A few flaws but thoroughly recommended. This is the first apple computer i have owned and it has not disappointed. It is a brilliant machine that has book all other laptops i have used to shame. I bought this for college work, internet browsing and movies. The screen is easily the best i have used, it is sharp and i cannot see the pixels however close i get. It can get incredibly bright (although this does drain the battery much faster) and the colour range it can display is amazing. The trackpad is probably my favourite feature of this laptop as it makes using it a breeze. On the odd occasion where i have to use another laptop it amazes me how much faster performing tasks is. The trackpad is very large and the gestures that you can perform on it are really useful. The force touch track pad feels just like i am clicking.

Awesome product delivered speedily and safely, thanks.

Very pleased with this purchase. Brilliant machine, in original boz, hardly a mark on it. And delivery – it arrived the next day and i was expecting it for a week. Here are the specifications for the Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch Laptop:

Apple macbook pro 13-inch laptop (intel core i5, 8 gb ram, 256 gb ssd, intel iris graphics 540, os x 10. 12 sierra) – silver – 20. I have had it now for over a month and it is perfect. I was always so pleased with my old macbook (2010) which is still in use by the children and mainly used as a dvd player and for homework but this new one is something else.

So perfect with logic pro x and xfer serum. Perfect for the budding musician.

Reviews from purchasers :

  • I’m now comfortable with it
  • Really nice product!
  • Excellent, Better – but Not Perfect

My first macbook and to be honest i was not sure what to expect other than apple quality, style and simplicity. I was surprised at just how heavy it was but personally i prefer a heavier laptop as it means that it is stronger and you feel like you have something other than a feather-weight which to be honest i would feel that it is very fragile. The keyboard is really very nice and the touchpad is big, double the size of my old windows laptop. My only gripe with the bigger touchpad it makes typing awkward if you touch it as you find out that your place has moved. But that is easily over ridden to disable it and use your apple cordless mouse or with the benefit of a small lead you can connect an ordinary mouse. I think the small connections are good but it means that you need to buy an additional lead in order to add things like a mouse, graphics tablet or even a memory stick, which is annoying. Although saying that the cable i purchased was a reasonable price. I also purchased 16gb of ram which is the maximum this will take annoyingly. After checking how to do this i had to purchase a special screwdriver but this is difficult as the only one i can find is too small.

Excellent, better – but not perfect. Excellent macbook – fast, long lasting battery and a pleasure to use, in my opinion better than the previous generation= keyboard: the butterfly keyboard feels “different”. It’s indeed a bit noisier and sometimes the buttons become stiff to press due to small tolerances of the keyboard design which can get sticky, to fix it the key needs to be removed and cleaned around – i never had this issue with the original macbook keyboard. + sound: front facing speakers make the sound way more clear and immersive without the need to increase volume to hear the crisp mids and treble= ports: the lack of ports is not a problem for me, as a student, if in need just get a usb-c dongle- trackpad: the new, larger trackpad is a minor nuisance, which i find to often sense my palm and two-finger click also gets hiccups= performance: my only real issue with the laptop is that it can’t play 1080p 60fps or higher youtube video (via chrome) without dropping frames, 4k 30fps is fine, but at 60fps it starts to lose frames, 4k60 doesn’t play at all. The issue here is youtube’s video codec, which is vp9 and not as well supported by intel’s integrated graphics. However, i tested this with the most recent 2017 macbook pro model, with intel 640, and it’s still unable to play this type of video, so there’s really nothing better yet :/space gray or silver?: i went with the classic silver as i prefer the natural metallic aluminium colour rather than anodised space gray which is more vulnerable to chips and scratches being more visible. While i think 13″ is a nice sweet spot between portability and display real estate, i regret not sizing-up and getting a 15″ model which would give me a larger font size that is easier to see and videos would appear more immersive. However i also hate the new touch bar, so my only option would’ve been to get the previous generation which would have its share of cons.

I’m now comfortable with it. Bit of a shock to the system coming from windows and took a while to get used to but once settled in to apple’s way of doing things, i’m now comfortable with it. Don’t see any reason to return to windows with all its security concerns and constant updates. The high resolution screen is outstanding with brilliant colours and brightness levels. The built in speakers provide high quality sound and the keyboard and massive trackpad are very comfortable in use. In my opinion, an excellent, high quality laptop which proves the old well worn saying “you get what you pay for”. I’m pleased to have converted to the apple system and the macbook pro is highly recommended.

So i’ve had time to play around with it and i’m so glad i bought it. So i’ve had time to play around with it and i’m so glad i bought it. It’s so much better than a windows laptop. I’m a little disappointed that apple have discontinued the macbooks with cd drives but i’m over it. Lovely and sheek looking and easy to navigate. The battery lasts for hours and i haven’t needed to charge it much. And like i said, arrived a week early, which was a brilliant surprise.

A solid laptop with good performance but it has a few problems that should be addressed to justify the price tag. . I bought the laptop to replace my ageing 2011 macbook pro. This review is after three weeks of use. Pros:- screen is excellent, you cannot see the pixels from a standard viewing distance, contrast ratio is good. Colour saturation is also very good. Brightness can get very high and low. – battery life, you can expect between 8-10 hours of web browsing- speakers, actually very very good for the size, have lots of clarity- ssd speeds are very quick- lightweight- solid build quality- fast at charging- trackpad is large and responsive. Cons- not worth the £1449 price- underpowered for the price- software is buggy, doesn’t always wake from sleep, requires reboots often as the computer may not wake from sleep, it gets confused about when it is and isn’t connected to my monitor. – keyboard travel is low, it is tactile but causes me some hand pain with prolonged use. – only two usb-c ports, dongles are required.

After 5 years of using apple macbook air middle 2011, i brought this as a replacement. Would be perfect if would come with usb c/usb adapter. Keyboard need some time to adjust. I use mainly for music and watching video/internet/syncing iphone. Lack of ports on right side gives little disappointment in design.

Nothing really to add to all the plaudits bestowed on the macbook pro. I actually am anti apple, hate being ripped off for extra memory. However i hate windows 10 even more, first the amount of advertising, then the fact windows updates itself and you have no control as to when, really i wanted a laptop purely to travel with and be able to download hundreds/thousands of photographs, and with an i5 processor be able to run lightroom and photoshop. So i have very limited but specific demands for. I carry a lot of photographic equipment, so the size/weight vitally important, not using windows 10 even more important. Expensive (very) but there is a limited choice not using windows that fit’s my requirements.

I love it way too much i think i have a problem. . But totally not worth the huge price tag. I do however enjoy working on it. 5 starts for just awesome coolness, despite apple’s unbelievable ability to make me buy their sh*t even though its not as good as its windows counterparts.

I’ve owned macbooks since 2011 and i have to say this one is quite a joy to use. I laid off upgrading to a retina screen until now and i am totally gobsmacked at what i’ve been missing. It’s not just the clarity tho, the colours are so vivid that i’m noticing everything as though i were a child with awe-struck wonder. The keyboard is butterfly 2. 0, it has more travel and depth than the macbook keyboard which were way too shallow for me and somewhat annoying. The ssd is faster than a speeding bullet. I can boot up from entering my password in 15 seconds or so. I suspect with more updates this number should be reduced. With regards to battery life, i’d say it’s similar to previous gens.
