Very excellent seem signature. I definitely like these earphones i have to say. It is very early times but the initially perception is a fantastic one particular. I have focal professionals and absolutely assume they are great, i would give individuals headphones five stars. The explanation i have provided these earphones four stars is, at the moment i have not burned these in, the sphear have just so extremely a little bit additional bass than the pros. Okay sound is incredibly subjective and we all listen to issues differently, but it does really feel that way to my ears. They have but to melt away in so i am hoping they may settle down, devoid of getting a lot more bass large. The bass is not booming at all, it is just slightly elevated. Total, the influence it generates, is a incredibly warm tone. I wouldn’t say these earphones are flat thanks to this colourisation but all earphones, headphones seem to be to have their own audio signature both far too a lot bass, or raised mids and many others.

First of all i may possibly say i am a really huge focal fanboy getting focal elite k2’s in my automobile, so i looked forward to the sphear’s arrival. I’ve owned them a couple of months now, i’ve shed them the moment now and panicked i might shed £90 ear buds, only for them to exhibit up a several days afterwards. My musical taste is mainly edm – specially deadmau5, but i go all the way through the spectrum to country, classical, opera, jazz, and metal. The sphears pull off a fantastic sound no make any difference what they are asked to produce. You feel the bass, highs and mids are high quality as well. My only gripe is they are as well major and truthfully you should not in shape easily. I like to force them way into the ear canal – and i are unable to feel to get these in near plenty of. Forgiving this, they however sound awesome and are certainly really worth the dollars.

For a ‘normal’ music listener these headphones are excellent, with detailed sound and pretty confortable.

The best earphones i’ve heard. After being so impressed with the focal spirit pro closed back heqdphones, i decided to replace my bose earphones with the focal sphears. For the price (£99) my expectations were only so high. I expected good but not the same league as the spirits. Features wise it is a single button so no volume control. A slight pain but good enough. The cables feel a little thin so they need to be handled with a little care. There is a good selection of ear plug styles and sizes so everyone should get ones to fit. I have odd eardrums so use a different type in each ear but it works just great.

Great sound, minimal isolation. The sound is very good if not a little bright. I found it difficult to get a good fit with the supplied foam and silicone tips as the driver is quite large and the plugs aren’t long enough for my ears. I used the plugs from my old grado earphones and they fit well and the phones are very comfortable. There is very little noise isolation which may or may not be important to some.

Graet sound and holds very well in ears. Great deep soundsi usually have problems with in ear headset that would never hold properly. This one is perfect, the plugs are in a material and shape that holds very well and properly isolates from noisy environment.

The new king of the sub £100 segment – quite frankly outstanding. I was wondering when someone was going to de-throne the sennheiser momentum m2 in-ear as the top in-ear headphone in the sub £100 price range. I wasn’t expecting it to be focal, who are more known for their speakers than their headphones. But boy, the focal sphear does clean up in this bracket. I’ve been a/b testing the focal and the sennheiser m2s and the focal comes out on top in every aspect. Backgroundthe mic on my sennheiser m2 momentum in-ear broke, so i was looking for the best in-ear headphone under £200 i could find. The competition- since i needed headphones that would work on android, that ruled out rha t20, since the only version with a mic is for ios. Ditto for b&w c5 s2, ios only. If you’re looking for a headphone for iphone, i’d add those two options to the shortlist. Well, your options are fewer. – the bose qc 20 come in just under £200, but since i own multiple noise cancelling headphones, including the bose qc 25, i didn’t feel the need for yet another nc headphone. If you don’t have a noise cancelling headphone, have £200 to spare and would use them for travel – the bose qc 20 are a no-brainer. – i was looking for a well-sounding headphone that does the music justice, giving as life-like representation as possible (can you see how much i’m trying to avoid using the word “audiophile”?). My search limited it to sennheiser’s m2 momentum in-ear (to replace the pair i have), or to try the focal sphear.

Would give this five stars for sound and build quality (both excellent and a real step up from the earphones i had used previously in the £30-40 range) but i’ve had to knock one star off because of the significant sound bleed. So it depends how much of an issue that is for you (ie whether you expect to spend a lot of time listening to the in libraries or quiet offices).

Earphones were just like other reviews mentioned; very comfortable even when worn for long hours. The button control would’ve been better with volume toggler but that’s just one minor gripe. The build feels good though i must say i thought the earphones were smaller; the driver and buttons seemed to be larger than pictured in focal’s official photos.
