Good quality multifunction sensor. This is a great multifunction sensor with the bonus of being able to power it from a usb charger to avoid battery issues. This paired to my smartthings hub without any issues (though i’ve downloaded a different device handler so i have more control over reporting intervals of illuminance for switching my lights).

Solid z-wave plus multi-sensor. As well as this, i’ve got one of the fibaro multi-sensors. This is very slightly larger, and because of the shape slightly more obvious, than the fibaro sensor. The advantages though are that you can power it over usb, and it has a humidity sensor. This is proving a very reliable, effective, device. I’m using it with home assistant (via openzwave), and it works without issue. I did have to factory reset it first though, but it’s possible i received a unit that had been returned (based on the fact that the adhesive pad was missing). The configuration options are good, if a bit fiddly, making it possible to adjust things like the temperature report to account for the fact that it’s warmer at the ceiling, or change the thresholds for reports. If you’re debating between this and the aeotec one, then for me it comes down to a choice between a compact install (fibaro), or more sensors and optionally mains powered (aeotec).

Plays well with samsung smartthings. I’m using it with samsung’s smartthings as a sensor in my garage. A couple of negatives:- it doesn’t come with batteries – i feel that’s a bit mean. – i’m not convinced that the lux or uv sensors are especially accurate. Some pros:- an amazing array of sensors in a tiny box. – unlike samsung’s sensors, which report in 0. 5 degree increments, this one reports to 0. – the battery life is phenomenal – but make sure you have it battery powered when you set it up. • Light sensor

Got it to work as the gen6 profile is now in the web editor. Lovely tiny sensor that does the job really well for smart home automation. I have mine turning on lights after sunset if presence detected and turn off if not with a five min delay. Also part of a security app that notifies us if out and about of any motion in the house. It also sets off lights flashing and siren. Wonderful and not bad pricing.

Works well, but follow these instructions to avoid dropouts. I dont usually write reviews but i felt this might be useful for others. I paired this with the vera edge. Make sure you do initial pairing with the power source you intend to use. Ie pair with battery inserted if you intend to use battery power (usb for usb power). If you pair using usb to power sensor then put batteries in later to power it, then your connection to the vera z wave controller will drop from time to time. To reset the sensor you have to delete your z wave controller setup and also press the action button on sensor for 20 seconds. Then restart pairing process again. The battery contacts need to be pushed out on some of the sensors for them to work. The temperature was misreading on one sensor, but i reset it and works fine now.

Works graet with samsung smartthings. All sensors are accurate but i do find the motion sensor to be a little slow on triggering the switches compared to the smartthings sensor. Having said that you do get a lot more for you money in comparison, smartthings sensors only do a few tasks like motion and temp or open and closed with temp. This sensor does motion sensor, humidity sensor, thermometer, light sensor and uv light meter and all for £45, each sensor from smartthings will set you back £30 each( if you can find them in stock). This sensor can also be used outside which is an added bonus, especially if you want to monitor light levels and exterior motion for light activation. You can run this unit from usb for a continuous update or from battery with a less frequent update. Besten Aeon Labs Multisensor 6 – Z-Wave Plus

Product was easy to install. It integrated seamlessly with domotiga and is doing the job. On a plus side, the micro usb cable takes the worry of changing the batteries away. I also intend to use the humidity sensor to manage the heat recovery ventilation system. Now i have taken a star away for the crazy temperature readings, see picture (i at times get a reading of 68c or more degrees). I do not know if the issue is due to a problem with my device or if it affects all devices. So for that reason i have taken a star away.

Cracking little multisensor. These are great little sensors. I have one in my utility room running on batteries to operate lights (using a aeotec switch) depending on motion and lux levels. I have another in my garage running from the mains to act as a zwave repeater, operate lights (using a couple of sonoff switches) depending on motion, and as part of my intruder alarm. A bit tricky to setup, but i have found that the case with most zwave devices using home assistant.

Range is fine when used with an aeotec zenstick – had bigger. Occasionally seems to stop sending temperature data, although whether that is the sensor, or whether the open z-wave software is the problem, is hard to establish. Range is fine when used with an aeotec zenstick – had bigger issues trying to use it with a zme z-wave dongle.

Great device, easy to setup and use with smartthings. Great device, easy to setup and use with smartthings, but lux sensor (light) isn’t very accurate, but i expected this. As this uses the new z-wave chip, it connects over a larger area, and also extends the z-wave network, if plugged into power, using a micro usb cable (included) which is great. I hope the next version to have a more reliable lux sensor and usb c, as all devices will hopefully go this way.

Bought 2 multi sensors one worked fine straight out of the box with a smartthings hub. Bought 2 multi sensors one worked fine straight out of the box with a smartthings hub, all sensors working, although their accuracy is yet to be determined. The seal on the box of the other appeared that the box may have been previously opened. Smarthings picked it up straight away but the motion and tamper sensors do not work. Tried a full reset of sensor and removal from smartthings to no avail. At the moment having no joy with amazon returns process, keeps erroring on submission.

Very good, not water proof, a bit expensive and batteries not supplied. Also senses humidity and temperature more precisely than the samsung smarthings monitor. 1 whereas the samsung ones sense to +/-0. Lux monitor is interesting but i have no use for it larger as its nit water proof and so can’t leave it outside the house. That also stops it being used as a weather station. Other cons are that its a bit expensive and batteries aren’t included but there is a usb cable supplied that can power it.

Bought this for a friend who connected it to his smart things and uses it to detect light level and motion. He says they work better than the smart things motion sensors so i may well end up buying myself a few.

Neat little unit; has yet to prove itself. But, i really can’t decide if it constitutes value for money.
