Had fitted into the car and works really well. Cameras should be in new cars as standard now.

Best dash cam and very reliable.

Good quality picture but the cloud feature is extremely misleading. Good quality picture but the cloud feature is extremely misleading. The built in wifi is only to connect your phone to the camera so that you can access the videos. It is notused for recording to the cloud. Recording to the cloud is only possible if you have a mobile hotspot e. On your smart phone, or built in to your car. So if the smart phone is not connected, or ignition is off in your wifi enabled car there is no recording to the cloud. In fact, when i did connect it to my mobile hotspot, once i disconnected i couldn’t even access the videos it recorded while connected to the mobile hotspot.

It does the job that i need. In contrary to some of the negative reviews here, i’ve had no issues with the sticky pad, in fact i found it difficult to remove when i needed to reposition the camera. But once removed, it is best to use a new sticky pad. Just make sure your glass is clean and dry before sticking it on. No issues with the quality of the videos when you stick the sd card directly into your computer. Videos are only jumpy if streamed from your dashcam to your phone via built in wifi. This doesn’t bother me because the design was intended to not have a built in screen so it can be small and discreet. Now for the pros and cons:pros:- small and discreet. – ease of installation really depends on your car. But i’ve had no major issues with installing this myself on a bmw f10, but you do need the right tools to loosen up the pillar covers to hide the cables properly.

Does it’s job perfectly and the ability to remote in to it when it’s in my garage connected to wifi was an unexpected bonus. It does seem to cut the videos in to many smaller parts but i’m assuming thats a setup issue as it seems overly sensitive to some things.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Best dash camera I’ve bought (out of three)
  • This is a great bit of kit
  • It does the job that I need

A few improvements could make this perfect. Please note that my review excludes the cloud functionality as i’ve disabled that feature. The problem with it is that anyone with the ‘blackvue’ app is able to see your location with it turned on. Optionally with the cloud function turned on, you can also allow everyone to view your current view through the dashcam. But again, this can be turned off separately. Pros – great picture quality – easy to install – easy to setup – wifi can be turned on/off easily if you don’t have it on permanently – you can easily mute the camera if you don’t want the audio recorded – more than enough cable provided – easy to reformat the sd card should you need to – impact detection when in parking mode – three recording modes – ‘normal mode’ when its recording while driving. ‘parking mode’ self explanatory. And ‘event mode’ when it thinks there has been a collision. This makes it easy to filter through the 1 minute video clips as you know you’ve looking for a file with the ‘event’ tag in the name of the file. Cons – using the app to transfer video clips to your phone is useless (constantly stops at random percentages and takes ages) – records 1 minute clips only (so if you want 2 minutes of footage, you have to stitch 2 videos together) – with good quality picture, you sacrifice storage space, i have a 64gb sd card and it can’t even fit a full 24 hours in the card (so get that footage quick if you need it) – seems to get quite hot.

The 6th blackburn i’ve purchased and without doubt the best. It does what its supposed to do without. This is the 6th blackburn i’ve purchased and without doubt the best. It does what its supposed to do without fuss. It had only been in a week when some clown reversed into me then denied everything, his insurance played out when they saw the video, without it the wouldn’t have been interested so its paid for itself already.

Fantastic dashcam, second one i have bought as the first one was stolen.
Good camera but still some issues. . The cameras work fine and record as expected however, there are some issues i would like to address. The sticky piece that sticks the camera to the front came off after the first day of use, the sound is s quiet on it, you can barely hear what’s being said unless the engine is off and when i connect to its wifi system, it doesn’t let me use my mobile data which my gopro does let me.

This is a great bit of kit, fitted it my self. The only thing i would say is if your not a techy person may not be the dash cam for you. I love the wifi and the fact i can get it on the iphone.

Have had this for a couple of months now and it’s the best dashcam i have owned. Others i have bought have been cheap chinese rubbish which either didn’t work on arrival or stopped working after a few weeks. I wanted a good quality, discreet, two channel hd dashcam and this fits the bill. It’s a shame the rear camera is not full hd, and the picture on both seems slightly juddery, even at 30fps, when something crosses the path of the camera at right angles, such as when i’m waiting to pull out of a side turning and a car passes across in front of the camera. I guess these are compromises, though, with having two cameras writing to a memory card at the same time. Overall the front camera picture quality is good – great, depending on lighting conditions, and i would say the rear camera is average, but is nevertheless often essential to provide context when an incident occurs, and it is good enough for that. I’m sure the warning beep on my camera, which sounds whenever an event occurs or the max speed setting is exceeded, isn’t right as i get an unpleasant screechy sound rather than a proper beep or warning tone, however i’m not too bothered about this so i just turned it off. I bought a 128gb sd card direct from blackvue for £159 after a friend bought me a class 10 64gb card that didn’t work as it couldn’t record fast enough. The 128gb card should give around 24 hours continuous recording, which for me equates to about 3 days worth of driving/parking.

The most reliable dashcam out there – so far. . The most important thing for a dashcam is that it has to be reliable. I’ve previously had all the highest reviewed dashcams over the past six years for all of my cars. After a while all of them failed – i have a 36 hour battery pack (cellink b – google it) and so my cameras stay on 24/7. I’ve had to do this after my last car was keyed down the side. It’s worked in -5c conditions, and the app makes it pretty easy to transfer footage, although it is slow, over a wifi network. Overnight, in parking mode, i’ve noticed it relies on sounds to activate. The video quality is not the best – overexposed in bright sunlight and cannot register car registrations plates unless a few metres away at night. The front and rear cam set up is straightforward though, and gives an almost 360 piece of mind recording.
