The car camera works pretty good. The dash camera works fine, you are able to see clearly, and the power cable is really long so that you can wrap it around your car. Probably the only thing for me, is that i hide the camera when i leave my car, constantly removing it from the mount has made the mount a little weak – it still is secure and it does not rattle when i put it in, i just feel that if i continue to remove and remount it, eventually it may need a new mount.
I like the size and shape of the camera. I like the size and shape of the camera, the suction mount is sturdy. The video quality is very good. The video is clear, looks great. The camera give you peace of mind. If you are a cautious driver but concerned about the bad drivers out there, a dash cam can put you at ease by providing video evidence of an accident that may not be of your own fault. The rexing comes with two cables, one that plugs into a usb, and the other is a 12 volt plug in. It also includes the flat windshield mount. At this price, you get great video quality and piece of mind.

The best dashcam i’ve used with many more features than most. Update: it’s now helped with an insurance claim. From the outset i was impressed by the features of this dashcam which is different to all others i’ve used so far. On opening the box i was so pleased to see it uses a micro-usb connection (instead of mini-usb as per all other dash-cams i’ve used) which means i no longer need to carry an extra cable specifically for the dashcam and nothing else. 6m cable is included with it, so no more struggling with short 1m (or less) cables and, if preferred, this dashcam could also be use in the rear of a car – handy for monitoring or deterring nuisance tailgaters. A 12v usb adapter is included. The camera set-up takes just a few minutes using a very simple and easily accessible user interface. The good-sized up/down buttons beneath the monitor are easily reached and pressed to select preferred settings eg resolution, frame rate (up to 60fps for slow-motion playback), whether to loop recordings or not, activate motion detection, parking monitor (will trigger recording if car is bumped while parked) and set the g-sensor which, in the case of an impact, will lock the recording. My first observation in use it that it starts recording as soon as i switch on the ignition and, unlike some of the cheap dashcams, it doesn’t conflict with my sat-nav as some of the ‘cheapies’ do which need to be fully wrapped in tin-foil to prevent thisthe camera is more ‘square’ than most dashcams and has a 2′ square display rather than the more common 2. The unit is securely held in place by a windscreen sucker with a twisting locking device. Having driven along some very bumpy lanes in bright sun and later heavy rain and internal condensation, i’m pleased to say it remained permanently in place. Recordings are very good quality, smooth and show detail including vehicle number plates. The camera can also be easily controlled while driving by using the large up/down arrow buttons on its base, eg the hdr recording can be activated while driving by long-pressing the up-arrow button while the down-arrow quickly activates the camera to make an emergency recording.
This is a great little device but you do need a bit of nous to install and to set it up. Installation is covered on you tube – there are several good videos available. Usage is pretty self-explanatory if you’re prepared to experiment a bit. The mount is very stable – i’ve put mine behind the rear view mirror. Recording quality is good in daylight and acceptable at night. It records in 3min (configurable) chunks and automatically overwrites the oldest clips. Viewing is easiest if you remove the sd card and plug it into a pc. I haven’t tested the features that relate to g-sensor but the auto turn-on/off works well.
The build quality is excellent – it has the feel of a premium product – and it is incredibly simple to use (just plug it in and it works). The quality of the recording is very clear and crisp, and the added bonus of the gps gives your speed and location (play the video on your computer with the software you can see your route plotted on a map). I know some reviewers have been critical of the software, but i am not sure what more you would want it to do. It is quite discrete, fitting nicely alongside my rear view mirror.
Ausdom A261 Car Dash Cam with GPS Full HD 1080P G-Sensor Dashboard Camera : The picture quality and features are excellent of this device. Even out of the box it’s ready to go and does not require any more than a memory card and power. Nice long power cord to run around the window out of sight and hide from view. The camera puts a copy of the video player onto the card for you so you can playback and see all the gps (separate module) details when you use any video play to playback the files. Each trip is broken into 5 minute pieces and is easy to find the parts required if there was an event requiring playback.
