Boot instances are close to 10 seconds from cold. I moved some of the system folders from the c (ssd) generate around to the d (tricky disk) push for storage and will run only the os, method documents and online games off of the ssd. Every little thing is ticking together quite properly so significantly. The keyboard is also fairly superior with a first rate sum of travel. A great deal much better so much in comparison to the lenovo ideapad 700 that i experienced to return for remaining faulty.

Hp pavillion seventeen-ab200na (seventeen. 3inch laptop). I acquired this laptop for photo enhancing with lightroom and photoshop and it appears to be to work well with both equally boot time is very fast in comparison to my outdated hp with no ssd the only draw back is the ssd could have been more substantial at only 128gb and i may have to swap it for a more substantial a person,it has plenty of place for data with the 1tb sata next drive,on the full i am incredibly happy with this laptop and at underneath £1000 i have to give it five stars.

Really loud even though participating in online games.

HP Pavilion Pro 14-bf009na 14-inch FHD Laptop (Mineral Silver) – (Intel Core i5-7200U, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Intel HD Graphics 620, Windows 10 Home) : Comparable performance as i7-4790 pc a bit heavy to carry long distance but usual for the size. . Bought this laptop to work in parallel with my office pc. My priority was on performance. Most of the calculation jobs are done as if done on my i7-4790 pc. Buttonless touchpad is also easy to navigate. The size is bigger than i imagined; mistook my wife’s 15. A bit heavy to carry long distance. Anyway this was not built for it.

Happy to recommend this for the average laptop user. I have had 3 previous hp computers all great quality which is why i went with them again. I narrowed my search for my new laptop down to this and an omen with somewhat lower spec but he same price and based on the spec of this and the price i went with this. I have had it for a month now and find it to be great. With out being an expert i can only describe how i feel about the followingsound greatscreen greatspeed greatfan very loud when gaming but i suppose that means it is doing its job and keeping things coolover all feel a little light and plasticy the omen might have had a sturdier build quality but so far no bother with this and i doubt there will bethere are only 3 usb slots but this should be enoughi am marking this at 4 stars its not perfect but it does the job i like it and fingers crossed there wont be any bother it just feels a bit lighter than my previous hp computers which in fairness were super heavy but i like that.

A good buy after a bad start. . My initial experience with this laptop was very negative, since on arrival it was completely unresponsive (not charging or showing any sign of life). However the hp support person soon worked out that it required a full bios update (as similarly reported by another amazon purchaser). The bios update was a lengthy process but the adviser took me through it efficiently and the laptop is now working well. Time will tell if it continues without problems but i am very pleased with the features and performance now. Good value for a high spec laptop, although there may be some issues with the inbuilt software.

Great but a couple of small issues. I am happy with the laptop and i won’t agree with the other reviews about noise of the hard drive or the lights of the keyboard. One star goes away because a computer of this price should have more than just two usb 3. 0 and just three usb ports altogether. I would also take a half star away, but obviously impossible :-), for in some cases the computer freezes for about a half second (for example every time when uac pops up or when an external drive is plugged in) and this has nothing to do with the ssd drive that another reviewer has mentioned for i have had many other computers with ssd primary drive and i had never experienced this problem. However, it is not very important because it doesn’t happen that often and i have therefore no hesitation in recommending this computer.

I bought this laptop a couple of months ago. I was looking for a powerful laptop which would last me a few years and a large screen as my eyes are not what they used to be. It’s been fine so far other than an issue when it kept crashing when i pulled the power cable which a phone call to hp support(who were great) sorted out by upgrading the bios. It boots up very quickly and mostly runs without any noise with the fan which only turning on when the processor is being worked hard. One issue i do have is the brightness of the screen. If you do need to use it outside or in brightness in general then i do feel the screen could be a bit brighter which i have told hp support and they are looking into. Battery life is about 6 hours with normal use(full brightness) which is pretty good given the size of the screen and the processor. I have bought another battery and power cable from hp so i am able to run all day as well as ensuring i have these key parts for the foreseeable future as i intent to have this screen along time. It has a cd rom drive and plenty of usb ports which i fully utilise.

Only slight problem is that the computer freezes for half a second when doing some tasks. I imagine it is problem with the c:/. I read that it can be to do with the ssd hard drive sticking sometimes and is a common problem, although i’m no expert. Don’t have a problem with noise or whirring as some other reviews have said. Really fast when using video and image editing. And plays the few games i’ve tried (skyrim, counter strike go) on max settings like a dream, although they’re a few years old now. Be careful that you know what you’re buying. This is a 17″ screen and really quite large and heavy. No so good for mobility, but great if you want a laptop to sit on your desk 95 percent of the time, as i do.

Its really good has everything it says it has. Its really good has everything it says it has. Just double check if you do actually want a 17inch monitor as it is not for everyone.

Boot times are around 10 seconds from cold. I moved some of the system folders from the c (ssd) drive over to the d (hard disk) drive for storage and will run only the os, program files and games off of the ssd. Everything is ticking along quite nicely so far. The keyboard is also pretty good with a decent amount of travel. Much better so far in comparison to the lenovo ideapad 700 that i had to return for being defective.
