Beyerdynamic T90 High-End Headphones : Well made great sound

Portable Headphones
1

These are excellent headphones, no use outdoors as they are open backed but in the home or in mattress, quite fantastic.

Shame they are not 100% superior at this cost probably they should get leica on board?. Simply let down with the audio excellent, specifically at the price. I linked these to good high-quality hi-fi gear as well – not cheap center of the road gear. I daresay any person will say that you have to travel these with a great deal of power to get the greatest out of them, but i have proved or else and have heard much better headphones at fewer than 50 % the price tag. To day, i have been upset with every single model of beyer that i have listened to so much.

Excellent headphones, specially when applied with the musical fidelity headphone amplifier,a cut price at the latest amazon rate, if you are in the industry for a established of headphones in this rate variety then give these a hear, you’ll be glad you did. Here are the specifications for the Beyerdynamic T90 High-End Headphones:

If they sound terrible, adjust your supply not these. Not likely to bang on about the sound, i am certain if you happen to be reading this you may have done your homework. On the other hand i will alert you about the supply. I guess all the expert reviewers have obtain to top rated top quality resources so they will not notify you, or fear too substantially, about it. I purchased these for my sons birthday and as they were made use of i just plugged these into my dell xps to make confident they had been doing the job. They ended up awful, truly dreadful. Loads of volume, just a weady nasty noise. Wondering i might created an terrible mistake i plugged them into a definitely low cost cell phone – microsoft/nokia £50 factor i experienced lying about – and wowso significantly every single supply is distinct (ipad, xperia, naim, onkyo) so i have just purchased a devoted headphone amp to see if that tends to make a variation with the notebook, i’m guessing it will. Below is a small trick i’d like to share.

Upgrading from my cherished akg k712s (sennheiser 650 before that). Upgrading from my beloved akg k712s (sennheiser 650 just before that), i listened to lots of of the level of competition at highend headphones (bedfordshire uk) together with the beyer t1 & 990 high quality, sennheiser 800, akg 812, many audeze, audio-technica and oppo. These t90s turned out to be greater than all of these and all around half the price or fewer they seem fantastically precise for tunes mastering and a good deal far more clean bass and far more even treble. They even offered a improved price tag than amazon, so i gladly acquired there.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • Love these having come from my great Audio Technica AT900
  • Exceptional Headphones that Suit My Kind of Listening
  • Clear, Crisp and Detailed

I bought these to replace my tesla t1’s that i ruined. Clear, crisp, a good deal of transparency. A obvious but a minimal mild bass, ethereal midrange and diamond clear highs. I do want the t1’s, but i cannot plug those into my ipad or ipodit seems superior on ipad making use of spotify high quality, it sounds superior with tidal hifi, you are likely to want flac or alac to get the best of thesethey sound much better with my asus xonar essence one and really fantastic on the avid m-box proyou can simply listen to the change involving lossy codec’s like mp3 and lossless. I can observe a bit additional depth and heat applying 24bit audio, when listening to noraj jones – feels like household in 24bit 192khz the keep track of dawn has a deep pronounced bass while the piano is vibrant and clear, the vocals are heat. It doesen’t sound harsh in anyway. Metallica – the black album 96/24 – these can’s can rock, listening to the unforgiven, the vocals seem melodic, the separation is respectable the distortion on the guitars doesn’t come to feel pressured, the bass is well defined and apparent, the snare drums occur across sharpthe headphones audio a little bit like respectable flat reaction monitorsthese are first rate headphones, you are unable to conquer them for the value. A good purchase if you want to listen to high definition (studio high quality) audio.

Fantastic- now if you were in the position i was in constantly going through reviews between the senheiser hd650/700 and other models including grado, akg etc wondering if this is worth it, having been a senheiser man for 10 years and switching to these i can say they are superb, however they do have a very similar sound signature but i think these have better instrument separation even without a dac or amp to beef it up. The highs are gorgeous and airy, they can be a bit biting at certain frequencies if not eq’d properly, but the natural space it has is sublime best i’ve ever heardthe mids very neutral, spacious and warm mixes beautifully with the highs, detailed and exciting, the vocals are personal and extremely analyticalthe lows possibly my favourite thing about these, contrary to popular beleif these things pump it out, they are not over pushed like many other cheaper brands where by bass = quality, this is not the case. It gives you exactly what was on the recording and does so perfectly, its tight, warm, crisp and rthymical. 8/10the sound is sublime, it’s the best sound you can get under £1000 in my opinion especially when paired with a decent source, the comfort is next level, they look amazing and most noticeably the ooze good build quality, they feel like reference headphones because they perform like them. Please don’t hesitate, you don’t know what you are missing. B if you are after tonnes of bass look elsewhere, if you are after detail retrieval and sonic accuracy that far belies it’s price then order them.

Love these having come from my great audio technica at900. Love these having come from my great audio technica at900 headphones. The first thing i noticed was the cable which is a little cheap feeling and not very flexible in comparison to my at which had a great cloth covered cable that was very flexible. I connected them to my pc and went through my catalogue of music and must say they sound fantastic. I can pick out every little note and can even hear things i have never heard before like pages being turned in some classical music or guitar strums and voices in others. The sound stage is very airy, where you can pick out where the music is being played in the room compared to where the mic is situated (never heard this before). Over all, very happy with my purchase, but loses a star for the cable.

Marantz cd6006, american audio xeq 152b,beyerdynamic a20. Very open sound, lots of details. Can even hear mistakes on recording also can hear vocalist breathing just before he screams (grip ‘lockdown’ third song). Mids and highs just blowing ears and i have to reduce them on equalizer. The only issue what i have is bass. Because they are open headphones we can’t expect huge bass. But would be nice if they have extra ‘space’ for bass if i can say that. I set volume, set equalizer and the bass is satisfying but in some songs (cllasical, rock, electronic music) are moments when is too much for them.

I bought these to replace my tesla t1’s that i destroyed. Clear, crisp, a lot of transparency. A clear but a little mild bass, airy midrange and diamond clear highs. A good buy if you want to listen to high definition (studio quality) music.

Shame they are not 100% better at this price maybe they should get leica on board?. Simply disappointed with the sound quality, especially at the price. I connected these to good quality hi-fi equipment too – not cheap middle of the road equipment. I daresay somebody will say that you have to drive these with a lot of power to get the best out of them, but i have proved otherwise and have heard better headphones at less than half the price. To date, i’ve been disappointed with every model of beyer that i’ve heard so far.

If they sound awful, change your source not these. Not going to bang on about the sound, i’m sure if you’re reading this you’ll have done your homework. However i will warn you about the source. I guess all the professional reviewers have access to top quality sources so they don’t tell you, or worry too much, about it. I bought these for my sons birthday and as they were used i just plugged these into my dell xps to make sure they were working. They were awful, truly dreadful. Plenty of volume, just a weady nasty noise. Thinking i’d made an awful error i plugged them into a really cheap phone – microsoft/nokia £50 thing i had lying around – and wowso far every source is different (ipad, xperia, naim, onkyo) so i’ve just ordered a dedicated headphone amp to see if that makes a difference with the laptop, i’m guessing it will. Here is a little trick i’d like to share.

On the 7th day he didn’t rest, he pooped and these cans came out. The headphones are phenomenal quality in sound and construct. However i’ve only used them 10minutes before coming on here to review, take that as you will, i could not keep my joy to myself. I hate non-detachable cables however. Despise them and it nearly stopped me from buying these beauties. However, you can cable mod them so all is good and i plan to. They feel like they’re worth triple the price 5*.

Having an orchestra inside your head. Pros: beautiful crisp loudspeaker-like sound, immersive soundstage, fantastic tonality, transparency, comfort, timeless design, pricecons: non-detachable cable, makes you want to go through your music collection once again, nothing else at this pricethese headphones are all about quality. Quality in workmanship and craftsmanship. The moment you take them out of their box you can feel there is something special with them. Personally i have never been so impressed by a pair of headphones before. I really didn’t expect anything near this magnificent performance for $600. I got them used (6 months old) for $220 and it is the best purchase i have ever done in hi-fi. Dare i say that these headphones are probably among top three headphones i’ve ever heard?. Other two being hd800 and stax sr-007. The sound of t90 is very unique and hard to describe. It is a headphone that disappears in its transparency, airiness and great tonality. Listening to classical orchestral pieces really feels like sitting there in the concert hall a couple of rows back. Having the orchestra inside your head. The soundstage is very coherent.

Wonderful headphones, especially when used with the musical fidelity headphone amplifier,a bargain at the current amazon price, if you are in the market for a set of headphones in this price range then give these a listen, you’ll be glad you did.

The build of these headphones is excellent. Nice to look at with their dark metal. The build of these headphones is excellent. Nice to look at with their dark metal grills, comfortable padded headband and a nice large carrying case. Very comfortable to wear with really soft ear pads that are easily big enough to cover your ears. The only minor negative point is that the lead/wire is not overly thick (i like the big chunky grado type lead myself) and is also not detachable for easy replacement or upgrade. Superb and deep bass (lower than most other headphones i have tried), the midrange and vocals are detailed, clear and full without being edgy, just very melodic and not veiled at all. Detail is excellent with a large soundstage where every instrument is easily identified and followed, probably the best i have ever heard for this. Treble is clear, a little brighter than some makes perhaps, although not as fatiguing as the grados.

T90s====the t90s won’t suit everyone. They do sound great particularly for ‘adult’ music. But if classic music is your thing, try them first. Iphone======not ideal for anything that’s underpowered. For use without an amp i’d recommend beyerdynamic t70 premium headphonesbass====if you love your bass, you’ll love these. The sound is full and the bass is accurate and resounding without being too boom boom boom. Instrumental============these have a sound that isn’t perfect if ‘classic’ music is your thing. You may not notice, but i could feel a slightly unfulfilling sound.

Exceptional headphones that suit my kind of listening. By some considerable distance the best headphones i have ever used. To set the context, i was looking for a pair of head-phones that could deliver exceptional musical sound quality when listening at home. I normally listen to classical music of all sorts, especially chamber music and song, on a naim uniti 2 and neat speakers. I use cds, hd flac files and streaming (spotify etc). The sound quality delivered by these beyerdynamic t90 headphones is very similar in character to that which my speakers deliver: very open, accurate and musical, by which i mean acoustic musical instruments and the human voice sound, through the speakers and through these headphones, pretty much identical to how the instrument or voice would sound if it were playing/singing in the room you are listening in. To me that is essentially what i look for in musical reproduction. Am i hearing something that i can honestly say i would be hearing at a live event. Apart from the excellent musical performance of these headphones, they are extremely comfortable with the soft cushions completely surrounding the ear. Being of aluminium construction, they are light and strong and appear to be well constructed.

A pair of headphones that cost half of what they’re actually worth. . I cannot believe there’s another reviewer who said the build quality of the akg k702 is better than these. We’re talking about plastic (akg k702) vs solid metal (beyerdynamic t90); and the audio quality is better than anything under 500 pounds. After owning numerous headphones (including the aforementioned k702), i can say these are definitely keepers.

T90 – a tesla successor to the dt990?. Due its fully open design, i opted for the t90 & passed on the closed t70. I’m a fan of the old dt990 & really like its fun signature, so i assumed the tag of “t90” denoted “fun signature” in beyer’s tesla range, my thinking being that it would compliment my neutral sounding t1. However, if you’re coming to the t90 from the dt990, you’ll need to banish any thoughts that the t90 is a successor to the dt990. To my ears at least, it’s an entirely different headphone. Just like sennheiser’s hd700 isn’t really an improved hd650, but rather a more neutral voiced `phone that seems to have more in common with its hd800 stable mate, the t90 likewise is voiced more like the t1 than the dt990. The t90 is also noticeably heavier than the dt990. I personally find it comfortable, but it’s weight may be a issue for some. Compared to the 990, you’ll find the t90 more neutral in its colouration, quite linear, initially somewhat dryer & pretty un- hi fi sounding. Conversely, the dt990 is a more coloured, hi fi sounding `phone.

Beyerdynamic t90 – full review – five star product. Preface: steeped in history and highly regarded by many, it is without doubt that the beyerdynamic brand is a music industry icon known not for only producing a fine array of professional and audiophile products, but for simply taking time, loyalty and attention to detail whilst doing so, which ultimately ends with a product that perfectly fits the brief. Whilst beyerdynamic has a beating heart german by nature, it is once again perfectly clear that exquisite levels of beauty have crystallised to form what we are introduced to as the tesla series ‘t 90′; an open-back 250Ω beast that earns the respect of even the most disconcerting audiophile. unboxing: arriving in a crisp white box, standard amongst the entire beyerdynamic range, you will open the package to notice a soft zipped leatherette black carry case that is interiorly adorned with a deep-grey foam lining containing both the headphones themselves and a standard gold plated 3. Upon closer inspection, it is safe to say that the carry case provides sufficient protection when in transit, and will also act as a nice addition atop of your hi-fi or sideboard. Build quality: let us first mention that these headphones are crafted in germany because this, almost immediately, provides a general consensus as to what the following notes shall be because, as expected, these are not only made to last, but the materials used inherently within the design are machined in such a way that aesthetically pass’ their charm into a timeless classic. As these headphones are almost solidly made out of high grade 3mm thick pitted aluminium, they have a nice feel in the hands and have a quality weight to match that is machined out of a solid block. In addition there is minimal use of plastics and where they are seen, their grading is of a high abs standard which seamlessly flows into the padded soft velvet material that dresses the headband and ear-cups. This material is favourable as it is gentle on the soft skin of the ear, prevents perspiration buildup from extended periods of listening which then can turn to an uncomfortable sensation, and provides a pleasantly comfortable period of listening. Although all the materials used feel substantial, if you do happen to wear these non-stop, then they are replaceable; a beyerdynamic standard. The headphone cable on the driver housing itself is pronounced, and this is both used for the love of design and to allow some give that won’t stress the internal solder points. Beyerdynamic have killed two birds with one stone here. Initially you might not notice that the t90’s are of an open back design which is mainly due to the fact that the anterior driver housing is covered in a brown kevlar material noticeably fixed with resin to the driver crossbeams. However, usually the main hazard with this design is that the sensitive drivers prone to external, or environmental, damage.
Sony MDR-XB500 Extra Bass Headphones – : An honest review.

It claims extra bass and thats what you get. I prefered this xb500 more than the sucessor xb600. As decribed, these headphones present a bass weighty response. That remaining said, the sound good quality is great for the cost, and the significant cusions give quite great noise isolation, provided there …
