaker i have had that can compare to a upper end stereo for sound quality. I also used the speaker with my lap top to watch netflix and wow what a difference crystal clear sound. From panasonic a name you can truly trust.
Possibly a great piece of hardware. I bought it from amazon warehouse. Someone had obviously bricked it & returned it. Then, unfortunately,i was next in line for it. If you do buy one of these from the amazon warehouse, and the network light flashes red & blue, constantly, the item needs a repair. Here are the specifications for the Panasonic ALL8 Wireless Speaker System:
- Enter your model number
to make sure this fits.
- The Panasonic Music Streaming App makes it easy to send music wirelessly from your portable device to your speakers. This free app for Android and IOS devices simply asks you to choose your music source, choose your speaker and away you go.
- The 5 speaker system within the ALL 8, uses a Subwoofer, 2 x bass drivers and 2 x tweeters. This means that the audio signal is divided into acoustic ranges extending from bass to treble so providing the richest, purest possible sound from a spaeker of its size.
- The ALL 8 allows you to access music subscription services( including Spotify), your iTunes library or Internet radio stations via the system App, when connected to a wifi router. This means the user has access to millions of muscic tracks 24 hours a day.
- The ALL 8 speaker systems lets listeners easily configure music play over multiple rooms from multiple digital music sources, all over an existing Wi-Fi network. This is controlled wirelessly via a smartphone or tablet so that different music can be enjoyed in any room of the houseor the same song can be simultaneously played over multiple speakers.
Makes your music much more accessable. . The good:sound quality for the size of box is very good. All seems well made and sturdy. Streams flac files from my nas drive seamlessly. Internet radio streams with no problems. Panasonic app works fine with both ios and android. Links and syncs with my all2. If you don’t like the panasonic app you can try others – being part of the qualcomm allplay system the apps by the other manufacturers also work with this (i was using the musaic app but the latest panasonic app update have sorted out the niggles i had so i use that now). Where it could be improved:when i have the players linked together there is a pause a few seconds into the track on the second player, it doesn’t go out of sync or anything, just seems to buffer for a bit and then is fine for the rest of the track, switching the players around so that a different one is the primary the pause moves to the other.I’m sure there will be a solution to this somewhere and will post when i find out how to fix it.
Out of the box it’s sexy as hell, and looks amazing on the shelving unit in my living room. It looks like (and quite rightly so) a high-quality product. Setup was pretty straightforward, a single sheet of clear instuctions and, thankfully, i didn’t experience any of the issues that other people have mentioned. We’ve just moved and took out a new contract with sky and so our router is brand new, which probably helped. Once an update had been downloaded (why do these things never just work straight out of the box?) we were ready to rock and rollthe app is not the sleekest of apps, but it’s functional. I use spotify premium and so was able to link it up and get it to play with no issues at all. I realise i’m one of the very lucky ones with this, and for this i am truly grateful.I used my android phone but it works no problem with my ipad too.
Reviews from purchasers :
- Superb sound BUT tricky setup, annoying limitations (and only Spotify Premium works reliably)
- Sound quality equal to SONOS but a dodgy app
- Would be five stars if not for the awful software.
Great sound and easy setup. . This speaker is so easy to set up, as long as you have a modern smart phone. The sound is great, this is especially true at high volumes. I have tried many types of music from modern pop, rock to jazz and classical. Spotify premium is the perfect partner to these and in my opinion they look better than the lg, samsung and even the sonos options. I now have two all8’s and two all3’s setup around the house and recently bought a new vdsl modem/router to replace my talktalk/bt setup and it was just as easy to reconfigure all the speakers to work on my new 5ghz wireless network.
Would be five stars if not for the awful software. . There are a few things about these speakers i find off-putting. The first is that the app is an unfortunate mess, simultaneously requiring you to use external tools (such as the spotify app) and also have the panasonic app running in the background. This, despite the fact that other speakers in the same general specification seem to manage quite well without an intrusive, unintuitive layer of what may as well be mal-ware. It wouldn’t be so bad if the app was intuitive, but it’s not. That’s the reason why this is only four rather than five stars – when bad software is option, that’s one thing. When bad software is mandatory, it’s a deep flaw in the product. However, everything else works like a dream – set-up is very easy, and it’s equally easy to send the music you’re playing from spotify (i don’t know about other sevices) to the device. I was also happy to see that it streamed music directly from my media centre too without the need for any additional software on the system (a huge plus over other streaming apps i’ve used). Also unlike many such devices it doesn’t claim to be anything other than a meaty wireless speaker – no pretences that it’s a self-contained media centre (i’m looking at you, bose).
