De’Longhi Magnifica EAM3500 Automatic Cappuccino/ Espresso Maker : Simply delightful

Bean-to-Cup Coffee Machines
1

I debated long and challenging to shell out this type of funds on a espresso machine, wow it is fab, worth each and every solitary penny. Very easy to use and makes cafe regular espresso, has great range of espresso making ie:can have potent to mild, fab milk frothing for warm chocolate. Remarkably advocate far superior than any other we have had in the past5 star.

Like so a lot of other folks, the considered of shelling out 600 lbs . on a coffee machine was the principal rationale i hesitated in getting the magnifica just after very first viewing it at the fantastic food stuff demonstrate in birmingham previous 12 months. I was ‘up and running’ inside of 50 % an hour of opening the box and have not seemed back considering that. If you are serious about your coffee, this is the machine for you.

Acquiring been the owner of eight diverse types of espresso maker in new periods and a short while ago acquired the magnifica and i have to say this leaves the many others miles driving. I have attempted filters, pods, grinding my own beans and so forth. All of which were being ok, but for basic simplicity of use and freshness this is great. Extremely very simple to use and reprogramme to provide the portions of espresso, coffee & milk or just frothed milk you want. The milk frothing technique won’t get any less difficult to use or to thoroughly clean and retailer. Use the suitable milk and settings and the froth layer will very last appropriate to the conclude of the cup. If you like seriously refreshing tasting espresso this is a leading machine. Here are the specifications for the De’Longhi Magnifica EAM3500 Automatic Cappuccino/ Espresso Maker:

  • Double boiler system
  • Digital display
  • Integrated adjustable coffee grinder

Purchased this machine following paying at least three many years lusting immediately after several models, mainly the gaggia titanium and so on and then the jura variations. Getting put in a good deal of time poking about the equipment on screen in john lewis, residence of fraser etcetera i was normally horrified at the blend of substantial charge and genuinely affordable, nasty plasticky layouts and parts (siemens appeared to be the worst. I thought of a nespresso device but could not deal with getting to purchase pods on the web all the time at 26p a cup. Furthermore a bean-to-cup device suggests no pods likely into landfill. This is just not confronted with steel like the gaggia (whilst i am told the innards are all fundamentally the similar whichever device you get). Nevertheless, following applying this just one for a though i’ve been continually impressed with the style, the espresso it will make and the relieve of servicing. You you should not have to faff about frothing milk in a different container (and then washing it up afterwards and wiping the nozzle etc etcetera) – there’s a created in jug that does it for you which you can then acquire off and shop in the fridge. You can put together a top notch cappucino just by pressing a one button.

I have owned this device for 2 months now. I continue to cant justify the expense but i am more than it . The equipment is sooooo easy to use, it cleans alone and tells you what to do, and when .It would make wonderful black espresso which is what i drink, even though the frothed milk isn’t really up to a great deal. Only difficulty now is i have to have a get in touch with in the rainforest alliance to continue to keep me supplied with espresso beans. A single draw back, in the united states this equipment is equipped with two milk containers for either latte or cappucino, here in the uk we only get the cappacino lid. You can get the latte lid from the us delonghi web page but you have to have an handle in the us or canada.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • A very good machine, heavily used
  • First Impressions
  • Liked it so much I bought two

Ok, i have now owned this device because july 2008, and i am a truly careful individual, so i wait around until i have carried out the reviews and had the expeience. I have owned numerous espresso machines, and usually experienced the ‘gadgets’, so here is my reviewthe device is huge and sound. A minimal amazed at the total of plastic in the development, but yet i can say it’s nicely constructed, and accomplished with goal (largely maintenace and cleansing). The grinder is a minimal noisy, but does the occupation seriously nicely as it can make a wonderful cup of coffee. The cleansing is uncomplicated, and takes no more than 5 to ten minutes each and every week, the filters are easy to take out and set back as is the coffee bin. If you like ‘just coffee’, it is really wonderful, i am a actually actually content customer. What i do not like about this machine is the disappointing froth maker. The autocappicino maker is the principal cause that i purchased this design, as i adore my hot drinks, but the froth is not consider and does not last. I have altered the suggested semi-skimmed to complete-body fat, and this offers a meatier froth, but continue to not the authentic-offer, thus i have kept my la pavoni, which i think about a portion of my family for the steamer arm.

We can all be accused of buying a gadget which ends up in the cupboard or the charity shop, like the breadmaker or whatever but i use this every day and it produces a great espresso etc. Well made and easy to operate.

You can get the latte lid from the us delonghi site but you have to have an address in the us or canada.

Too often you read “rave” reviews on an item from people still in the after-glow of initial purchase, and it’s only after a few weeks of ownership that the down-sides become aparent, by which time the rave-review has been posted. Well, i have deliberately not reviewed this item until it has been in our kitchen for 2 months in which time it has been in constant use, and i really can’t think of a down-side. It’s even got a name (dillon, the de longhi)it’s easy to use, and makes great coffee (cappacino, expresso, americanas, etc) as well as frothy milk (the kids love it). There’s an automatic self-cleaning rinse cycle on start-up and shut-down so its always clean, the back-lit lcd display tells you when to fill with water / load beans / empty grouts / de-scale / etc, and it even has a warming plate on top to warm your cup. Expensive, but well worth the money – highly recommended.

Liked it so much i bought two. I bought this nachine for a small office. Prior to seeing this machine demonstrated i had been put off because of the health and safety aspects of handling milk. There are loads of machines producing good espresso, but what about the milk frothing, and cleaning the steam wand afterwards?.(don’t even get me started on those nasty dried milk pods, artificial frothing agents or microwave milk) the clever thing about this machine is that instead of dunking a steam wand into the cold milk, and having to deal with the milk residue on the wand, the milk and steam are combined inside the machine and the hot frothy milk is delivered straight out of the machine into the cup. You then remove the plug-in milk jug and put the cold milk back in the fridge. There is also a ‘back-steam’ facility for cleaning the milk tube from the inside. The other feature i like is that you can cater for decaff drinkers without faffing around changing the beans. You can have the hopper full of normal beans, but use the ‘pre-ground coffee’ port to get a one-off cup of decaff (or vice versa of course)i saw this machine demonstrated twice in a local store but baulked at the £699 price tag.

Having been the owner of 8 different types of coffee maker in recent times and recently purchased the magnifica and i must say this leaves the others miles behind. I’ve tried filters, pods, grinding my own beans etc. All of which were okay, but for simple ease of use and freshness this is excellent. Very simple to use and reprogramme to deliver the quantities of coffee, coffee & milk or just frothed milk you wish. The milk frothing system doesn’t get any easier to use or to clean and store. Use the right milk and settings and the froth layer will last right to the end of the cup. If you like really fresh tasting coffee this is a top machine.

Although hesitant at ordering a capuccino/espresso machine that cost so much i can say that it is truly worth every bit i paid for it. Years of separate espresso machines, coffee machines, grinders, frothing milk attachments and their individual headaches are gone with this exceptional piece of equipment. The delonghi eam3500 makes gorgeous espresso and cappucino with virtually no effort. I was thrilled with the ease of setup, honestly having a hot cappucino in front of me within 10 minutes of delivery – really is *that* simple. While it is expensive, quality separates cost as much and they don’t do it all from bean to cup as this does. As an added bonus, my children absolutely love the milk frothing option for making hot cocoa as and when they’d like. It’s so easy to attach, use, clean, and detach the milk carafe (for storage in the fridge) that they’re not only making their hot cocoa’s but also cappucino’s for my wife and i in the morning. Lovely :)if you enjoy your coffee you will love this machine. It is virtually maintenance free and tells you what’s required intuitively.

Delonghi eam3500 coffee maker. As with most of the reviews i read before buying this coffee maker, i thought it was a lot of money to spend upfront, however, i have now been using this machine for a few weeks and i love it, the ease of setting it up, the perfect cappuccino, the perfect coffee of your choice and strength. It it isn’t designed to make a whole jug of coffee, but that suits me better, i used to make a whole jug with my old machine due to the effort required to make the coffee in the first place, but ended up throwing a lot out. This machine does a cup at a time. If i want coffee and my husband wants tea, he simply uses the ‘hot water tap’ button on the machine to fill his mug and uses a tea bag. The whole thing is effortless, it’s not too big to sit on my kitchen side, it looks great. I haven’t used the ground coffee facility as yet, i have only used beans,(i must add that i have never used beans before) but the instructions are very easy if you prefer to use ground coffee. The milk jug idea with this machine is perfection, you simply attach the jug to the machine, press ‘cappuccino’ and it makes a perfect cappuccino, heating up only the milk required via a seperate chamber and then the rest of the milk goes back in the fridge (after pressing the ‘clean’ button to ensure the spout in the milk jug remains clean) how easy is that . The machine rinses automatically when you switch it on and when you switch it off. I could rave on and on about this machine as i am so happy with it, so if you can get over the initial cost, in my opinion you won’t be dissappointed.

I first used a coffee perculator that was given as a wedding present in 1951, in fact we had two. Since then i have tried (until now without success) to make a decent cup of coffee. I have asked dozens of times why does a restaurant serve coffee that i cannot make, and the answer is that a restaurant makes coffee with freshly ground beans. This coffee machine grinds fresh beans and makes the coffee in no time at all. The permutations (not perculations) are brilliant. Variations from extra mild to extra strong, and cappucchino at the touch of a single button. It tells the time, and lets you know every process that it takes. It tells you when the water needs re-filling, the beans need replacing, when its rinsing etc.

I was very surprised by how good this machine is. It replaced my gaggia classic which incidentally made excellent espresso, so i was a little reluctant to replace it. Great espresso with a great crema. This machine comes highly recommended by me.

I debated long and hard to spend this kind of money on a coffee machine, wow it is fab, worth every single penny. Very easy to use and produces restaurant standard coffee, has great range of coffee making ie:can have strong to mild, fab milk frothing for hot chocolate. Highly recommend far better than any other we have had in the past5 star.

A very good machine, heavily used. I got this for making coffees at church, and it was a good investmenti have this machine used to make about 15 coffees on a sunday, every sunday for the past year. Every week its been taken out, used cleaned and put away by different people. The great thing about it is it tells you what to do and isn’t wrong, it tells you to fill beans, remove grounds, fill tank etc. The difficult thing is possibly cleaning it and cleaning the jug or rather the top of the jug if milk gets up there. But i still rate this machinethe grinder is a little noisy, but then you are getting freshly ground coffee. As well as good coffee it makes awesome hot chocolate (ie use the frothy milk function, you have to stir in the choc yourself)the coffee is consistant, crema head every time, i’ve had to descale it once (its asking again though)things that went wrongthis is not something i am particularly aggrieved at because it could have been user error. But was covered by warrantee-dont take out the infuser (middle bit) and switch the machine on, the bit for locking it will disappear up into the machine. I am still not entirely sure how this happened but delonghi sorted it out ok.Just follow the instructions it should be okthe water tank (removable) has a magnet (or something) in the bottom which is used to tell you whether it needs refilling, should it come/break off while washing the tank, you are in trouble as it will say “fill tank” and not workwe managed to damage the jug handle for the milk as well (in some way) dont know how, could be a stress fracture design fault, but certainly a minor one, it costs about [.

Having paid more than i would ever imagined for a coffee m/c especially one that was made of plastic i decided to delay submitting a review till after three months. Iwould recomend this m/c to any one who likes a good cup of coffee and not much work as this m/c does everything for you automatically and the instructions for same could be followed by a five year old the only thing you have to do is put the beans in the m/c and empty the drip tray when required.

Having took a risk with this rather expensive coffee machine and i was very very surprised. The build is solid as you would expect from delonghi. Its a dream to setup and with a push of a few buttons its all over. Which in a way is quite disappointing. When you pay this much money you sort of wish you weren’t making your first coffee in the first 5 mins. Maintainence of the coffee machine is excellent, with easy to clean drip tray and used coffee bin. The provision of a “plug-in” milk holder gives this coffee machine the real edge. You can store the whole unit in the fridge. When you are ready for a cappuccino you simply get the milk storage unit out of the fridge, slot it in and press one button.
