Definitely like this product or service for simplicity of use, so simple to set up, and input addresses. Also like the show, makes for quick visual reference.

I bought this for my husband’s birthday present. He was delighted (which would not often materialize with presents) and has experienced enormous pleasurable taking part in with it at any time given that.

Very good entry stage sat nav which is well priced. There are some newer garmin’s out in the entry vary, but the price on the nuvi 50 is really hard to beat right now. It can be not the most aspect packed gpu you will at any time obtain, but it will get the task performed for modest outlay. I purchased this for a friend who just required an very affordable gps and did not want the superior bits the better priced models have. While the usual garmin interface is the identical throughout the selection, there are some dissimilarities in the versions. Rapid summary of the excellent and terrible factors. Pros:+ first rate 5′ touchscreen, rather very clear and shiny. + bang per buck is superior on the nuvi 50 it really is a really fantastic offer+ simple and quick to use+ it does have speed camera alerts+ has a micro sd slot so can be upgraded with larger map places+ street title and postal code research, as effectively as gps coordinates+ details of fascination database (stores, inns, gas stations, community points of interest and so forth)+ has the lane aid dual monitor screen (helpful for motorway driving)downsides:- no targeted visitors traits, this isn’t really a substantial downer but some garmins use historic info for site visitors (time of working day and so forth) , and will avoid significant congestion streets. This design won’t have that alternative- there is no ‘eco route’ alternative both this permitted you to decide the most fuel productive route- not suitable with the fm site visitors updates, even if you have the cable for it, the nuvi 50 will not support it- no bluetooth (handy for fingers free of charge cell phone calls)- no journey journey planner (this can be useful for for a longer period prolonged multi waypoint trips)you get most of the core standard options you may have to have, minus the over restrictions. No entire world clock or forex converter, but handful of would need these extras.

Fed up with my most current tomtom so imagined i would try a garmin for a modify. Uncomplicated to established up, great clear monitor. All in all i am incredibly happy.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Good entry level Sat Nav that’s well priced
  • great instrument
  • Wonderful Garmin

It may well not have all the whizzy attributes of some £100+ types but does every thing you require from a sat nav. It has a great huge display with a really clear show that is quick to view, even when it really is seriously sunny. The quantity is loads loud plenty of to be read plainly even in excess of the air con & loud music. It has a qwerty keyboard which tends to make typing in addresses seriously uncomplicated (you can adjust the keyboard layout but why would you want to?). You can select in between two variations of verbal instructions – a person provides street names, the other doesn’t. Use the selection that offers road names & you have an extra characteristic – a hilarious guessing game hoping to do the job out the random pronunciation it gives to particular names (sure, it truly is juvenile but it can be humorous)the menu is definitely effortless to use & extremely self explanatory. It finds destinations swiftly &, to date, has bought me to the correct area with no issues. I’m really delighted i acquired this, a really very good invest in & i advise it.

I was recently given a loan of a nuvi50 model when going on holiday. Having never been a fan of satnav and having considered them a bit of a gimmick – nothing wrong with an atlas or google maps – i actually found it to be indispensable when holidaying in an unfamiliar area. So much so that on my return i bought the same model myself. The nuvi50 is excellent value for money, with some good features and a 5″ screen. It hasn’t got lots of bells and whistles but is perfectly adequate for normal everyday use without going over the top pricewise.

It may not have all the whizzy features of some £100+ models but does everything you need from a sat nav. It has a good large screen with a really clear display that’s easy to view, even when it’s really sunny. The volume is plenty loud enough to be heard clearly even over the air con & loud music. It has a qwerty keyboard which makes typing in addresses really easy (you can change the keyboard layout but why would you want to?). You can choose between 2 styles of verbal directions – one gives road names, the other doesn’t. Use the option that gives road names & you have an extra feature – a hilarious guessing game trying to work out the random pronunciation it gives to certain names (yes, it’s juvenile but it’s funny)the menu is really easy to use & very self explanatory. It finds locations quickly &, to date, has got me to the right place with no problems. I’m really pleased i bought this, a really good buy & i recommend it.

I bought this for my husband’s birthday present. He was delighted (which doesn’t often happen with presents) and has had enormous fun playing with it ever since.
First the screen is large and has a clear picture, the screen resolution contrast, brightness and colors are all very good. The representation of complex junctions is clear,so that with several close junctions say on a motorway it is easy to get in the right lanein the right time and get off the motorway at the right placeit is cheap at 100 pounds, the vocal instructions are clear, and give plenty of time for manoeuvres, the different menus are easy to use, and one can not really get lostin them or on the road. In fact one can actually just go by the vocal instructions and not need to look at the map on the screen if one wishes. The device loudspeaker has a good tonal balance not being too treble. It finds even the shortest streets in the uk, 50 yard streets, the instrument is safe as the time of the eyes not being on the road is reallyminimal, due to good verbal instructions, and a clear layout. I have not even used all the facilities by a very long way, maybe just 10 percent of them max,but no complaints, it gives a feeling of security and safety knowing where one is going in a completely new place. Only one minus/ it has only uk places/my wifes tomtom xl has the maps of england, france belgium, and france etc, but not perfectly detailed. So we have two devices one for europe, and one for uk, the tom tom was 280euros,250pounds,in 2007 several years before we bought the garmin. So go and get it and never be disappointed.
