The product was good, did quite a good job, but i couldn’t find a suitable place in my car to fit it in without obstructing my view (ford focus 2012) so had to return it. You’ll have to find a compromise – either you record the road well without seeing much of it yourself, or you have a decent visibility of the road but your bonnet is the main subject of your recordings.
Great device, clear maps and lovely big screen – and a dash-cam to boot. I initially didn’t like this and was going to return it as a) i thought it was faulty as it wouldn’t record any footage on the dashcam and b) it’s quite big and heavy. However, i figured out latterly that you have to move the memory card from the slot it arrives in into the other and put your recording memory card in the red card slot, dohthe recording capability is very good and the maps are great, though you’ll need to plug into your computer and register and update maps before you start – that does take some time. The apps are great – you can of course set home location and many favourites and it has a lot of points of interest etc. The screen is very good though in sunshine, it can prove a little difficult to see the screen. It also comes with a traffic update cable – the cable is quite bulky but necessary if you want live traffic reports. The only real downside (and the removal of one star) is the included windscreen mount. On about 4 occasions now, the entire mount fell of my windscreen when i was driving along which, if i hadn’t caught it, could have been very dangerous if it fell into the foot-well by the pedals. I had checked each time that it was securely fixed to the windscreen so i’m not sure what happened. I have subsequently bought a different mount that sits on the dashboard and it’s far better.
Nice clear display and easy to. Bought this to replace the camera in the car and to replace my other garmin but as yet have not tried it in the car but will be doing so shortly. Nice clear display and easy to use. Here are the specifications for the Garmin NÜvicam LMT Satellite Navigation System:

Excellent sat nav and dashcam; some minor drawbacks. . I wanted to condense my sat nav, dashcam and reverse camera into one so i took a punt on the nuvicam. First thing you’ll notice is how big the unit itself is and the space it takes up on the windscreen. You should also note that this requires an 8gb map update out of the box. Placing the unit on the window can be difficult if you have a near-vertical windscreen. The suction unit itself is excellent. It’s a departure from the usual garmin setup as the power cable attaches to the holder and not the unit itself. The sat nav attaches to the unit via a magnet which makes attachment/removal quite easy. To address some concerns raised in other reviews, i have found navigation and the map in general to be excellent. I have seen some users expressing their annoyance at how ‘animation/cartoon-like’ the map is.
Excellent product, shame about the aerial. Very fragile for a portable device. . This is an excellent sat nav, good clear screen, voice guidance is easy to understand. The instructions are much clearer as it tells you street names as opposed to just ‘turn next right’ etc. Like the more precise guidance that uses landmarks/objects in the instructions. Eg ‘turn left after postbox, turn right before zebra crossing etc. Only gave it 4 stars for three reasons1 screen is not the type of glass ‘gorilla glass’ used on mobile phones,2 case is cheap plastic. ( accidentally dropped it about 1 metre and screen smashed rendering device useless)3 i had a garmin nuvi with traffic which used the power adapter as a receiver for traffic. This has a piece of wire about a metre long which you have to position up the windscreen. Looks ridiculous and nothing like as effective ( if by any chance garmin read this we are in the 21st century, we can ring anywhere in the world from a device which fits in your pocket, what on earth makes garmin develop a device with something that looks like it’s a throwback to the victorian age.

Great satnav comes with bluetooth handsfree, traffic alerts and dash cam all of which works. The bluetooth was easy to connect, the traffic alerts have so far been correct and the dash cam is recording perfect however there are two things which stop it getting 5 stars. The first its size its simply huge imagine putting an iphone 6s plus screen on your dash and your close to its actual size its fine in larger cars but i think in smaller cars with less windscreen space your struggle to find a good place to position it especially for the dash cam to cover the overall front view. The other problem i have with it is the collision warning/lane departure it simply doesn’t work i’ve tried everything to get it to work, positioning the camera in various areas etc and it just will not work correctly either giving me incorrect warnings or not warning me when it should. Overall great if you want a combined satnav and dash cam however if your buying this for the collision warning/lane departure or looking for something small to fit in your car i would look at some of garmins other satnavs.
We have got on very well with it.
