The best smart bulbs on the market. Ive tried all the options in the market, even the famous phillips hue but the mayor points of this one compared to the rest:-they can be used remotely without being in the same wifi, is not a mayor thing but it can be convenient at sometimes- they are brighter- they memorize scenes even after days , i have a long hallway in my house and i like to have a rainbow colour cycle on them, with phillips hue i had to start the effect every day or when someone turned off the wall switch, with lifx i don’t have to care about it anymore as soon i’m at home the effect starts.

Okay, but could be a lot better. . Bought this as i am into my techy gadgets. Price seemed high, but i was prepared to pay having read the reviews and the competition. The lifx was easy to setup through the app and it was great to be able to dim the light and change the tint and colour and even on two thirds power the light was very effective. Integration with amazon alexa was not as easy though. The major issue with this device is the wifi frequency it operates at. 4ghz and although my wifi is setup to operate under the same ssd for both 2. 4 & 5ghz, when i leave the house and therefore drop my wifi altogether, on my return my iphone immediately grabs a 5ghz wifi connection. When i try to connect to the lifx device all the settings in the app have gone, even if i try to log into the 2.
Quality product so worth the cost. Very impressed with the lifx bulbs, i now have 4 lamps over 2 rooms in my house and have also added their strip light in my kitchen. They feel very solid with a quality construction and the colours are very vivid with an easy use app that is very responsive. Glad i went with these for my smart lighting to compliment other smart devices i have.
But pretty expensive at over £30 a pop. Does as advertised, with different many different colours and brightness, controlled by by echo dot or from an app on my phone, – had a little hassle in getting it set up, initially my phone wouldn’t see it as a device, but got there in the end with a re-install and a bit of fiddling. I can see it’s uses which could be many – however to be honest it’s something of a toy for me, i bought it as an experiment, and it does work. – i guess if you filled your room with these bulbs it would work well as a theme, but pretty expensive at a little over £30 a pop, (more if not on prime day) nothing intrinsically wrong at all, but something of a gimmick.
LIFX (E27) Wi-Fi Smart LED Light Bulb, Adjustable, Multicolour, Dimmable, No Hub Required, Works with Alexa, Pack of 4 : After updating the firmware have no real problems with it after owning it for about two months now. The only problem i find, is that if my isp decideds to have a wobble and drop my internet connection, these bulbs don’t seem to try and refind your wifi again. So you have to turn them off and back on again, a classic it problem.:)apart from that, being controlled by the app, or amazon’s alexa, seems to be to the job. I just wish they were a little cheaper, so i could get one for every room of the house. (maybe not rgb for all, but still).
