I’m now comfortable with it. Bit of a shock to the system coming from windows and took a while to get used to but once settled in to apple’s way of doing things, i’m now comfortable with it. Don’t see any reason to return to windows with all its security concerns and constant updates. The high resolution screen is outstanding with brilliant colours and brightness levels. The built in speakers provide high quality sound and the keyboard and massive trackpad are very comfortable in use. In my opinion, an excellent, high quality laptop which proves the old well worn saying ‘you get what you pay for’. I’m pleased to have converted to the apple system and the macbook pro is highly recommended.
Awesome product delivered speedily and safely, thanks.
A few flaws but thoroughly recommended. This is the first apple computer i have owned and it has not disappointed. It is a brilliant machine that has book all other laptops i have used to shame. I bought this for college work, internet browsing and movies. The screen is easily the best i have used, it is sharp and i cannot see the pixels however close i get. It can get incredibly bright (although this does drain the battery much faster) and the colour range it can display is amazing. The trackpad is probably my favourite feature of this laptop as it makes using it a breeze. On the odd occasion where i have to use another laptop it amazes me how much faster performing tasks is. The trackpad is very large and the gestures that you can perform on it are really useful. The force touch track pad feels just like i am clicking.
After 5 years of using apple macbook air middle 2011, i brought this as a replacement. Would be perfect if would come with usb c/usb adapter. Keyboard need some time to adjust. I use mainly for music and watching video/internet/syncing iphone. Lack of ports on right side gives little disappointment in design.
A solid laptop with good performance but it has a few problems that should be addressed to justify the price tag. . I bought the laptop to replace my ageing 2011 macbook pro. This review is after three weeks of use. Pros:- screen is excellent, you cannot see the pixels from a standard viewing distance, contrast ratio is good. Colour saturation is also very good. Brightness can get very high and low. – battery life, you can expect between 8-10 hours of web browsing- speakers, actually very very good for the size, have lots of clarity- ssd speeds are very quick- lightweight- solid build quality- fast at charging- trackpad is large and responsive. Cons- not worth the £1449 price- underpowered for the price- software is buggy, doesn’t always wake from sleep, requires reboots often as the computer may not wake from sleep, it gets confused about when it is and isn’t connected to my monitor. – keyboard travel is low, it is tactile but causes me some hand pain with prolonged use. – only two usb-c ports, dongles are required.
Apple MacBook Pro 13-inch Laptop (Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, Intel Iris Graphics 540, OS X 10.12 Sierra) – Silver – 2016 – MLUQ2B/A – UK Keyboard : I’ve owned macbooks since 2011 and i have to say this one is quite a joy to use. I laid off upgrading to a retina screen until now and i am totally gobsmacked at what i’ve been missing. It’s not just the clarity tho, the colours are so vivid that i’m noticing everything as though i were a child with awe-struck wonder. The keyboard is butterfly 2. 0, it has more travel and depth than the macbook keyboard which were way too shallow for me and somewhat annoying. The ssd is faster than a speeding bullet. I can boot up from entering my password in 15 seconds or so. I suspect with more updates this number should be reduced. With regards to battery life, i’d say it’s similar to previous gens.
