Out of the box these don’t sound that great, however after a few eq tweaks on the connected device; these surprised me with how deep the bass is. The high are clear but not crisp. As it is a bluetooth device the highs can be forgiven. I truly believe you can not get better for the price. I’ve come to love these earphone and use them regularly at the gym. Note: i was a bit underwhelmed on first connection, as the sound was quite thin; as mentioned before, this was resolved after eq’ing accordingly. I’ve given this 5 stars due to the price vs quality.
Bought a second pair as the first went through the wash by mistake. They work straight from the box. They would be value for money at 3 times the price. The only problem is that they are intermittent when twinned with my iphone 5 when the phone is in the back pocket of a cycle jersey. I have to stuff the phone up the front of the jersey for them to work – which is annoying. To be fair to anker it maybe an iphone issue. Why buy again if they won’t work in a back pocket?. Everything else about them is so good i would rather the devil i know than buy another make that aren’t as good and still don’t work from the back pocket.
Sound quality is a little on the high end side with a notable lack of bass and overall body. But for the price it’s acceptable. Connecting to a device was straightforward and the buds fitted fine without any of the other supplied clips/grips. I have since returned them as they failed to charge after about two weeks. The red charge light came on, but never went out, and once unplugged they would not turn on. Could be a one off however, but worth mentioning. Edit: anker have since been in touch, unprompted, and offered to replace them for free as a gesture of good will. Edit2: the new headphones are entirely different. They sound much better (sound has more body and low end) and so far the battery is lasting longer. The charge light also seems to be brighter than the original set i had.
These earphones are fantastic and better than i was expecting. I was searching for some wireless bluetooth earphones for around 3 months and keep coming back to 2 options these and the much more expensive jaybird x2, someone i knew already had the jaybirds and they were of good quality but didn’t seem to fit in my ears properly so i decided to buy the anker soundbuds and they have not disappointed. As soon as you receive the product you can tell it is of good quality materials from the feel of the product. Comes with 3 different sets of ear hooks and ear moulds which take a while to get a good fit trying all combinations but as soon as you get the right fit you know. Also in the packaging is a micro usb charging cable with its own anker branded velcro strap and a nice velvet feel snap pouch. Connecting to the bluetooth is really easy just pairs up straight away no fuss. Used these for around 4 hours for a fishing trip and never lost connection with the bluetooth even though i was walking up and down the bank regulally away from my device. The sound is of great quality and you can feel bass. These are my best purchase of ear phones. Cons – velvet snap pouch could be slightly bigger.
Features of Anker sound buds Bluetooth in-ear headphones collar sport earbuds – 8 hours playtime, IPX4 splashproof for jogging, workout, fitness, headphones with mic for iPhone, Android, MP3 & more (black)
Incredible playing time:Sound buds deliver an impressive 8-hour performance with just one charge (The actual playing time depends on the volume and content of the audio file.)
Designi was looking for a bluetooth earphone that was not too bulky. Those these do not have as big a body as some, they are still quite substantial. As these do not have in line controls, all the functions are with the earphones themselves. Because of this bulk, i have to use the ear hooks, even when i am sitting still. For me, that makes them a little uncomfortable after about an hours worth of use. Pairingi purchased them mainly for use with my samsung tv. For some reason though, they would not pair with the tv direct and i had to use a bluetooth adaptor connected to the headphone jack. Pairing with my samsung galaxy 7 edge was far more straightforward. Either on the tv or my phone these start to distort and lose sound when only around 5 metres away.
Anker make superb products at a great price and the 2016 release in-ear sport bluetooth earbuds are certainly good quality. The ipx4 sweatproof rating ensures that exercising can done without worry of damaging the buds and the noise cancellation does a good job in an active environment. Battery life on the earbuds is excellent at 8 hours which is perfect for day to day use, a reasonable airplane flight, few trips to the gym or even run a marathon (unless you’re like me where as it would take days to run that far. )pairing the earbuds is very simple, just hold the power button until the led flashes blue and they become visible on your phone. Over a few weeks use connection was automatic and unlike other bt earphones i never had a need to re-pair. The power button is on the surface of one earbud and the vol adjustment on the other with the micro-usb charging port. Sound quality is good for earbuds at this price point and with some tweaking of your phones eq will be sufficient for most people’s needs, particularly when you remember that these earbuds are aimed at the day to day and excercise wearer. Audiophiles however may feel the sound is too thin in the mids/highs and they would be right – these are however remember are £17 and not £200+i however had to drop 2 stars for the following reasons:1. After an hour or so of wearing i found them a little uncomfortable. Earbuds are highly personal items in my opinion and i accept i’m extremely fussy because i wear them all day long.
These headphones have pretty good sound quality, they’re comfortable to wear, and they do a great job at blocking out external noise – i struggle to hear people speaking to me when i’m not listening to anything but have my headphones in – so take care when crossing roads, running and definitely don’t use them while cycling or skateboarding. The downsides are that a single charge lasts for 3-4 hours – less than half of the 8 hours quoted in the product description, but double that of my previous bluetooth earbud headphones – and their playback controls do not allow you to skip backwards: you can only pause, play or skip forward to the next track.

I normally love anker products, and am a big fan of their cables especially. In terms of quality, they’re the best. This is why i was happy to see them enter into the bluetooth headphones market, as i expected the same value from them. Within two days of receiving these headphones, they begsan falling apart. This was astounding in a pair of headphones marketed to be sports buds. The volume rocker fell off completely. Despite the obvious ramifications of not being able to change the volume from the earbuds themselves, the volume rocker is also how you pair the headphones with devices. They’re now effectively useless except to the device they were initially paired with. And that’s not even mentioning the fact that the internals of the device are now exposed through the hole where the volume rocker used to be.
I’ve been very happy with these earbuds, very versatile, nice sound output, very convenient quality/price ratio. Defects: 1) mic was awful, i was never able to use them for calls. 2) after less than one year they started to fall apart, to open, to loose pieces (the plastic lids or the vol button). They lasted from feb to dec, and stopped working. For a bit more than 10 pounds i wouldn’t call them bad, but maybe it is the case to spend a bit more and buy some durable ones. Anger itself makes some better than this.
Look great and felt premium but i was disappointed with the audio quality of these. The volume range i felt was limited and the base level was non existent. I found the cable to be really annoying if word around the back if my beck; kept getting caught under my collar, but that might just be my fat neck. ;)look good and are not a bad buy for the price; i’d recommend if you want some inexpensive bluetooth headphones, but i can’t help feel that most would rather spend a little more to listen to music on.
Comfortable fit:To ensure a perfect fit for each user, S / M / L earpieces are included. The collar prevents tangles and gives you freedom of movement.
Ok, so it doesn’t take a genius to figure out how to use something like this, but seriously; the instructions are very poor. Anker have tried to simplify the instructions – which is commendable, but that shouldn’t make them nonsensical. The most confusing part is where it mentions answering/rejecting calls “answer/end call | press and hold for 1 second | reject call”. So pressing and holding for one seconds. What does that do; answer the call, or reject it?. You’d expect two distinct button-presses/combinations for each of those actions. but then again, i didn’t realise until these earphones arrived that they were capable of acting as a voice handsfree kit, so i’ll forgive thatso, rant aside, these are pretty good earphones. The quality is very solid, as you’d expect from anker. They paired very simply and easily with my samsung s7 edge, and the sound quality is very good, with surprisingly-good bass from something so small.
The diameter of the earbuds are too big to fit in my ears which means there is no seal, so no bass or sound cancellation and they fall out very easily. Tried the smaller rubber buds but they are too wide as well. Any other brand of wired earbuds fit me fine, but not these. From the small testing i could also hear static fuzzy audio which i’m assuming is because of the bluetooth connection, my phone was on the table next to me. Edit: i tried a pair of anker sport ie20 instead and they fit like a dream. Perfect sound cancelling, sound quality and bass. Amazing customer service from anker.
Anker is quickly becoming my accessory manufacturer of choice, i have purchased a few of their products now – these headphones are fantastic. 99 price tagthe headphones themselves come with a range of different size fittings for your ears, they come with a little felt pouch to hold your headphones when you’re not storing them and the sound quality is fabulous. If you’re in the market for a set of wireless headphones and don’t want to break the bank, these are definitely worth a buy.
Splash-proof IPX4 certification:Built to keep up with your active lifestyle.
So i have previously bought a set of the anker ie20 bluetooth headphones prior to these and those are amazing; 5/5 stars for value & quality (at the price). I thus decided to get these (the sportbuds sport un) as they are a more recent model and i though they would be even better. Big mistake; they don’t have aptx codec functionality at all, the reception drops from 2m away from the transmitter device (mine supports two devices at once so i have both these and the ie20s paired at the same time and the ie20s work at far greater distance with no drop-outs) and to make things even worse, the sound cuts out on a regular basis. The soundbuds sport un may be cheap at £16. 99 but they sure aren’t anything compared to the previous ie20 model (at £21. My advice; spend the extra £5er and get the ie20 model (which also has a very useful magnetic on/off feature when the headphones clip together). Edit: i contacted anker customer support and they were very easy to deal with – they replaced these with a set of ie20s which are a far superior product in my opinion. Thus have raised the review by 1 * (but only because of the support – i’d still give the product a two star rating).
Not great in any way to be honest. I don’t blame anker however, as it is extremely good value for money, but maybe a bit more is needed to make this the perfect value for money product. I must mention: i haven’t yet been able to test the battery on these, and so cannot comment on that. My first wireless headset, and it is very convenient. I didn’t want to jump into jaybird’s as my first headset, because i wanted to see what it is like to use a wireless headset and it is a pleasant experience. With my bluetooth speaker, it takes about a second for the song on the speaker to change after i change it on my phone, but on these it is instantaneous. This makes the experience amazing, because it still feels like you have wires attached yet you have the freedom. -good sound for pop music (see con no.
An absolutely amazing product. I have been using these earphones near enough everyday. The battery lasted me for about 2 weeks and the charging takes a couple of hours. The quality is really good but you have to get the right sized earbuds in the ears. The hook really latches on to the ear. Obviously comparing bluetooth earphones to corded earphones, the latter do have better quality when it comes to bass however these earphones are very clear. In the gym i hate using corded earphones because they always get in the way for example whenever you are on the treadmill, cross trainer or even using weights. The bluetooth earphones are fantastic and very convenient. For the price you will not find any bluetooth earphones that are better than the anker ones. I just hope that anker sends me products to review because i am a huge fan.
Initial review based on first usage. As usual with anker product, it is neatly packaged, the device was supplied fully charged. Pairing the device with my samsung galaxy s7 was faultless. The controls are simple but intuitive to use. Sound wise for the price point i think they sound excellant, i generally use sennheiser or bose but as gym earphones these are superb, i run poweramp as my music player of choice and with all settings flat these are clear and articulate. Lets see how they survive in the gym environment.
As a product these are really good bluetooth earphones, that just work without hassles. The sound quality is good (not quite among the best) but you get what you pay for, and you really can’t complain. I use it with iphone and a work around to sound quality is just switching between “rock” and “late night” equalisers for different songs if i don’t quite prefer the output. The only issue i have is with fit. I have been using them for daily workouts and commutes. For commutes and light walks these are fine and hold on well, but workouts are where i face trouble that they just refuse to stay in no matter what included attachment i use. I figured that since the battery is in the buds themselves, they are heavy and do tend to move independent of ears due to their on inertia while jogging/moving at higher frequency. The ear bud tips provided come in 3 sizes, s/m/l and smalls are really redundant if you consider the fit alone. For a normal adult, either medium or large will do. Now there are 2 anchor points to your buds, one is the attachment (ear hook) and other is the bud tip that goes into ear itself.
As a long suffering, sleep deprived person i decided to try a sleep app on my ipad. Worked well until i got tangled up with the ear phone cord during the night. Not quite the relaxed sleep i had hoped for. Searched around and read reviews for a good pair of reasonably priced bluetooth headphones to see if this would be a better way of trying to get some sleepi decided upon the anker headphones as they seemed to do everything i needed. The package was small and sleek and had a high end feel about it. The instructions were short and concise and very easy to follow. I’m not tecchy-minded but still i managed to get these to pair on the first attempt. The bluetooth range is good and the charge holds for a whole night of relaxing sleep. As for the fit, i have very small ears (i must be noddy and not big ears) and so always have trouble with in ear buds staying in the ear (not ideal). These ear phones come with two sets of changeable buds for those with small ears and ‘normal’ ones.
I’m really, *really*, picky about earphones – mostly because they fall out of my ears when i run. I had found a set of wired earphones that worked perfectly for me and these have a slightly different ear bud design. Add to that the additional weight and i thought this had high chances of not working. I have other anker products that are awesome, so i gave them the benefit of the doubt. I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The design is very good, they do stay in my ear, though they don’t feel *perfectly* secure. They come with different sizes bits to find the balance for your ear, which is good as i have weird ears. They are a lot lighter than i expected them to be and based on that, the battery last longer than i expected. I’ve been out on two long runs and have yet to charge them. Functionally, they are brilliant.
I picked up the anker soundbuds after comparing similar bluetooth headphones, namely the aukey series. While the product is fine, i have a few bug bears with it that i will list below. The fit – the fit is a bit off even with the additional ear hook insert, with there was a small metal wire inside the ear-hook to ensure there is additional flexibility and better fit. The sound – the sound is a little flat as neither the bass or treble is up to the mark, while this is expected from a budget bluetooth earphone, there are few option in the £7-£12 range which offer better audio output. Battery – the battery lasts up to 5-6 hours on a full charge, and the connect seem to be continuous till the battery dips a bit low. Ergonomics – the wire connecting the buds could be a little smoother or braided as they easily get tangled or caught in the collar of the clothes, a little bit of length would also be a boon. Conclusion – i could have gotten more or less the same features from another brand, without being splash-proof for a lesser price £6-£8, cannot complain as it is only £12 but would not buy again at the same price. Microphone clarity – pretty average, no active noise cancellation. But voice is carried over clear. Packaging – functional, with various sizes of earbuds and ear-hooksbluetooth headphones, anker wireless headphones with magnetic earbuds, secure fit for sport, running, gym with built-in mic, noise cancellation, and ipx4 sweatproof.
I purchased these for use in the gym as i dont like having wires getting in the way or having a large phone in my pocket. The range seems dependent on the phone as i have used with two different phones and the range varies between them both but i can still leave my phone on the windowsill at the gym and they work throughout. Battery life is sufficient although a longer warning signal would be useful. I was expecting the volume control to double up as a skip track function however this does not appear to be the case. Overall over several months of usage in the gym my only complaint is that i find one ear bud will not remain in my ear and will keep falling out but overall well worth the cheap investment if sound quality id not your highest priority.
