Outstanding sat nav my spouse was delighted with it. Excellent sat nav my husband was delighted with it. Getting it to france touring about and programmed all the routes into it for each and every working day which includes hotel stops.

Garmin zumo 345lm four. 3 inch motorbike sat nav. Does almost everything you require & a lot more, loads of sub menus & simple to join with computer. I paired the speech instructions with my headset by using bluetooth (uncomplicated to do), but turned the speech off in the conclusion, as the consistent warnings about velocity variations obtained on my nervestrying to trip a bike, concentrate / look where by you’re heading & study a sat nav at the exact time can be tests in developed up area’s, i found that in some cases the map took far too lengthy to type itself out when performing a large amount of direction changes in a quick distance, but that was probably extra to so with the scale i had it set to, than the precise sat nav. I nevertheless have not labored out all the characteristics, which will get time, but great products all round though – i would obtain it once more, just wish the motorbike sat navs had been in a identical cost bracket to equal automobile sat navs.

Superb , thank you , wonderful vendor.

Perfectly truly worth the funds even if high priced with excellent consumer assistance. Fantastic piece of package, i did have a dilemma with electric power from on bike charging, called garmin assist desk and they claimed it almost certainly is the charging cable pickup pins where by satnav and cable fulfill in cradle, despatched a new cable straight out as substitution. As for use, routes, and so on all i can say is go through the guide and and ‘it does what it suggests on the tin’. In summary getting utilized mine to tour scotland you can see why the garmin is the benchmark.

Like aircon in a motor vehicle – at the time you have it, how could you ever not?. Came free with the bicycle, i practically gave it away, but right after two+ a long time, 17,000 miles round most of europe, i now do not like touring without it. I do not abide by the directions slavishly, but i know whichever route i choose, it’s going to get me wherever i want to go- and if i have a preplanned arrival time, i know how extended i have remaining to perform. When i am working lower on gasoline, no much more hunting about for a petrol station – a few of touches and i am sorted. It truly is fantastic to (practically) usually know the velocity limit in cities. It gives a great indication of the approaching bends when roadsigns don’t. It can be easy to use, even with winter season gloves on. Quick to see, the only exception being on those people scarce really dazzling but rainy times when i have my dayglow overjacket on. It’s withstood using all working day at superior pace through weighty rain, falling off the bicycle (my fault) at thirty+mph without a scratch.

Garmin ZUMO 345LM 4.3 inch Motorbike Satellite Navigation with UK, Ireland and Western Europe Maps, Free Lifetime Map Updates and Bluetooth : Happy to receive the garmin 595lm in good time, it was easy to set up and i am looking forward to many miles of pleasurable riding.

I’m happy with this so far as an upgrade for a failing zumo550. Learn what it can do and it’s little idiosyncrasies and you won’t be disappointed. It was important to me to be able to load custom (osm) mapping. And to load and follow “tracks”. It does both with the addition of being able to create a route (and hence give navigation guidance) from a loaded track. The loss of one star is because i cannot understand why you get asked what the next waypoint is when you stop on a route half way through. Surely it’s a gps and should know where you are and just carry on, which is what the 550 does. It’s fairly easy to find out of you can’t remember but it is strange.

The fundamental grumble about this (and other branded bike sat navs) is that it is just overpriced for what it is. Sure it worked well enough, but why not – it is hardly bleeding edge techology anymore and only has to do one thing. Also, you have to cart the thing around since there is no security on the mounting kit. Yes i knew all of this when i bought it and maybe it is as good as any out there but compared to a cheap tablet it is low resolution and slow – it could be made so much better – if garmin felt like making it so.

Good sturdy satnav for the bike. It does all it should do and is big enough, without being too big. If i had to complain about anything, it would be that the screen can sometimes be difficult to see when the sun is on it. The u-bolt to fix it to the bars could have been rubberised to prevent it marking the bars, and a tad longer too. My main gripe is the basecamp route planning software for your pc. I find it slow and unwieldy. Having to have the unit plugged into the pc can be annoying if you want to plan anywhere other than sitting at your desk. Googlemaps is so much smoother and user friendly, but unfortunately you can’t use that directly. I find myself planning a route on googlemaps and replicating that in basecamp to send to the unit itself.

I paired the speech directions with my headset via bluetooth (easy to do), but turned the speech off in the end, as the constant warnings about speed changes got on my nervestrying to ride a bike, concentrate / look where you’re going & read a sat nav at the same time can be testing in built up area’s, i found that sometimes the map took too long to sort itself out when doing a lot of direction changes in a short distance, but that was probably more to so with the scale i had it set to, than the actual sat nav. I still haven’t worked out all the features, which will take time, but great product overall though – i would buy it again, just wish the motorbike sat navs were in a similar price bracket to equivalent car sat navs.

I don’t follow the directions slavishly, but i know whatever route i take, it’ll get me where i want to go- and if i have a preplanned arrival time, i know how long i have left to play. When i’m running low on fuel, no more searching about for a petrol station – a couple of touches and i’m sorted. It’s great to (nearly) always know the speed limit in towns. It gives a great indication of the upcoming bends when roadsigns don’t. It’s easy to use, even with winter gloves on.
