Use the disc to get guidance not the finest as receiving in the car with instruction handbook far better. After bought the cling of it, it did what i required, use the disc to get recommendations not the finest as finding in the car with instruction handbook better than striving to don’t forget all the facts.

Straightforward to use and reliable. . I haven’t felt the need to buy a sat navigation system before as i have a good sense of direction and can read a map with zero difficulty. However when this came up on amazon vine i thought i’d give it a go. I’m glad i did because recently i’ve been getting sent to far flung remote areas on business and this little beauty has made life so much easier for me – no more pulling into laybyes to check road maps. It is not too clunky looking on the dashboard and is easy to connect and disconnect. Downloading the software was straightforward even for a technophobe like me. Setting the functionality to suit the dimensions of your vehicle is also straightforward and it is simplicity itself to enter your intended destination postcode. So far i’ve been using it for a couple of weeks and it hasn’t let me down yet. I’ve arrived at all my destinations without a problem and have not ended up in any dead-ends or remote farm tracks (as happened more than once when using the gps on my phone). I’m sure there will be technologically more sophisticated and sleeker looking systems out there but this gets you from a to b and is reliable and competitively priced.

Had earlier mio,s and this is just as very good good instructions and acquires gps rapidly. Here are the specifications for the Mio Technology Mio Spirit 8500 LM FEU Car Navigation –:

Reviews from purchasers :

  • First rate satellite navigation
  • An excellent purchase
  • use the disc to get instructions not the best as getting in the car with instruction manual better

Obtained me in which i wanted to go on numerous situations. . Quick to use, not worthy of the exertion of breaking home windows to nick at this price.

This is a superior sound sat nav. It’s a sturdy device with a agency suction grip holder. The display screen is crystal clear and voice commands obvious and quick to adhere to. I uncovered the program a small counter-intuitive. It truly is not immediately noticeable how to return to the major display screen and cancel route guidance, which is most likely to be when you happen to be halfway by a journey. It also will take a bit of familiarity to enter addresses with anything at all other than the postcode, road and city names can be annoying. I attempted intentionally likely a various way and on correcting the route automatically it advised me to transform down a neighbour’s non-public generate, drive past his front doorway and get back on to the street onto a observe. He wouldn’t have been impressed if i would done that. I suppose that is a failing in the map details rather than this individual satnav, but i have not arrive across it before.

My sense of direction is crap. The screen is clear to read for directions and lanes well in advance. I feel secure in the knowledge it will get to my destination.

I have had about 5 mio sat navs went away from them tried a garmin but came back to mio because they are the only ones that have house numbers along the bottom as you drive down a road. Well pleased with it and a good price for a 6 inch sat nab.

First rate satellite navigation. Well packaged and quick delivery. I have used this particular model before, i have found it to be very reliable. The maps are accurate, audio is clear and crisp, display is sharp, very friendly user interface a child could operate i highly recommend this product before buying more expensive versions.

Not as good as previous models. This will be the last of several mio satnavs that i have purchased. It was faulty at the beginning but i was able to sort that with resetting with help from the supplier. It is the most expensive one i have bought but definitely the worst. Useful features from previous models have been omitted and stupid ones have been introduced. Most irritating is that it switches on when you enter the car and then automatically switches off when the engine is started, leaving you having to press buttons on the screen just at the moment you wish to pull away. To pinpoint a location is now a three stage operation instead of an external button. The worst thing is that the mapping hasn’t caught up with pedestrianised roads that have been around for ages, and it is very slow in coming up with a detour. In fact i think it is too slow generally which is a nuisance on large multiroute roundabouts. I curse this model every time i go to a big city and have completely lost confidence in it.

Still getting used to this device but definitely worth your consideration. . I have been a long time user of tomtom and garmin gps’s and iphone and would not have considered this until it was sent for review. I have to say i am pleasantly surprised by the performance of this device. The touch screen is very responsive – better than the garmin’s and tomtoms i have used previously. The route selection is straight forward and the display is clear and easy and navigation has worked well. My only real concern is whether gps devices have had their day – ideally i would prefer to just use my phone, but the reality is that if you have a phone with a small screen, or it is not hooked into the car audio then a phone is neither clear nor as loud as a dedicated gps unit. Definitely worth consideration before plumping for either the garmin or tomtom.

This is a fairly neat gps that works very well and very easy to set up. There is everything in the box that you need to get you up and running. I’ve used these navigation aids more or less since they arrived as in business they can save you a huge amount of time looking for an address, which saves money. Even more essential nowadays. You apply the suction mount to the windscreen where you are comfortable, but, not in your eye line. Make sure you don’t as you will be breaking the law. The power lead goes from a power outlet to the back of the instrument. Find the best way to get the cable there so that it doesn’t get in the way of your driving. There is a power on and off button.

Gets you from a to b (just rather slowly). Once upon a time and many years ago – someone said that “sat nav’s” would have limited use to the public and that only large businesses and governments would require the navigational aid. Fast forward to today and the idea of getting to your destination using paper maps, verbal instructions and road signs along seems very alien. A good sat nav in your car can provide a valuable resource providing you a wealth of information from routes and traffic to safety, speed limits and route planning. “mio” is not a manufacturer that i have used often and considering the low cost of their spirit 7500 lm weu car navigation unit – i wasn’t expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised while also slightly disappointed with what i found. Starting with the basics, this unit offers maps for western europe covering 44 countries (including the uk) and being controlled and updated from the included “more desktop application. 3 inch touch screen with a built in speaker to the rear of the unit. A range of the typical features such as route planning and information as well as safety and other “standard” stuff.

The last satnav i bought was a tomtom one, many years ago. It had a very small screen and more than once i got confusing over which slip road to take. My how things have moved on. I was very impressed with this mio unit. I usually drive with the sound off, but since i was testing, i left it on, and actually found it helpful. It giving you spoken road numbers to look for on signs, and road names, even small roads. The map was very clear, and i particularly liked the junction help, where the screen jumps to a 3d (i have it on 2d maps normally, i just prefer it) representation of the junction you are approaching and draws nice big arrows on the lanes you should be in, excellent. I liked that when you type in postcodes or places, it takes letters off the keyboard that couldn’t be used next, helping you find keys faster (as not qwerty) and helping you spell weird place names. I did struggle to find heathrow t4 with it at first, but just like google, if your first search doesn’t work, try something else.
