Not exactly handy when hoping to come across where you want to go. I have to say this is a bit strike and miss, largely mainly because it likes to do its possess issue this sort of as predictive textual content when hunting for addresses. Not precisely beneficial when making an attempt to discover wherever you want to go in a hurry. It would not seem to be as up to day as other sat navs. But owning claimed that it is not as costly as other kinds. It does perform but it is not sensational.

The unit does give very good course. You have a woman voice (this can. This assessment is for the spirit 7670 truck edition. I have been utilizing this sat nav for just beneath a thirty day period, predominantly for screening purposes, as opposed to truly needing to. It truly is straight forward to established up utilizing the activation code, but i was miffed that there no guidance for mac, obtaining to use my son’s home windows pc to download and set up the program and map updates. Navigation of the device is straight ahead, if not a bit clunky, in use, the device does give good path. You have a female voice (this can be modified by downloading a mans voice).

I have used this a couple of moments now and have no issues actually. It was effortless to setup and also very fast to put in maps. There is not cable provided to plug this into a pc but it just a conventional usb so didn’t trigger too a lot of issues. I was ready to in shape the sat nav to my window pretty conveniently, although it was a tad fiddly. It does stay firmly in location. The two journeys i have produced making use of this have been fine. The sat nav has acquired me there and the guidance are distinct. The merchandise alone appears to be superior, its slimline and a great gray color.

Received me where by i required to go on various situations. . Simple to use, not worth the work of breaking home windows to nick at this value.

Nonetheless finding used to this unit but certainly value your thing to consider. . I have been a extended time consumer of tomtom and garmin gps’s and apple iphone and would not have regarded as this until it was despatched for review. I have to say i am pleasantly surprised by the general performance of this gadget. The contact screen is really responsive – greater than the garmin’s and tomtoms i have used earlier. The route selection is straight ahead and the display screen is clear and straightforward and navigation has worked effectively. My only actual problem is no matter whether gps units have had their day – ideally i would like to just use my cellular phone, but the fact is that if you have a cell phone with a tiny screen, or it is not hooked into the car audio then a cellular phone is neither clear nor as loud as a focused gps unit. Definitely truly worth consideration before plumping for possibly the garmin or tomtom.

Mio Spirit 5400 LM FEU Car Navigation : My garmin sat nav gave up the ghost recently so i was looking forward to the arrival of this new device. The display is great – nice big graphics, clean, easy to read design. It comes with the usual mounting arm and kit to fix it to the window – standard, no issues there. The device found the satellites easily and the process to enter your destination is straightforward. I’ve had no problems at all with finding different destinations. From the product description it seems like this is the most basic model in this range. Personally i wouldn’t need any more features or functionality than this offers. And that comes from someone with no sense of direction or map-reading ability who completely relies on a sat nav to get me anywhere outside of my normal route to and from work.

My sense of direction is crap. The screen is clear to read for directions and lanes well in advance. I feel secure in the knowledge it will get to my destination.

Use the disc to get instructions not the best as getting in the car with instruction manual better. Once got the hang of it, it did what i wanted, use the disc to get instructions not the best as getting in the car with instruction manual better than trying to remember all the info.

I have had about 5 mio sat navs went away from them tried a garmin but came back to mio because they are the only ones that have house numbers along the bottom as you drive down a road. Well pleased with it and a good price for a 6 inch sat nab.

First rate satellite navigation. Well packaged and quick delivery. I have used this particular model before, i have found it to be very reliable. The maps are accurate, audio is clear and crisp, display is sharp, very friendly user interface a child could operate i highly recommend this product before buying more expensive versions.

Not as good as previous models. This will be the last of several mio satnavs that i have purchased. It was faulty at the beginning but i was able to sort that with resetting with help from the supplier. It is the most expensive one i have bought but definitely the worst. Useful features from previous models have been omitted and stupid ones have been introduced. Most irritating is that it switches on when you enter the car and then automatically switches off when the engine is started, leaving you having to press buttons on the screen just at the moment you wish to pull away. To pinpoint a location is now a three stage operation instead of an external button. The worst thing is that the mapping hasn’t caught up with pedestrianised roads that have been around for ages, and it is very slow in coming up with a detour. In fact i think it is too slow generally which is a nuisance on large multiroute roundabouts. I curse this model every time i go to a big city and have completely lost confidence in it.

Still getting used to this device but definitely worth your consideration. . I have been a long time user of tomtom and garmin gps’s and iphone and would not have considered this until it was sent for review. I have to say i am pleasantly surprised by the performance of this device. The touch screen is very responsive – better than the garmin’s and tomtoms i have used previously. The route selection is straight forward and the display is clear and easy and navigation has worked well. My only real concern is whether gps devices have had their day – ideally i would prefer to just use my phone, but the reality is that if you have a phone with a small screen, or it is not hooked into the car audio then a phone is neither clear nor as loud as a dedicated gps unit. Definitely worth consideration before plumping for either the garmin or tomtom.

This is a fairly neat gps that works very well and very easy to set up. There is everything in the box that you need to get you up and running. I’ve used these navigation aids more or less since they arrived as in business they can save you a huge amount of time looking for an address, which saves money. Even more essential nowadays. You apply the suction mount to the windscreen where you are comfortable, but, not in your eye line. Make sure you don’t as you will be breaking the law. The power lead goes from a power outlet to the back of the instrument. Find the best way to get the cable there so that it doesn’t get in the way of your driving. There is a power on and off button.

Gets you from a to b (just rather slowly). Once upon a time and many years ago – someone said that “sat nav’s” would have limited use to the public and that only large businesses and governments would require the navigational aid. Fast forward to today and the idea of getting to your destination using paper maps, verbal instructions and road signs along seems very alien. A good sat nav in your car can provide a valuable resource providing you a wealth of information from routes and traffic to safety, speed limits and route planning. “mio” is not a manufacturer that i have used often and considering the low cost of their spirit 7500 lm weu car navigation unit – i wasn’t expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised while also slightly disappointed with what i found. Starting with the basics, this unit offers maps for western europe covering 44 countries (including the uk) and being controlled and updated from the included “more desktop application. 3 inch touch screen with a built in speaker to the rear of the unit. A range of the typical features such as route planning and information as well as safety and other “standard” stuff.

The last satnav i bought was a tomtom one, many years ago. It had a very small screen and more than once i got confusing over which slip road to take. My how things have moved on. I was very impressed with this mio unit. I usually drive with the sound off, but since i was testing, i left it on, and actually found it helpful. It giving you spoken road numbers to look for on signs, and road names, even small roads. The map was very clear, and i particularly liked the junction help, where the screen jumps to a 3d (i have it on 2d maps normally, i just prefer it) representation of the junction you are approaching and draws nice big arrows on the lanes you should be in, excellent. I liked that when you type in postcodes or places, it takes letters off the keyboard that couldn’t be used next, helping you find keys faster (as not qwerty) and helping you spell weird place names. I did struggle to find heathrow t4 with it at first, but just like google, if your first search doesn’t work, try something else.
