Grouping the speakers could be better i. I have 3 of these speakers and whilst it’s not sonos it’s a lot cheaper and serves its purpose well, the sound output is decent and the sync works well. Limited applications bring it down but it works with dlna so some android devices can cast straight to it and airplay works with it which broadens the limited apps. As i only really need it for spotify it doesn’t really matter the app limitation i can live with. Grouping the speakers could be better i. Allowing multiple groups but again considering the price point i can live with it.
Multiple set up is best to get real value for money – just the one is a novelty for me. . Having previously had a simple bluetooth speaker to play my phone and laptop music through, i welcomed the chance to try a wifi speaker that offered similar facilities, and more apparently. Once the app was installed, after searching simply for ‘jam speaker’ its just a case of following simple install instructions to be up & running in less than 2 minutes. The app itself is underwhelming in its usability – while it does what it needs to do it just doesn’t seem right to me. Speaker styling is simple & understated with a revolving ‘jam’ badge depending on if you stand it portrait or landscape – note if you stand it up in portrait you will only get mono sound. As mentioned in other reviews, you must use the app to play music to your speaker – annoyingly so. Your own music on your phone or stream stations from the supplied radio station browsers – or spotify but you must have a paid version of the app to stream to your speaker/syes, if you have more than one speaker you can play the same or different tunes to different speakers or groups of speakers – but i don’t have the extra speakers to try this function. Audio level / bass / treble are adjustable for your own ears – as for the quality i am sure if you are an audiophile you can pick holes in it, but for me, and no doubt many others it is better than you might expect from a small black box. One let down for me over a traditional bluetooth speaker is i cant ( if i can, i cant see how) play music from my laptop where my itunes has most of my music – a step backwards for me. All in all, a good speaker with good functionality in the right household – but i get the feeling it is of far more use when used in a multiple speaker set up – just one speaker & you aren’t likely to stray too far from it.

The rhythm is quite small and unobtrusive but in a medium size room it packs a punch. After a few days of use i found that whilst adequate at lower volumes it comes into its own above 50%. It might not produce the same quality of sound as sonos but it is still a great sound.
Good value and quality product. Been looking for a multi room speaker system for a while all too expensive this was perfect price and a brilliant speaker i bought 2 lounge and upstairs to try it so pleased with it now going for a third to complete the system. The tone and clarity is really good and product well made it takes minutes to establish.

Great speakers, wish iphone could catch up. . I own 6 of these, 3 symphony speakers and 3 jam rhythm speakers, these speakers have a great tone and the app has been updated to make it much better than most people seem to rate it. The app will now sync speakers and you can set them in sync as a left and right speaker if you wish,or all as individual speakers. I have them all around the house and love the ease with which i can change from one to the other, the only problem i have is using it with the itunes app which can’t seem to use my external hdd to share over my iphone app on my phone to control the music around the house. As i use my iphone to control these speakers via the jam wifi app, the itunes and iphone apps won’t seem to allow you to access your music over your network via your phone app.
A nice little speaker, supposed to have a subwoofer built in, must be pretty small then coz the bass is negligible.
