DDPai mini2 Wi-Fi Dash Cam HD 1440P : Very good overall build quality

Quite impressive dash cam, nicely produced and wonderful price. A person week into owning this dash-cam and i am pretty impressed with it. It has a pretty easy, but durable layout which is non-obtrusive, comes with all the cables that you need to have to established it up and the accompanying computer software (on your phones’ app shop) is effective suprisingly well. I expended a extended time hunting all around on amazon for a great dash cam and lastly settled on this one particular as:- it was a excellent price- the mount does not count on a suction cup and is short (that means that there is very tiny room for flex) so the digital camera is solidly mounted to the car or truck, minimising shaking- there is no monitor to distract you (quite a few dash cams have a display screen that you have to convert off manually each individual time)- great high quality picture sensor (from sony)- the larger brother to this device (the ddpai m6+) is really highly rated ([.)installation:i was worried that i might have to hard-wire this camera to my car, however i thought i would give it a go first. The camera comes with a very long usb cable that is just long enough in my car (2016 ford focus) to reach the power socket under the arm rest. I routed the cable around the top of the windscreen (using the supplied sticky clips – which are great) and then i tucked the cable down through the door pillar trim and around the bottom of the glove box. The camera also comes with a very convenient 12 volt socket to 2-way usb adaptor which i leave plugged in at all times. As my car turns off this socket approximately 20 minutes after the car has been turned off, it gives me some form of parking protection as well. Usage:to get videos off the camera, you simply have to be in range. ]

What a amazing dash cam, definitely worthy of the dollars, it seems trendy, even the box it will come in appears to be like high-priced, and owning an app to set it up and use whilst the digital camera is recording is wonderful, and there is also a wi-fi capture button to put where you wish, i messaged the vendor with a few of questions and they replied very immediately with amazing explanations, i would absolutely advocate both equally the dash cam and the seller a☆ for both equally.

Extremely fantastic over-all make good quality. Incredibly superior over-all construct good quality, not your typical chinese item. The graphic is not as crisp as with a gopro, for occasion, but the form issue is excellent. I experienced an problem with downloading movies from the cam, but after a quick reset every little thing will work wonderful. Excellent buyer services from the guys at ddpai – they replied my e-mails inside of several hours trying to help sort out the problem in advance of i figured out a speedy reset would do it. The application could use some tweaks but total i’m very happy. I requested a individual obd2 to micro-usb cable to continue to keep wires out of sight. Here are the specifications for the DDPai mini2 Wi-Fi Dash Cam HD 1440P:

Really satisfied, exceptional digital camera. . I have had a several dashcams more than the decades and this is the greatest. The decider was the wifi connectivity with the application. I was a little bit sceptical at initial as other cheap wifi cameras with applications have been inadequate but this has been ideal. Extremely pleased and would absolutely advocate it. I might even get a further for the rear.

I have acquired it in the again window for all those idiot tailgaters.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Very good overall build quality
  • Very impressive dash cam, well made and great value
  • Good value. Feels solid and well made

Best dashcam for this price.  super nice packaging, far above the average chinese electronics, did some research, found out ddpai is a famous brand in china. Have used for about one week. Great resolution for both daytime and night, sunny or cloudy weather.

Its cheaper then the last one and better screen image size. I had a different dash-cam and it played up,so after searching the internet and going through the forums. Its cheaper then the last one and better screen image size. I recommended this to a friend, it is plain on the out side (discrete), which is a good thing. I don’t want a flashing light telling everyone that i have a dash-cam in my car i can see everything via the app on my mobile phone, it has all the bells and whistles in a plain case wow. Please check it out on you-tube. I have taken the time to fit the wiring out of sight, the cables are not very long, but long enough for the front one to reach my power point (even after hiding it along the roof line and down the door, under the dash and under the center console to the cigarette lighter point). The rear cable is too short to reach the front of my estate car, but i have a power point in the back.

This review is from : DDPai mini2 Wi-Fi Dash Cam HD 1440P(2K), Night-vision, 140° Wide Angle, Loop Recording, G-sensor, Built-in Supercapacitor, Remote Snapshot Button, Parking Guard, Storage Up To 128GB;

Nice looking but poorly thought out design and weak wifi. . Whilst build quality and picture are good the wifi connection is poor. The camera is very slow to connect to ios phone. Having connected the app is “awkward” and is continuously upgrading firmware. It’s a shame to have these product problems as i like the design and discrete profile of the camera. One more downside is once the camera is stuck to the windscreen it can’t be removed without unsticking the whole thing. I hesitate to recommend this camera.

There is some 1 star rating that people could not acces video or stop camera from welcoming you every time saying: “hello, ding ding pai”. There is jo button for record as camera will start recording automatically when plugged in so don’t see a point of extra button, same applies to an app as to access camera through an app, camera needs to be on therefore is recording. Well those morons don’t know how to use an app, learn it. There are no instructions for most apps in the world but this one is quite easy to operate. Connect to camera through wifi, access an app and you see what is where. Had no problems to understand all functions and settings. You can turn off welcoming message, set parking mode and stut off time if you use camera 24/7 plugged in fuse box. I have it like that and it is recording fine, extra button to trigger 30 sec protected file is very handy. In the box you find lovely compact camera, long cable with 90’ connector and usb car charger.

Record every thing in the journey. Cheaper than the build in one. The best thing is i can use it in any of my cars. A very happy purchase 👍🏼.

Bought this for my wife’s car. A mobius unit would not fit properly on it. This is fine in some respects: picture quality, night vision etc but the app to program it is very hit and miss. I have to unplug my wi-fi and switch off data on my phone to get it to connect the amount of permissions needed by the app seems excessive and it looks like it is hoovering up user data etc off my phone so i have a privacy issue with this. I did put it on a motorola phone but the app is incompatible with it for some reason. The mobius is much easier to program on the computer. Personally the app is unnecessary and i would prefer to be able to connect it to my computer for programming. The other thing that annoys me is that if you are mounting it to the top of the windscreen the cable that comes with it turns down at a 90 degree angle and unless you are dropping it vertically down the windscreen you end up with a 180degree turn on the cable not a deal breaker but messy.

Very discreet, replacement for a previous dash cam which broke, i chose this one as it’s sleek and fits in well in my car, and i was sold at controlling/viewing via my phone rather than having to wait and use my pc/laptop. Very great quality, separate button is stuck behind my steering wheel for quick access to take a picture. Quality of recordings is customisable to however you’d like, i have it at the highest quality. Already been back a few times to review footage and can easily see what’s going on, read numberplates in either day/night situations.

Actually using this as a cctv cam, small, discrete and good picture quality. Was able to use the footage to catch someone trying my car door handle and the footage helped the police identify the culprit.

The image quality is good enough to read number plates at 30 yards , which is what i wanted. The remote button works perfectly. My new samsung s3 2017 would not connect to the camera , so i had to go back to using my old samsung s3. Overall very pleased with this dash camera. Since writing this review the s3 2017 phone had some updates and now works fine.

Very nice packaging and neat install, very discrete. Downside is that there is much glare/reflection. It does not have a glare filter available as an option. I chose this over the a119s as it is a bit more modern (micro rather than mini usb). Screen glare is affecting video making it unclear. Have tried in other parts of windscreen and this is the best i can get. Blue band is a sun strip which means that the camera is invisible from the outside. Remote button to ‘snap’ incidents is excellent feature, when pressed it stores the previous 5 secs and the next 5 secs of video. I used a 1gb card to start with and that quickly filled and errored. Now have a 32gb class 10 card which means that it doesn’t need to be thought about. Cables are routed behind trim to the glovebox and am powering it on the usb cable (xc90) so all is hidden away. There is a new model (mini2p) that has just been released.

Love this camera, excellent quality, snapshot photos and stays connected to your phone without interfering with your 3/4g.

Ddpai mini 2good• very light, small and stealthy, easy to hide away• nice black finish, discreet• app is very easy to use (ios)• english feedback which is a bonus (something that the m6 plus suffers from)• amazing video quality for the price point• capacitor based power – excellentcould be better• no cpl filters available (or that i’ve been able to find)• it would be better if the mini 2 could slide on/off the mount like the thinkware f770• no way to remove the camera easily (it is permanently fixed via a 3m pad) means that you need to sit in your car downloading videos, would be better to be able to remove the camera and power it at home, adjust settings, download videos• i have read on various forums that the firmware can be updated via the app, but i’ve not been able to find a way to do this yet and if you need to connect this to a pc you have to remove the mount. • right or/left angle usb given that the power socket is on the side would be better• the fact that the camera cannot rotate all the way around prevented me from mounting my mini on the back of mirror, which is where i ideally wanted to place it. The maximum left and right angles available meant that i could not see the road. If the charging between the camera and the mount was magnetic it could rotate fully and offer more flexible mounting options• the distance between the “clicks” when rotated are too far and need to be closer together to make sensitive adjustment possible• the cover over the sd card feels like it could easily break off over time• usb c in future would make connection easier as the plug would always be the right side up• would be nice if the camera could be mounted vertically and then you could flip the video in the app, the same way that you can with left and right, this would increase mounting options and usage• gps would have been a nice option, but it would have increased the size and power consumptioni will be using this camera as a rear mounted camera with my m6 plus as both came linked together to provide simultaneous front and rear video which is a nice touch. So a all in all a very, very good dashcam, great video footage, fantastic app, nice packaging and fantastic value for money. Didn’t get a full 5 stars as i think there are a few small things that could make this the perfect dashcam, but again this is down to my own personal reference. Lastly, a word about the seller. Who have been nothing short of fantastic, they have answered all of the questions that i have thrown at them, promptly and politely.
