Creative Sound BlasterX Katana Multi-Channel Gaming Soundbar, I’m going to enjoy watching some favourite films again with these, epically great speakers!

Soundbar Speakers
1

I am comparing this sound bar with my existing harman/kardon soundsticks wireless bluetooth led desktop sound speaker process with twin satellite speakers. These i procured in 2013 and they are nonetheless brilliant as the day i fitted them. So how does the creative katana match up. Well they are a whole lot more simple to install not demanding a sound card at all but plug straight into a usb port on the back of my pc. There are other solutions as the again of the sound bar has connections for optical, headphones, mic in and aux in as properly as becoming ready to plug a usb push that contains your own new music or seems. The program is sleek and suits nicely on my desk in between my two monitors. Various options permit for coloured lights to be exhibited on the bottom of the sound bar – this is truly seriously wonderful and not at all tacky. The system will come finish with the sub-woofer and a distant manage to empower or adjust most of the options. There is also a desktop icon that will let you to adjust several options from you computer.

Great product works perfectly and appears fantastic.

If you don’t have a complete amp and encompass sound speaker set up, this could nicely be the answer you are hunting for without having breaking the financial institution. With stunning sound and plenty of quantity to virtually shake the home windows, this is a beast of a sound bar. I analyzed this 1st with some pink floyd and pretty much moist myself with pleasure. The sound is genuinely astounding, even with no a focused sound card. Creative simply call this an under keep track of audio system (umas). I imagine which is a minimal optimistic, it is really additional of a ‘sits a little bit in front of a enormous screen’. one set up, but with the clever style and design you get digital seven. 1 which, even though not perfect, does a incredibly fantastic career.

I earlier experienced some creative gigaworks t40’s for my pc speaker setup and though it was really great it was missing in the bass office. I browse a handful of testimonials on the creative sbx katana and picked up a established. I was not anticipating this, the level audio fidelity is unbelievable. Loud, prosperous and space filling sound phase. The passive subwoofer that comes with this packs a significant punch. Oh and rgb lights for that further fanciness. I could not be happier with this and completely really worth the significant selling price tag.

Creative Sound BlasterX Katana Multi-Channel Gaming Soundbar : A great addition to your tv, gaming and computer experience. . This looks a bit over the top in the packaging supplied – all power imagery and game-centred, but once extracted from the voluminous packaging it works very well as a premium sound bar when attached to your tv even if, like me, you are not a gamer. You’ll need an optical out cable to attach your tv to the box (very reasonable prices on amazon), but the set up is very straightforward if you follow the images on the supplied info sheet. Nevertheless, some sort of manual with written instructions should be provided by creative, especially to answer questions not covered in the brief info sheet (such as use of bluetooth) and to give fuller information on the system’s capabilities. The woofer box is quite large but can be hidden behind your tv or even behind some nearby furniture if necessary. The lead to the main box is pretty long to allow this. The box itself will sit behind or under your tv. Once set up the various settings and levels take some time to get to your own preferences, and you can vary these depending upon what you are watching and/or doing with your tv, computer or gaming unit. You can have the lights on or off. Having watched a couple of films and tv progs with this connected it has certainly extended and deepened the range of sounds, music and effects. It’s also possible to set it loud enough to get the all-enveloping loud ‘cinema effect’, but warn your neighbour first.

Sounds very good for its size. Been using a logitech z5500 for many years on my pc and wanted a cleaner setup. I went with this and what a surprise, sounds very good for its size, outstanding even. I didn’t like the rgb much, not one of those type of people but can turn it off using the software. Only issue i have found is the remote provided with the unit works when it wants to, not sure if the supplied battery is duff or what, but it isn’t very good.

Blimey, i am literally blown away with this sound bar, the sound is superb, i am no audiophile or expert in anyway but i can tell you that the sound that you get from this relatively small device to me at least sound like it’s coming from a larger much more expensive system. I love the rgb lighting and the bass is awesome. The software is very comprehensive and allows a lot of find tuning to the eq amongst other things. I would defo recommend this to anyone.

No buyers remorse, love it. . Expensive impulse buy (wanted some better speakers for a small office). I was moving up from a basic but decent stereo speaker set up and the difference is night and day. I’m no audio expert but the sound is just gloriously rich and clean, the sub adds a lot of bass while the soundbar is just wow. I’ve read reviews for this praising its ‘wide soundstage’ etc and i can actually understand what they mean, it just fills the room with great sound. I was especially skeptical about 2. 1 producing surround sound but it works. This will be my main pc speaker for the foreseeable future.

Soundbars or ‘under monitor audio systems’ are designed to enhance sound coming out of built-in tv speakers that due to physical limitations of vastly reduced space in ever more flattening screens are sounding thinner and thinner. They are also a very convenient space saving solutions for those not willing to clutter their living space with 5 (or 7) separate speakers needed for proper surround sound setup since most of them produce virtual surround sound. They have come a long way since having just one tv input, offering wireless streaming, bluetooth connectivity and usb playback, while this one, aimed mainly at the gaming market, has additional line and mic connectors for gaming headphones. Inside the box is the bar itself with a separate subwoofer, power adapter, usb cable, remote and manuals. As one would expect at this price range, it is really well built, solid and looks great. Additional feature are the lights at the bottom (programable via pc app) that i did find rather gimmicky, but fortunately, it can be switched off. All controls are on the top (on/off, bluetooth, volume, source and effects) while all the connectors are at the back, including those for headphones. Subwoofer has to connected via the cable and if using the headphones there are going to be a lot of cable-fiddling and positioning. While usb is a nice addition to provide playback from a flash drive, it is missing hdmi input, so if your tv doesn’t have toc (optical) output, that might be a problem.

I had to ditch my philips ambx after. I had to ditch my philips ambx after 6 years when it became faulty, there is nothing on the market now a days to compare for gaming and a lights show. The creative katana i chose, was to cut down on clutter, it is the first sound bar i have had, and it is very impressive. Great sound and very adjustable, especially the base mode. The lights are a very nice addition, but nothing like the ambx, but i knew that anyway. Although i would have liked to be able to have the lights change with the music, if that’s available i can’t find it on the downloaded software. As good as the sound is, there is still no definitive separation on the speakers, this is more noticeable on older music were they used the left and right channels a lot. Also noticeable on many games, so you don’t get the frightening weird noises from different directions the same.

If you don’t have a full amp and surround sound speaker setup, this could well be the answer you are looking for without breaking the bank. This sound blaster really does live up to its name – the sound is astonishing. – and does a really good job of providing something resembling surround sound without the multitude of speakers and wire you usually need. It’s amazingly easy to set up and use, and can be used for a range of media, not just for gaming. It also comes with some brackets for wall mounting, but the sturdy and surprisingly compact unit sits neatly by the monitor and makes you fell part of the sound world.

Great first attempt at pc sound bar from soundblaster. The instructions were very basic, they just involve pictures and a lot of numbers, which have no text referencing to them. In the first image it is unclear what can be plugged in to the speaker and in which port- mainly in relation to a screen and a laptop. The pictures don’t really represent the objects well, and what i assume to be a tv screen could also be a computer screen, but i am not sure. Generally the instructions are easy to follow, but as mentioned they are just pictures, and an explanation would help?the set up was easy, you simply plug it in and turn it on. It only worked initially by using the remote, but once that was set up it was all working fine. The main speaker is very clear; it produces a good quality sound regardless of music type. The subwoofer is however questionable. I had to put my ear to the speaker with it very loud (thorough the main speaker) to check if it was actually working. This was with the bass turned up to full; it was working, but it is just very quiet.

Really great sound bar, with led light from edge to edge. . This is a serious bit of kit, upon taking it out the vast packaging and studying al the various components the set up was quite straight forward. The lack of optical cable and a decent manual lead me to give it 4*. I’m not a technical minded sort of person and a good easy to follow booklet would have been appreciated. The optical cable i needed to connected my tv. Would have cost next to nothing and could so easily been added to the box in order that i didn’t have to travel the twenty four miles round trip to collect one from a well known store. The sound bar has a aurora reactive lighting system, where its base is lined with 49 programmable led lights from edge to edge. The aurora reactive lighting system comes in 16. 8 million colours for you to customise your ambience lighting effects to create your own unique profile that elevates your gaming and movie experience, should you wish. I however haven’t felt the need to customise the lighting and am quite happy with the colours that appear when it’s switched on.

I’m going to enjoy watching some favourite films again with these, epically great speakers. Absolutely awesome, just like being at the cinema, the room shakes with the bass, adds a new dimension to any films you havepretty easy to set up especially if you have optical out on your tv, watching the second hulk film with them as i type this and it sounds incrediblei cannot recommend these enough, the lights i thought would distract but i don’t mind them and they can be turned off anyway, i am absolutely stunned at this incredible speaker system, i’m literally feeling like a 9-year-old watching the incredible hulk the incredible hulk [blu-ray] [region free] fantastic.

And some surprising extras (which i will mention). It’s so easy for vine members to give out 5 stars for products that aren’t worthy. Firstly i had to get an optical cable as there isn’t one supplied. With all the items out of the box it looks complicated.

Bass speaker contains the controls etc) so when i saw this come out i was pleased. Now i’ve got it home i’ve found that. Require a replacement for my old cambridge soundworks 5. 1 system, where the optical input was starting to play up and i found that the vast majority unsuitable (no optical input, bass speaker contains the controls etc) so when i saw this come out i was pleased. Now i’ve got it home i’ve found that it can take the place of my echo when i’m on my computer (a sensible logical add on) and the audio itself is good quality with little or no distortion (on occasions i’ve not realised it was playing as loud as it was until swmbo has buzzed me on the internal tele system, whoops). The only thing is that i haven’t found a way to imitate 5. 1 sound, with the old system it was literally push 2 buttons and it was there, even with the optical lead, not so with this even though some of the reviews imply you can. In real terms it was cheaper than my previous systemgood quality audio but as for it managing to create a 5. That just leaves the leds, don’t know what they’re supposed to do but they are colourful. Big question would i purchase another. Probably as the price is reasonable and it is a tidy little unit, no wires running around the room so swmbo has one less thing to moan about (for that alone it’s worth the 5 stars).

It does require updates but after upgrading to win 10 beforehand, i discovered my wife done is useless requiring a newer model, well that’s for another review soon lol. It set up ok, as somebody indicated the bass is a bit tinny much like my old creative system but it is much louder and clearer than my neighbours could possibly bear. Music sounds good but not really when using eq presets, i can’t find a middle of the road sound yet so i just tune myself using the sliders. I haven’t tried miles yet, waiting for a new 4k monitor on back order for a month. My only complaint is lack of manual. I have not figured out how to customize the dislay name “comouter” for instance, it is not intuitive, same for bluetooth access which i also haven’t tried yet from my phone. My old soundblaster is about 10 now and still going strong so hopefully this will be good too.
