Lofelt The Basslet – the watch-size subwoofer : but a very good addition to any music lovers

A truly great kickstarter child. . Absolutely awesome, i was rather skeptical when i backed it on kickstarter, but this is some kind of black magic. I only hope they would make a deal with a smartwatch company, like it is i can’t be bothered to wear it everyday as i am used to having a watch but i really miss it when listening to music if it is not there.

I could only feel it on my wrist. I could only feel it on my wrist and it didn’t do much for me. It is more interesting to put it elsewhere, in fact i found the best place was to put it on my head on the inside of my headphone strap that goes over my head – that made for a bass heavy feeling in my whole head, i think if they partnered with a headphone company to do that perhaps call it ‘bass-head’ or something and it might be a great product.

Feel your music – 2. 1 sound on the move. I was a backer on the kick-starter project that brought this new bit of tech to life. Having already experienced the use of another wearable sub (the subpac – a large device that looks and is worn like a back-pack in order to deliver ‘physical’ bass frequencies that pulse against your body) i was interested in something far more portable that could potentially deliver a similar (if lower key) experience. This review won’t contain much in the way of specs i’m afraid and is more focused on the experience – so if you’re looking for things like ‘how long the battery lasts’ there are many other places to look. Lofelt’s customer support is great, just fire them a q directly on their website. The battery lasts a decent length of time between charges though, just for the record. Designthe basslet comes in very nice packaging: neat, sleek and compact. Inside is the basslet, with one strap already attached, the receiver with it’s 3. Here are the specifications for the Lofelt The Basslet – the watch-size subwoofer:

  • Enter your model number
    to make sure this fits.
  • Watch-size subwoofer to feel the bass in music – for the most powerful mobile music experience
  • The Basslet precisely recreates bass frequencies from 10Hz to 250Hz and sends them straight to your body
  • Truly mobile: wear it everyday – and anywhere you go
  • Completely silent to the outside world
  • Works with all wired headphones and audio devices. No app, software or configuration

Music isn’t the same without it. I have been wearing my basslet every day since i first got it. It adds this new dimension to music that you don’t realise is missing until you 1. When i haven’t got my basslet on then you really notice how flat the listening experience is on headphones alone.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • It’s OKAY but not amazing. I could only feel it on my wrist
  • Nice idea, but not quite there yet.
  • I like it. Yes i thought it would be body

Nice idea, but not quite there yet. . Let’s start by saying, it doesn’t totally suck. I’m not the world’s greatest audiophile, but i do use a dac and i use shure se535 iems. So yeah, i do enjoy my sound quality. This basslet is, unfortunately, not good enough for what it promises. The website reviews, the interviews, and all the other marketing material make claims that you ‘feel it in your body’. The response is amazing, and the bass lines up perfectly with the beat.

But a very good addition to any music lovers. Not for everybody, especially for the price, but a very good addition to any music lovers life.

Great for listening to music, even better in a live environment. I bought this with an open mind. The reviews which stated that you only feel it in your wrist left me apprehensive while i was debating whether or not to take a punt on this. But when it arrived and i started using it, i was pleasantly surprised. After using it for a while, you stop “noticing” it on your wrist. Your body is still processing and recognising the vibrations. It’s at this point if you stop using it, you will immediately feel that you are missing something: the extra dynamic that adds a whole new dimension to how you listen to music. Adding more bass using the unit itself increments quite significantly. You may feel like you overshoot the desirable sweet spot but the trick is to set it to 1 unit lower than you would like then increase the volume on your music player. The basslet responds accordingly.

Yes i thought it would be body. Yes i thought it would be body shaking. I realise that is unrealistic, would i really wear a wrist piece that shook my entire body. As someone said, when you mind starts to let go a bit the experience pulls together and really adds a whole new dimension to the music. I am slightly addicted to it atm. Some music is a bit much for it, but i think its a problem of the record rather than the device. 80% of music is amazing with it. I suppose a good analogy is the music is has a spacial dimension it didn’t have before.

Hard to go back once you tried it. . Just got around to trying this out. Totally blown away in an unexpected way. The intensity of the experience is really surpassing my expectations. However: there’s a learning curve. It took me about 3 songs to really get into it. Pro:• long battery life• easy plug’n play – no apps or pairing needed• works with any of my headphonescon:• it can take a moment to get used to• all your friends keep asking what this thing is ;-)the simplistic design is an understatement. There’s some pretty serious engineering inside. Wristband and sender snap together magnetically for charging.

Totally addicted to bass(let). From the very first time i tried the basslet, i was hooked. Every kickdrum, every bassline goes straight into my body and soul. Listening to music will never be the same again.
