New apple macbook pro 13 inch laptop (intel core i5 dual core 2. 3ghz, 4gb ram, 320gb hdd, up to 7 hrs battery life) – launched february 2011 what can i say. 5 year ago and is from the future. It is silent, fast, with excellent construction, stable and no crashes, secure easily transfer anywhere and is the best buy in electronics i’ve ever done.
I know it’s expensive but that’s an apple for you-and a given. It’s beautifully engineered and superb to use. The screen does not seem small and the processing power is amazing. My son is using it for music tech and the size and battery capacity are ideal.
As usual with all apple products you have a great design that look good and is bomb proof. Starts up in a jiffy and handles all my programme needs quickly and efficiently without crashing unlike my many previous windows machines.
I have the macbook pro for a few days now, and these are my impressions. The machinei wanted to be ‘wowed’ by the machine and the software, but to be honest, i don’t get the wow effect from the design, i really don’t see what all the fuss is about. It’s good, but it’s not that good, especially for the money. You could get a similar sony vaio for less cash. For me, a 13′ screen is too small, but i couldn’t afford another £500 to get the screen 2′ bigger. Although, i am impressed with amazon selling them cheaper than apple, but hey, apple are not known for bargainsthe most advanced operating system?osx lion has some fantastic features, especially if you are used to using an ios device. Sweeping between webpages is very much like using my ipad, and i like the way they render. Somethings in lion are not well considered though, and smack of the walled garden that annoys me about apple and it’s anti-competetive revenue streams.
The best laptop i’ve ever owned. It was a bit of a leap of faith, but i finally decided last month to switch from windows laptops, which i’d been using for a decade, to a macbook pro. This is an incredible piece of kit. Yes, it’s beautiful aesthetically, but its beauty isn’t skin deep. The macbook pro, even in its 13′ incarnation, blazes through all kinds of intensive tasks like graphics and video processing. The display is remarkably rich, with deep contrast: no pc monitor i’ve used measures up. The battery life is fantastic – i can get over 5 hours of browsing/editing documents on one charge. As a ‘power user’ on windows, i was worried i’d struggle with os x, but after a few weeks i’m perfectly happy whizzing around the screen doing everything i need. Like the hardware, os x is nice to look at, but also powerful, and surprisingly customisable, underneath.
Apple Macbook Pro 13-inch Laptop (Intel Core i5 Dual Core 2.3 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB HDD, Intel HD, OS X) – Silver – 2011 : Best laptop i have ever had. Extremely clever and easy to use. It leaves pcs with windows vista and windows 7 miles behind.
